Eustreptospondylus oxoniensis
Length: 23 feet (7 meters)
Weight: 1 ton
Era: Late Jurassic
Location: Europe
They are solitary hunters, which hunt other dinosaurs and fish. Due to their unique vertebra they can twist their heads almost in a 90° angle to tear meat from the body of their prey. They usually hunt small Hadrosaurids and Ornithopods. They have long arms with three large claws and their jaws are also quite powerful like most other Megalosaurids.
Majungasaurus crenatissimus
Length: 26 feet (8 meters)
Weight: 1.5 tons
Era: Late Cretaceous
Location: Africa
Majungasaurus are usually solitary hunters. They use their thick skulls and the small horn on top to ram into their prey and then bite it before while it is confused. They have very small arms, but their legs are muscular and stocky. They have recurved teeth to hold on to their prey and their jaws are also fairly powerful, like most other Abelisaurids.
Fight!
An old Eustreptospondylus was wandering around in a forest with many clearings. It could sense the presence of another predator, but it wasn't sure where it is and it had bigger problems at that time. It hasn't eaten anything for almost a month and it's favorite fishing spot was taken over by an Oxalaia.
Close to it, was a male Majungasaurus lying in wait. The female Eustreptospondylus suddenly stopped and reared up to sniff the air. Then the Majungasaurus striked, he charged into the old female and they got into a shoving match. Both dinosaurs were trying to win the upper hand and kicking and slashing at their opponent. Then the Majungasaurus head butted the Eustreptospondylus and roared at it as it fell to the ground. This was her last chance to run away without much of a fight, but her vanity didn't allow her to give up that easily and she had confidence that she would win the fight.
She stood up, stomped and snarled at her opponent. the Majungasaurus didn't expect her to accept his challenge, but he knew that he had the advantage. Then the female rushed at him and jumped to the side in the last moment. With a quick bite to the back she held him in place. The male tried to struggle free, but she had rammed her claws deep into his back. Then he slightly jumped up and kicked her chest.
She stumbled away and fell to her side from the forceful kick. Then the Majungasaurus charged into her leg. She screamed and roared as the male's horn scraped her leg bone, but she reacted quickly and kicked him away with her other leg. The male took a few steps back. The female regained her footing and stared at the Abelisaur intently whilst breathing heavily.
She ran at the Majungasaurus again, but this time she stopped before hitting him and lashed out with her arm. The Majungasaurus roared in pain. He had three large claw marks running across his snout and was bleeding heavily. Then the Magalosaur tackled him and slashed the Majungasaurs' side with his other arm.
The male took a few steps back and grinded his teeth in anger and pain. The Eustreptospondylus felt accomplished, but while he was distracted the Majungasaurus charged at him. He smashed his entire body against the smaller Eustreptospondylus and she fell to the ground. The he proceeded to head butt her chest.
The Eustreptospondylus spit out some blood and grunted. Then the Majungasaurus bit down on her neck, but she kicked him away. Not for long, but long enough for her to regain her footing. Then she rushed at the Majungasaurus and tackled him to the ground. Then she stepped on his belly and was about to bite his neck, but the male kicked her away with all of his power. He stood up with one leg and used his other leg to kick her another time. Then he fully regained his footing.
They both took a few steps back and glared at each other with murderous intent. Then the Majungasaurus roared and charged at the Eustreptospondylus. With a forceful head butt he smashed the Eustreptospondylus to the ground and then he bit down on the Eustreptospondylus' neck as strong as he could. A loud crunch was able to be heard for tens of feet and the Majungasaurus released the Eustreptospondylus from his deadly grip.
Winner: Majungasaurus crenatissimus

MemberCompsognathusMar-18-2014 6:52 AMThat was why I let the Majungasaurus win.
