Daspletosaurus
Begin!
A Daspletosaurus is hunting. His mate is looking after their chicks that hatched a month earlier. He wanted something quick and easy to kill, or a carcass. He came across a carcass and heard a growl.
A Gorgosaurus is eating. She is eating with her own young while her mate was hunting. She sensed something, and growled at her young. They hid in a crack in the nearby rock, and the female stepped back, watching.
The Daspletosaurus stepped into the clearing, and was about to grab the carcass and leave when he noticed the Gorgosaurus. She was growling at him, and he recognized her. She recognized him and remembered the cave. There had been a huge storm, and many carnivores went to it for shelter. She didn't remember all the carnivores, but she knew there lots.
The Daspletosaurus growled at her, wanting the carcass. The Gorgosaurus roared back, and he looked at her, confused. He knew he was larger, and he figured that he could just walk in, grab the carcass and leave. The Gorgosaurus wasn't going to let him just walk away without a fight. The Daspletosaurus grabbed the carcass and turned to leave.
The Gorgosaurus stepped in front of him, and he dropped the carcass. She jumped at him, and he stepped back into the clearing. He roared at her, and she roared back. The Daspletosaurus didn't know why she was being so aggressive, but he decided to attack.
He charged, narrowly missing her neck when he bit. She looked at him again, and he flashed his teeth. She flashed her teeth back and charged. She bit his neck and started pushing him. He was surprised by the Gorgosaurus's strength, and the Gorgosaurus was surprised she was actually doing something to him. She let go and growled, hoping he would get the message.
The Daspletosaurus growled at her and charged. He headbutted her, and she fell, landing a few feet away from the rock. The Daspletosaurus went to bite her neck, and when his teeth started to sink in, she gave a low whimper. She was looking in the crack, and the Daspletosaurus let go to see why. He looked in the crack and saw the hatchlings, and the Gorgosaurus stood up while he was distracted.
The Daspletosaurus looked at the ground where the Gorgosaurus was, but she wasn't there anymore. When he saw her, she had her teeth showing, she was growling, and her mouth was open few inches. He looked at her, not knowing what to do, and then she attacked.
The Gorgosaurus ran at the Daspletosaurus and jumped at his side, sending him into a tree. Before he could recover, she was biting and slashing him again. He could feel that he was bleeding heavily, but there wasn't a thing he could do about it. He suddenly had a rush of strength, and he pushed her. She went head first into the rock the hatchlings were hiding near, and she hit the ground hard.
The Daspletosaurus grabbed the carcass and walked away, not wanting to risk the Gorgosaurus waking up before he was out of the area. He got back to his mate, and she knew he was in a tough battle. They ate after their chicks finished, and the whole family went to sleep.
The Gorgosaurus woke up a few hours after the fight. Her mate had come back from a successful hunt, and he was curled up next to her, giving her a sense of comfort, despite the headache she now had.
Winner..... Daspletosaurus
Larger and stronger, the Gorgosaurus's maternal instinct gave him a run for his money.
