Cryolophosaurus vs. Eoabelisaurus

Cryolophosaurus Ellioti

Length: 8 meters (26 feet)
Weight: 1 ton
Era: Early-Mid Jurassic
Location: Antarctica

The males have a very bright blue crest on their forehead and orange feathers while the females have smaller grey crest and their feathers are a dull brown. Cryolophosaurs prefer the northern part of the island because it's the only part in which they are not constantly over heating. They have muscular legs and can jump fairly high. They hunt small Ornithopods like Leallynasaura and Lesothosaurus.

Eoabelisaurus Mefi

Length: 6.5 meters (21 feet)
Weight: 1 ton
Era: Middle Jurassic
Location: South America

They are scavengers most of the time, but when they have to hunt they like to head butt the prey first to either knock it out or leave it confused long enough for them to kill it before it regains consciousness. They are not very fast and prefer small Hadrosaurs and Iguanadonts. Their arms are next to useless, but their jaws are actually quite strong like most Abelisaurids' jaws.

Fight!

A female Cryolophosaurus is in search of a new territory. She is walking along one of the many rivers on Isla Pelea. She wants her new territory to be as close to a river as possible but so far she's only had bad luck. She was almost eaten by an angry Mapusaurus and she was ambushed by a pack of five Velociraptors. She somehow managed to get away from both without getting hurt.

She looks back at the territory in which she was until now and shivers thinking about the Mapusaurus. Then she starts following the river again. After a while she finally finds a suitable area. It's right next to the river and there's a small forest which is perfect for ambushing prey. She sniffs the air and can sense another predator. She is determined to fight for this territory and follows the scent.

She gets to a clearing and hides in a bush next to it. She can see a female Eoabelisaurus eating a sub-adult Tenontosaurus. She comes out of the bush and roars at the Eoabelisaurus. The female Eoabelisaurus looks up from the corpse and roars back at the Cryolophosaurus. They both take a few steps back and look each other in the eyes.

The Eoabelisaurus makes the first move by charging at the Cryolophosaurus. She can avoid the charge, but the Eobelisaurus reacts quickly and smacks the Cryolophosaurus with her tail. The Cryolophosaurus snarls and grunts but she isn't seriously injured.

The Eoabelisaurus follows up with a kick to the chest. The Cryolophosaurus falls down and releases a mix between a hiss and and a scream. The Eoabelisaurus stomps her chest again and the Cryolophosaurus screeches at her again. Then the Cryolophosaurus places her foot on the Eoabelisaurus' head before she can stomp her again.

She isn't powerful enough to kick the Eoabelisaurus away from her but she is keeping the Eoabelisaurus out of range. The Eoabelisaurus quickly comes up with a plan and backs away, making the Cryolophosaurus drop her foot, and then jumps back at her as fast as she can. She head butts the Cryolophosaurus in the chest and breaks some ribs.

But before she can proceed to bite her neck, the Cryolophosaurus bites her snout and keeps her away while standing up. The Eoabelisaurus struggles free and shoulder checks the Cryolophosaurus, but she wasn't fast enough to cause serious damage. They both back away once again to catch their breath.

This time the Cryolophosaurus makes the first move by mock charging at the Eoabelisaurus. The Eoabelisaurus has enough experience to ignore the charge and waits for a chance to attack again. The Cryolophosaurus tries something else. She mock charges at the Eoabelisaurus again and then jumps to the side. After that she leaps on the Eoabelisaurus. She can't hold her up and they both crash down.

The Eoabelisaurus takes the brunt of it and has many broken bones, she's also bleeding heavily. In her last moments she looks at a hollow tree stump behind the Cryolophosaurus and whimpers at it. The Cryolophosaurus stops before killing the Eoabelisaurus and turns around to look at the tree stump. In it are three almost starving baby Eoabelisaurs. The Cryolophosaurus looks at the adult female Eoabelisaurus again and then walks away. She can find another territory.

Winner: Cryolophosaurus Ellioti

Good fight, I was rooting for Cryo, and nice way to end the fight.

I agree. I like how merciful the Cryo was, maybe that'll play a part later on in a different fight. :)

Great fight and great ending.

Like everyone else, I really liked the ending. Well done.
