PREDATORY- Chapter 1: Dinosaurs are back

Hey guys, so while Im working on many fights, a story about Terrance for Mr.Happy, and something BIG (top secret) that for now is called Project X, I figured Id post a chapter from a story I wrote a while back to keep you entertained for a while, while Im working on everything. It is called PREDATORY, hope you enjoy!

The beast stared down at me, baring over 60 giant fangs. The animal was over 20 feet tall! Its great jaws creaked open suddenly and it lunged, the great head diving toward my body.
    Ok, maybe I should start from the beginning. My name is Drake Nile and my story starts with a photo. One, single, picture. Strange pictures had been popping up in Africa and The Amazon. Photos that couldn’t be made out, as they were blurry. They were something though. Something animalistic but not quite animals. And every person who took these photos either mysteriously disappeared or wouldn’t speak of what they saw. Sometimes the cameras would just be recovered, or sent in a text. Theories on what was going on ranged from a new animal that came out of hiding, and a new behavior of animals, to Aliens. Then that one photo resurfaced. It showed an extremely large animal, old and grizzled. It was amazingly powerful looking, battle scars decorating its hide like war medals. Although old and experienced, its eyes were alert and intelligent, with slit pupils, its eyes fierce. The eyes of a predator. This picture was sent in a text with one word attached, HELP.

The photo was run through many forensics and tests, and couldn’t be proven to be a hoax. The man who took the photo couldn’t be found. However, the family and police managed to track the text to an area of the Amazon and the man’s family left to see if they could find him. All they found was an arm. Not torn of at the joint, like an average animal attack, but the bone snapped in half as if something had ripped right through it. Then there was the picture. A call to action was put forward to find what animal it was. Scientists all over the world examined it until one paleontologist took one look at it and immediately turned ghostly white. He recognized it like no other. It was a Tyrannosaurus rex. Dinosaurs were back.
