DD9097MS Round 2 Fight 5: Suchomimus vs Gorgosaurus
Suchomimus
Gorgosaurus
Begin!
A Gorgosaurus is hunting. She found a mate shortly after her battle with the Torosaurus, and she was waiting to lay her eggs. Her mate was asleep, and she went hunting to surprise him for when he woke up.
A Suchomimus was fishing. He learned from his fight against the Majungasaurus to eat a fish before he caught more, and he liked doing that better. He was being watched, but it wasn't from a hostile stand point.
The Gorgosaurus was watching the Suchomimus, interested in what he was doing. She watched him swipe the water with his hands, and she watched him pull a fish out of the water and start eating it. She decided to try fishing, and walked to the edge of the river. The Suchomimus growled, but she lowered her head, signalling that she didn't want to fight. The Suchomimus resumed fishing, but his interest in the Gorgosaurus distracted him.
He watched as she stared at the water, and with sudden speed, lunged forward and returned with a fish. He didn't know wether to be mad or impressed, but he saw her as competition and roared a challenge. The Gorgosaurus looked up from her meal, confused. The Suchomimus walked up to her, and she growled, trying to scare him off. The Suchomimus continued walking toward her, and she stood up to her full height and roared.
They looked at each other, sizing each other up. The Gorgosaurus saw that the Suchomimus was larger than her, but she thought he was lighter than he appeared. The Suchomimus, having never fought a Tyrannosaur, didn't know what to think of the Gorgosaurus.
The Gorgosaurus was mad that she was challenged and only wanted to get the Suchomimus to leave her alone, and the Suchomimus wanted her out of his fishing grounds. They walked in circles, not breaking eye contact. The Gorgosaurus attacked first, pushing the Suchomimus back a few feet. The Suchomimus pushed back and sent the Gorgosaurus stumbling back. The Gorgosaurus looked at the Suchomimus, mad at him for pushing her.
They ran at each other, and the Gorgosaurus knew it was a game of chicken that she would lose. She sidestepped before they collided, and the Suchomimus reached out with his arm and slashed her side. The Gorgosaurus roared in pain as she turned to face the Suchomimus. The Suchomimus was facing her, and he hissed at her. She growled back, mad that he slashed her side.
They charged again, and the Gorgosaurus jumped out of the way, the Suchomimus reached out again, but the Gorgosaurus ducked and then jumped on his side. The force knocked him down, and the Gorgosaurus stepped back, looking at him. The Suchomimus didn't know what to think, but then something bit his tail.
He turned to face what was biting his tail, and saw a mid sized Dienosuchus. He roared at it, but it was dragging him into the river. The Gorgosaurus thought the Dienosuchus would make a good meal and attacked, stepping on its head and biting its neck. The Suchomimus stood up, and the Gorgosaurus grabbed the Dienosuchus by the tail and started to drag it away when the Suchomimus growled at her.
The Gorgosaurus looked at the Suchomimus, thinking that she should have let the Dienosuchus get him, but he lowered his head. She lowered her head back, and then grabbed the Dienosuchus. She dragged it back to her mate, and he woke up after she fell asleep.
It was close, but saving his life earned the Gorgosaurus respect from the Suchomimus.

Keep in mind that many people have died for their beliefs; it's actually quite common. The real courage is in living and suffering for what you believe in. -Brom-

MemberTyrannosaurus RexFeb-28-2014 5:55 PMThanks guys, and Carnosaur is right. I, for example, believe that Tyrannosaurs have the advantage at all times* at weight parity.

MemberAllosaurusFeb-28-2014 6:07 PMI think Spino was more powerful, but had lots of disadventages, like it's fin. I think if it's spine broke, it would have died.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexFeb-28-2014 6:10 PMIt's a good thing Spino wasn't in this fight then, eh?
