The Armoury
It was several months after the storm hit Isla Nublar. Terrance and Muldoon were walking towards the visitor centre. Muldoon had remembered something that he left behind in one of the nearby bunkers. They got to the place Muldoon wanted to be, and Muldoon pointed to where he wanted Terrance to set him down.
Muldoon unlocked the door and went inside. The first thing he saw was that it was dark inside, and without even thinking, flipped on a light. The light turned on, and. Muldoon looked up in surprise. "Haha, looks like the Sattler girl succeeded. I wonder if everyone else escaped? They got the power on, it's entirely possible. I wonder if they even know what happened to me. That doesn't matter now, and knowing what John kept secret from me, I don't feel so bad about my own secret."
Muldoon walked to the end of the hallway, and when he got there, went down a flight of stairs. After the stairs, there was a a series of doors, and in the last room, it looked like a dead end. Muldoon walked over to a spot where there was a loose section of wallpaper. He pulled it off, and behind it was a door. He unlocked the door, and turned on another light.
"Perfect, everything is here. What should I take? I've got a shotgun, and I've got an assault rifle. I don't have a sniper though, I'll take that, and maybe one other thing." Muldoon opened a large steel case, and enough weapons to take over a small country where hanging in front of him. Muldoon looked at all the weapons, and then grabbed a black case that was labelled "Barrett" in a corner. He picked it up and brought it to a table in the middle of the room.
Muldoon opened the case, and pulled out the gun inside. "Just as I remember it. My Barrett M82A1, Anti-Material sniper rifle. The Anti-Material part got my attention. If it's good for vehicles at over a mile, I figured it would be good for dinosaurs at half a mile. I didn't bother with getting a scope for it, that would just slow me down, so I opted to the iron sights. I did test it out with a scope before getting a refund though. This thing sure as hell was accurate, and the ranges I use this thing at wouldn't require a scope anyway."
Muldoon put the Barrett back in the case, along with over five hundred rounds of ammunition, and then made his way back to Terrance. Terrance was sleeping when Muldoon got back outside, and he decided to let Terrance sleep.

MemberCompsognathusMar-21-2014 5:27 AMGood chapter. I don't know a lot about guns, but I'm going to guess that the Barrett M82A1 is a fairly good sniper.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexMar-21-2014 3:00 PMThanks guys, and I'd love that room too.
UCMP, the Barrett M82A1 Anti-Material Sniper Rifle is an amazing sniper rifle. It is 10 round semiautomatic, accurate at over a mile, and low recoiled considering what it is due to the fact that the barrel moves back and springs in the stock. It does have flip up iron sights available, but scopes are usually preferred. The Anti Material part means it was originally meant for use on vehicles and other metal objects, not PEOPLE. It will rip a hole in an engine block at a mile.

MemberCompsognathusMar-21-2014 10:36 PMThe Barret is a 50. cal sniper with incredible power. But bolt actions are more accurate, then again, Muldoon is living in hell with massive beasts, so getting another couple rounds off quicker might be crucial.
Youre fat, and I'm not sugarcoating it cause you'd probably eat that too.

MemberCompsognathusMar-21-2014 10:54 PMNow, I like Muldoon a lot, but nobody ever talks any about Roland Tembo, the Rex hunter from JP 2: Lost World. He had some cool jeeps.
If took a shotgun to Isla Sorna or Nublar, I'd take a 4 gauge shotgun (though it'd probably turn my shoulder to dust).
I love his custom Searcy Double Barrel Rifle chambered in .600 Nitro Express, Elephant Gun, and LAR Grizzly Big-Bore tranquilizer rifle.

MemberCompsognathusMar-22-2014 4:45 AMI see, sounds pretty cool. I do agree that Roland Tembo is underrated, perhaps it's just that Muldoon was in the first movie (which everbody liked) and Tembo was in the third movie (not so much).

MemberTyrannosaurus RexMar-22-2014 4:51 AMWe talk about Tembo sometimes. Tembo is pretty cool, as were the some of the vehicles used in TLW.
As for the accuracy of the Barrett M82A1 vs a bolt action, that's a myth invented Call of Duty. Accuracy is in the barrel, the bullet, the trigger, and the shooter. You could have an inexperienced shooter using a .50 BMG bolt action (let's say the McMillan Tac 50), and a semi experienced guy using the M82A1. The semi experienced guy beats the inexperienced guy most of the time (there is the odd time the inexperienced guy is lucky or has natural talent).
Where bolt action beats semi is in reliability. Bolt action is easier to maintain because there is no gas system to cycle the next round. There are less moving parts with a bolt action, and the bolt action is less likely to jam. Most semis are picky for what ammo you use in them, but a bolt action will take a quality round just as well as they take a crap round.
Back to the concern about ammo affecting accuracy, I can say for a fact, that this is true. With my .22, I had a 3-9x40 scope on it, and at 50 yards, I was getting dime sized groups with that scope using CCI 36 grain hollowpoints. Right now, I have a 6-24x42 scope, and at 30-40 yards, I am getting groups that I can't cover with the palm of my hand. I know what I'm capable of, I know what the gun is capable of, so the only thing screwing it over is the ammo. I even have a bipod on my .22 now that I didn't have when I had the 3-9 scope.

MemberCompsognathusMar-22-2014 4:54 AMI just went full retard.
But still, the first movie had a bigger fan base than the second movie as well. So my argument is still valid.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexMar-22-2014 5:01 AMDammit, forgot to say the bullet that's f*cking over my accuracy. Those crap round are Winchster Dynapoint GT 40 grain hollowpoints.

MemberCompsognathusMar-22-2014 11:53 PMI didn't hear the semi vs bolt action from call of duty, I heard it on a sniping show on History channel.
Heck, I don't even have call of duty (though I do play COD Ghosts with my friend, whom is thinking about joining the site). The only gaming stations I have are a fat Ps2 and a Wii.
I like playing Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2 on the ps2, and Cabela's African Adventures 2013 on the Wii.
