Muldoon's Rescue
It was about ten years since Terrance and Muldoon found the juvenile. Muldoon ended up calling her Thorn because she was just like Terrance when he was younger. Muldoon didn't know why, but Thorn was growing at a slow rate. She was about eleven years old and she was barely one thousand pounds in weight.
Terrance and Thorn were an effective hunting pair, and nothing could escape them if they decided they wanted to eat it. There was a virus that went around Isla Nublar. It only affected the herbivores, and there were very few left on the island. Terrance had killed all the other carnivores on the island, and food was running low, the only herbivores being Triceratops and Brachiosaurus, as well as the occasional Parasaurolophus.
They were at the watering hole, and the only thing there was a large Barchiosaurus. Terrance looked at the Brachiosaurus, prepared to try and kill it. Thorn on the other hand, looked at Muldoon. Thorn growled, and Terrance turned to see what she was growling at. Terrance saw that Thorn was wanted to eat Muldoon, and he growled at her. Terrance turned to walk towards the Brachiosaurus herd, and Thorn growled again.
Terrance turned to face her, and he saw Muldoon was pointing the Barrett at her. Terrance knew what the .50 cal was capable of, and he put his head in the way and faced Muldoon. Muldoon pulled the trigger as Terrance turned to face him, and he got hit between the eyes. Terrance reared up and roared in pain as Thorn ran behind him. Terrance lied down and started shaking his head, trying to get rid of the headache.
Meanwhile, Muldoon was making his way to the docks. He knew he was lucky with the damage the Barrett did to Terrance. When he got to the docks, he saw military ships. He wasn't sure what they were doing, but he didn't care either.
Muldoon walked to the nearest person he saw, and the General immediately asked who he was. "I'm Robert Muldoon. I was the game warden here a few years back in 1993." "I'll ask John about you later. What's with the sniper rifle?" "I had some weapons for emergencies, and when the park was abandoned, I grabbed this rifle in case I needed to hunt or defend myself." "Obviously you needed to hunt." "No actually, until about ten minutes ago, the Tyrannosaurus looked after me." "If that's true, what happened ten minutes ago?" "Something killed all but the meanest herbivores, and the juvenile T-Rex that we found wanted to eat me. I think the big one agreed with her, so I shot the big one with this rifle." "You shot a Tyrannosaurus Rex with a .50 cal and it survived? Where did you hit it." "It's not surprising that it survived. If anything, I'm surprised with the damage it did." "What do you mean?" "I hit him right between the eyes and he seemed dizzy, the small one hid behind him." "I'll send some men to check it out." "Don't do that, a .50 cal made him dizzy at twenty feet, your assault rifles won't do anything but anger him." "Alright then, come with us."
Meanwhile, Terrance recovered and started tracking Muldoon, quickly reaching the docks. The boats were all leaving, and Terrance watched. He roared in anger, and some men heard it. "That's the Rex I was talking about." "He's huge, what should we do?" "I don't care." "Then we can kill him?" "Go ahead."
Terrance watched, and he could see a man with a tube on the deck. He wasn't sure what it was, but he saw something flying towards him. He wasn't sure what it was when it hit him. The RPG had hit him head on, but the distance was too great, and there wasn't enough fuel left to cause a major explosion. The explosion knocked Terrance out, but it wasn't lethal.
