Suchomimus Tenerensis
Length: 36 feet (11 meters)
Weight: 3.5 tons
Era: Early Cretaceous
Location: Africa
Suchomimus are often seen fishing by the river in large groups. They seem peaceful, but if another predator shows up they immediately go after him, often ripping them apart to the point where nothing can identify what it once was. During droughts they are forced to either hunt or scavenge, most prefer to simply scare away smaller predators with their superior size and others are excellent hunters on land as well.
Gorgosaurus Libratus
Length: 30 feet (9 meters)
Weight: 3 tons
Era: Late Cretaceous
Location: North America
Gorgosaurs usually hunt in pairs or family groups. They are slightly less robust than their close relative, Daspletosaurus. They are more specialized towards hunting fast animals like Hadrosaurs and Ornithomimids and their slower, but bulkier relatives hunt the Ankylosaurs and Ceratopsians on Isla Pelea . They are fierce and reckless when protecting their territory, there have been reports of a family of Gorgosaurs which attacked and killed a Giganotosaurus when it tried to take over their territory.
Fight!
A young male Gorgosaurus has recently left his parents turf to search for a territory of his own. He starts getting hungry, but he is too tired to chase after something so he looks for a decent place in which he can ambush his prey without using too much energy.
He comes across a river and takes a small break from the hot sunlight. After the bath he continues his journey. Soon after he finally finds a suitable place and just in time.
Mere minutes after he hides in the shrubbery a large herd of Corythosaurus wanders by. The young Gorgosaurus charges into an old bull, killing it instantly because it was already weakened by it's many wounds from previous fights. The rest of the herd scatters, but the Gorgosaurus doesn't care, he now has food which will last for at least one week, a river nearby and many great hunting opportunities, it couldn't get any better.
As he is feasting on the Corythosaurus he fails to notice that something large has sensed the delicious smell of fresh meat. Suddenly, before he can even react, a large female Suchomimus rushes into him, grabs the dead Corythosaurus and tries to carry it away, the Gorgosaurus realises quickly, what's going on and rams the female. She drops the dead hadrosaur and turns around just in time to avoid a second charge. The Gorgosaurus roars at the larger Suchomimus, not willing to give up it's food that easily. She roars in return, signaling that she is ready to kill him, if need be.
They start circling each other, waiting for an opportunity to strike. The Suchomimus has a lot of patience since she has experience in fishing and she has overall more experience than the young Gorgosaurus. He is sick and tired of waiting so he tries to charge into her again and then bite her thin and unprotected throat. The Suchomimus, already expecting it, side steps and thrusts her long claws into the chest of her unexperienced opponent, leaving deep gashes.
The Gorgosaurus roars in pain, which is quickly exchanged for blind rage, he falls into a frenzy. He rams into her once again, knocking her to the gound, and bites her back, luckily she manages to kick him away before he can damage the spinal cord and other vital parts. But the Gorgosaurus is so fixated at killing his opponent that he doesn't even feel the large wound her kick dealt to him and rushes at her again, determined to kill her this time. She swipes at his face, leaving a huge scar behind and removing one of his eyes.
The Gorgosaurus releases a painful squeal and shakes it's head around to get rid of the blood. He can finally see his opponent again, but it's already too late. The female Suchomimus charges at him and punctures his throat with her large claws.
The Gorgosaurus screams in pain and knows that he is going to die soon. The Suchomimus rakes her claws on the chest of the Gorgosaurus and starts eating him.
Winner: Suchomimus Tenerensis
The Suchomimus had more experience and a hand-full of luck, just enough to survive.

MemberCompsognathusFeb-23-2014 9:12 AMI personally think that a Gorgosaurus would win more often than not, but in this case he had everything playing against him. I hope that we're going to see the other possible ending for this fight.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexFeb-23-2014 9:19 AMI know the answer to that one, and it's a good fight. No fatalities in it BTW.

MemberCompsognathusFeb-23-2014 9:22 AMFatality? As in, an unrealistic way to end a fight, like decapitating your opponent for example?

MemberTyrannosaurus RexFeb-23-2014 9:23 AMNot like that. No fatality as in neither of them die.
