That's how video games work, they stimulate your brain by making you achieve something that doesn't have any actual value, but your brain still thinks that you achieved something important and will make you feel good, of course something like graduating or getting a job would give you a stronger sense of accomplishment. I hope that I made it understandable, i'm not very good with explanations.
