Description: “Without a doubt the single Deadliest animal I’ve encountered. Powerful, intelligent, quick, large, bullets only piss it off, etc, etc. Tyrannosaurus is 165 million years of evolution, culminating into the most perfect killing machine ever known” -Drake Nile. Tyrannosaurus rex is known as the King of the dinosaurs, and is an unbelievably powerful ambush predator. There are two known “types” of Tyrannosaurs, the Plains type, and the Jungle type. The Plains type are built slightly more for running, and are less powerful, but more agile then their forest brethren. The Plains tyrannosaurs are usually a dull yellow in females and a more earthy brown in males. They are more slender, and have pyramidal crests over their eyes. They are much less spiky then the Jungle type, and have feathers on their tails and tops of their necks. The Jungle Type is built more for ambush, and such, they are more robust, bui;t for power, and darkly colored. Females have small crests, are light grey, and lack the large snout “horns” or “knobs”. Males in both types are larger and more powerful, however the females are more robust, similar to roosters and hens. Male Jungle types have large almost horned crests, display spines similar to that of iguanas, however they look similar to black cockatoo feathers, short feathers on their arms, and large. sharp, bony knobs sheathed in keratin. We believe these to be used in competition and fights over food, territory, and females. The Males are charcoal grey to jet black. Both genders of the Jungle species are cloaked in spikes and beta-keratin osteoderms, although males’ spikes, scutes, and osteoderms are larger, and used for intimidation and protection. Tyrannosaurs weigh so much they can shake the ground with each step, or being ambush predators, sneak up behind you without the victim even knowing. There are two elusive specimens of each type that have been documented hunting anything from the giant 120 ft long Alamosaurus to the rhino as big as an elephant, Triceratops, to people. These two specimens are probably the biggest threat to humans, as they see people as not only prey, but as competition, so they go out of their way to kill civilians. Both of these animals must be stopped at all costs, as they are creating a huge impact on the ecosystem, and killing hundreds of innocents.

Send to Drake Nile with following Message: Both are elusive, and nearly unstoppable. However, you and your team are tasked with, well, stopping it. Drake, we know your team is stationed in Africa now, and luckily there is one of the two severe threats nearby you. It is a Plains Type your team has nicknamed Typhoon. However, take it down ASAP, because the bigger of the two threats is said to be living in the Amazon jungle. This animal is nicknamed the Reaper. Its name is deserved. This is the animal in the File Photograph, the only photo known of the Reaper and the picture that was first viable evidence of Dinosauria coming back, what initiated Project: Eagle Eye. Get to the Reaper and neutralize the threat ASAP.

-Yours Kindly,

The Director.

UPDATE: After supposedly killing the Reaper, new sightings have come to light suggesting it survived the fall. Drake, you need to get out there and locate it, then rid it from the world once and for all. We are sending you new members for your team as we speak. Drake, this is a Code Red situation, it now views humans as threats and has killed and eaten over 176 people. Move fast, and help those people. This is a top priority, do it NOW.

-The Director

Awesome. Really looking forward to reading more of these, but if I may say something, your sizes are a bit too much (imo). The weight seems about right, but 45-55 feet is quite a stretch, since most adult specimen were at 35-40 feet and the largest (that is not extremely fragmentary) was at 43 feet. Anyway, very entertaining and is there possibly going to be a second installment to your first story?

Cool and looking forward to seeing more of these. Same question as UCMP regarding a second story.

1) there are actually a surplus of not-as-well-known specimens that could move up Rex's size. the weights would fit the animal of that length quite well, too. We have a small population found of Tyrannosaurus, so we most likely havent even found the largest or oldest, and these new specimens suggest that as well.

2) Thank you, you guys!

3) You have picked up on my hint at the end have you? Yes. There will. Let's just say that people aren't the dominant animals anymore. Dinosaurs have taken back what was theirs. ;)

But my point is that even if we find x-amount of Rex specimens at 60+ feet length. The average would still be at 35-40 feet. Don't get me wrong, with all the fragmentary specimen and considering how few we have found so far, it's pretty much clear that they could've reached such sizes, probably even larger, but the average ones would've been a good bit smaller.

The average could be moved up if over 1/3 of the specimens are larger. Sue, isn't the largest by far. Many more specimens have been found, they are just awaiting further description. Even my boss, the paleontologist agrees woth my estimates.

If we include all the abnormally sized specimen which haven't been described yet, then the average would rise by a very big deal. The problem here is that I don't have any connections to professional paleontologists and therefore don't recieve as much information on undescribed specimen.

Well as someone who does have connections with professional paleontologists, I can tell you that the average rises a great deal when you consider the fewer known specimens, and the undescribed specimens. The average should be about 43-55 ft in lenght with a max of about 63 ft. WHich is the size of the Reaper. But are you guys picking up what I said about the sequel?

I believe what you said about the larger T. rex specimens Primal King. Until the info is actually published, I'll keep my average estimate for T. rex at 12-13 meters long and 8-9 tons with 14-15 meters long and 10-12 tons as the max. But I can't wait for this info to be officially published :)
