MemberTyrannosaurus RexMar-14-2014 9:12 PMAs most of us know, Rex vs Spino is dead. At least, we say it's dead. We say it's deader than the dinosaurs, but apparently, Rex vs Spino keeps coming back as a zombie. No matter how brief it is, someone always gets ticked off when all is said and done. It doesn't matter how hard we try, but someone starts a Rex vs Spino, and then everyone jumps on the bandwagon. It's high time we say screw the bandwagon and do something about it. Starting now, I will lock every Rex vs Spino thread started. Call it drastic measures, but I think it's for the better.
I've got Rex vs Spino in DD9097LS, and I might not post it. I think it's as good a fight as any of the other battles in the series, but it raises so much controversy that I may edit it some to have Spino fight something else (all doing that will do is change who Spino is eliminated by). I don't want to, but I will if that's what has to be done.
Grin and bear it. When that doesn't work, grin and crush it.

MemberAllosaurusMar-14-2014 9:52 PMIf you did this because of my post on my Scified site, I did that because I really wanted to give m opinion onn Spinosaurus with out causing havoc. That's why I posted that pn my own site, where the JW forum would not go crazy. And you're kind of giving rebirth to it by posting it for it to stop.

MemberCompsognathusMar-14-2014 10:49 PMI think that is over doing it, if someone says something inappropriate, than block them from the discussion. There's no need to block everyone, there are rarional people out there like you, Raptor401, RexFan684, me (I consider myself mellow), Carnosaur, and a whole bunch of other people. If things get way out of control, then have at it, block that discussion, but I don't see why you should block every fight between the two beasts.
I personnally don't see why some people have so much tunnel vision with these things, both animals are magnifficent works of creation.
I just think blocking all the topics about rex vs spino is the best way. All the people like s-rex and fact dude should be banned from them. Or maybe I should just make one topic where all the haters can gather together and talk amongst themselves in their hate and cuss word-filled posts...what should we call this topic?
Youre fat, and I'm not sugarcoating it cause you'd probably eat that too.

MemberCompsognathusMar-14-2014 11:19 PMIf only it was that easy Jezza.
I think this is, kidna overdoing it. We don't need to block everything, just the Biased articles that will kick up sh!t.
Mr.happy is remembering the wars, (S vs R wars that is) Huge debate. only three Online Members are survivors of it (I tell ya, it was horrible.) To avoid things like that you have to sometimes use drastic measures.
If the community is kept at a clean rate where people will accept things like rex beating spino, or spino beating rex, Their should be no Problem...
Also, in answer to your question Jezza... I think it'd be someones scified site (Keep JW clean) , Called "Haters only"

Co-AdminMemberCompsognathusMar-14-2014 11:31 PMThe Spino vs Rex topic has been talked to death, but keep in mind Mr Happy that our members have every right to say their opinion on their own sites.

AdminIndoraptorMar-14-2014 11:31 PMMembers are more than welcome to post whatever they want on their own personal Scified Site as long as it remains within our code of conduct. Posting a Rex vs. Spinosaurus topic on a personal Scified Site is totally fine.
It's the forum discussions about said topic which has been discussed to exhaustion. The debate will always be one that fans feel the need to address, but what Mr. Happy and the rest of our moderating team ask is that members continue the discussion in the original topic for it, not create new topics or continue the debate on existing topics which weren't about that particular discussion. That's all.

MemberCompsognathusMar-14-2014 11:55 PMi agree closing every one that is opened is unessesary, and you know as well as i do every time we get a new member this is gonna be dug up. I see no point in attempting to cut it off at the head...when they just keep growing back..

MemberAllosaurusMar-15-2014 12:12 AMYah, from now on i will post all my Spino stuff on my site, like I did. Addressing a problem is just going to make it worse. The best solution?
IGNORING IT.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexMar-15-2014 6:16 AMI was just throwing an idea out there. I'm just saying, there are already too many Rex vs Spino's to count, and a few of them are stickied, so why start a new one when you dig up an old one that probably has the same and more ideas than what you planned? We do find the new post eventually (I find myself checking a few of them daily when I have nothing to do).

MemberCompsognathusMar-15-2014 8:46 AMI agree with you. Everyone including myself always start a fight about the topic and then something this little turns into a huge argument. I think we've had our share of Rex vs spino fights and its enough. I just hope theirs not amother major fight like this in Jurassic World.
The giant gate that read Jurassic Park was ruined. The gates where torn off and their where pieces of them all over the ground. Muldoon saw herbivore foot prints maybe Parasaurs or the Trike herd W

MemberCompsognathusMar-15-2014 9:05 AMI think that there will be another war, probably once the first trailer is out. Because then a lot of people are going to join the forum, which automatically means more posts, which means a higher chance for a controversial post which would create a debate.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexMar-15-2014 9:17 AMAnd then a war after the movie as well if Rex comes back and Spino isn't mentioned and people will be like "Hey, why wasn't Spinosaurus in there? Spinosaurus is way better than T-Rex. Haven't you morons watched Jurassic Park 3 and Monsters Resurected? Spinosaurus is a killing machine......." and the list of BS goes on and on and on.

MemberCompsognathusMar-15-2014 12:25 PMThe thing is MrHappy, no matter who you have Spino go against, someone's gonna be ticked if he loses. The only way to please the Spino Fanboys is to have it win the entire thing. Something tells me you wouldn't want that. Have your lineup as is and they can deal with it if they don't like it.
Lord Vader
MemberTyrannosaurus RexMar-15-2014 12:33 PMNever though of that. The only thing worse than Spino being eliminated by Rex is Spino being eliminated by a smaller Tyrannosaur. Even if Spino did get past round 1, he's screwed in round 2 with theropods like Giganotosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus being in the series.
Even if Spino did win, it would have to be by a landslide, otherwise it's just making Spino look like a wimp and it got lucky.

MemberCompsognathusMar-15-2014 12:40 PMExactly. Some even think our calling him The Pharoah was just to shut them up. Rarely are they ever pleased. I had a fight between Spino and Aegyptosaurus a while ago and he won. Guess what! People were still complaining. Like I said, do what you want and make them deal with it.
Lord Vader
MemberTyrannosaurus RexMar-15-2014 12:45 PMLet's face it, we've dealt with their bullshit long enough. It's been said before and it will be said again, but we always try to avoid the situation and try to avoid offending them, but once we do, it's no holds barred and they say whatever the f*ck they want.
