Length: 2 meters
Height: 1.4 meters
Weight: 100 lbs
Oviraptor is the garbage disposal of both islands. They eat virtually anything. For the most part, they stick to small reptiles and mammals, but in times of desperation, they will eat berries and ferns. They are solitary creatures, only accepting other members of the species in the mating season. Oviraptor has a light blue-green covering of feathers, with a bronze throat.
Unenlagia
Length: 2 meters
Weight: 50 lbs
Height: 1.2 meters
Unenlagia looks like the bird from hell. it even acts much like a bird, spending most of its time in the trees. From there, it searches for its main source of prey: small herbivores, especially young ones. Unenlagia has a bizarre hunting tactic. It sits on low lying branches, sitting as still as a gargoyle. When an animal blunders by, it jumps from the tree and onto the hapless victims back. The large sickle shaped claws on each foot do the rest. Enenlagia is a rustic red with faint purple tiger like stripes running down the back.
And...begin..
The carcass of a large monitor lizard falls hard to the ground, and four little fuzzy oviraptor babies rush over. The mother watches with pride at her youngsters viciously tearing the reptile apart. The large dirt mound that was their nest has skeletons strewn about, the stench of decay is ever present.
The mother oviraptor coos softly and rustles her downy feathers. She lies beside the nest, keeping one eye on her youngsters, and one eye out for predators. Her babies had already eaten most of the carcass, and wih her stomach growling, the mother went to check for any scraps.
The youngsters had picked it clean in a matter of minutes.
The mother oviraptor looked around hesitantly. She was hungry, but not starving. She glanced over at her young. They had all piled together, and some were now sleeping. Rather hesitant, she walked off at a brisk pace. Her babies would be fine. She would make a kill as quick as she could.
She walks out of her clearing, and onto the shore of the large pristine lake. Eagle eyed, she scanned for a suitable target. Small iguanodonts and nodosaurs dotted the shoreline directly in front of her, occasionally interuppted by a sauropod of spectacular proportions.
A soft chirping came from the trees directly to her left. her eyes locked on a small bird like animal, sitting on a low branch. The animal noticed at once, and became dead silent. They're eyes locked, and the only sound to be heard was the bellowing of the sauropod. The oviraptor took a few steps forward. The Unenlagia sprang from the branch, arms stretched and killin claw at the ready.
The oviraptor stepped to the side, and the Dromaeosaur landed hard on the ground. The mother dinosaur backed up a couple steps as the Unenlagia got to her feet. She hissed at the oviraptor, and tapped her sickle claw on the hard packed earth.
The oviraptor stood watching for a moment, a bit confused on the situation. Her stomach growled again, and she remembered what she had come for. Undeterred, she advanced.
The Dromaeosaur sprang forward, slashing at the oviraptor. She connected with the mother dinosaurs shoulder. Blood spattered onto the Raptors face. The oviraptor grunted, and lunged forward. The Dromaeosaur had turned around to reassess the situation, and now payed the price.
The oviraptor bit down on her back, her sharp beak penetrating the flesh and slapping vertabrate. The Unenlagia squealed in agony and collapsed to the ground. The oviraptor released her grip.
The Dromaeosaur twitched on the ground, blood beginning to pool around her body. Her eyes were still alive, they gave a look of fiery hatred to the mother dinosaur.
Indifferent, the oviraptor bent down swiftly and snapped the Unenlagias neck. She then picked the little dinosaur up by the neck, and began the trek home.
Winner...Oviraptor!
With a brood of babies waiting back home, the Oviraptor couldn't afford to loose this one.

Keep in mind that many people have died for their beliefs; it's actually quite common. The real courage is in living and suffering for what you believe in. -Brom-
