The Amazing Mapusaurus

For my 200th post special, I decided to make an info sheet with a lesser-known dinosaur that lived in the shadow of Giganotosaurus.

                        MAPUSAURUS

Size:

At about 14 feet tall and 42 feet long, Mapusaurus was a large, 5.8 ton killer.

Diet:

Mapusaurus was the second largest carnivore of it's range, smaller than Giganotosaurus, but larger than Skorpionevator. It ate what it could catch, including sauropods. It preusemably munted in packs to take down large sauropods such as Argentinosaurus.

Lifestyle:

Not much is known about Mapusaurus lifestyle and behavior, but we can presume that it was mostly solitary, but would hunt in packs to bring down larger creatures. As with most carnivores, Mapusaurus would've most likely fiercely defended it's territory. Males might've helped raise young, as birds today do, as birds are related to dinosaurs.

I hope you enjoyed...

THE AMAZING MAPUSAURUS!

Great. I think that this is pretty accurate. Maybe a bit small, I have it as 45 feet and 6 tons, as well as a perfect sauropod killing machine. Basically, I would rather run into a lone Giganotosaurus than one of these things. Because it will have a pack nearby. Wait, what was that sound...

Well it WAS hard to trust Wikipedia. (Don't ask why I used that site). I did make it a bit smaller.

Wikipedia, hmm, not going to question that logic. I go to several different sites, then make it bigger. It can always be beiges.

god i missed this site..Mapu is closely related to Giga, so if mapu hunted in packs...giga probably did too.

Well, yes. Probably. I have the idea that Giganotosaurus was more of a big brute, that hunted in a small 2-3 family pack. Mapusaurus was the scout that hunted in 7+ groups. At least right now. It changes.

Cool dino, deffinately one of the largest.

Giga was a lot heavier, I still can't tell wether or not it's larger than carchar.

Youre fat, and I'm not sugarcoating it cause you'd probably eat that too.

Very well done and very accurate.

Keep in mind that many people have died for their beliefs; it's actually quite common. The real courage is in living and suffering for what you believe in. -Brom-

Nice.

Personally, I put Mapusaurus at 33-40 ft long and 3-5 tons, Carcharodontosaurus at 36-40 ft long and 5-7 tons, and Giganotosaurus at 40-46 ft long and 7-8.5 tons.
