Isla Sorna: The Next Generation: Chapter Four-Hunters and Hunted

Wildflower and Scar are walking through the forest with their hatchlings. They're about one year old now, and they need to learn how to hunt. Soon, they find a small group of Parasaurolophus. Scar demonstrates; he sneaks up on one and quickly bites it in the neck. He quietly brings the carcass to the family and they eat.

     After their meal, it's the kids turn to try. Smokey and Amber work together. Amber lunges onto one and slashes it. Smokey finishes it off. Then, they eat more. Berry seems to be more independent, and tackles and bites a juvinile. Soon, a large creature approaches. It's a Tyrannosaurus! It's momentarily unseen and sneaks up of Berry. Claw warns her, and gets the attention of the Tyrannosaurus. The dinosaur picks it up with his jaws. Scar roars and faces an his old rival. He drops Claw and goes after Scar. He slashes the Tyrannosaurus in the face with his claws, which disorients the carnivore. Scar uses this moment to bite the Tyrannosaurus in the neck. It shakes free, hurting Scar's bottom jaw and knocking out a few of his teeth. He roars at the Tyrannosaurus, but it bites him in the neck. Scar make it out of the way at the last second, and the Tyrannosaurus just grazes the side of his neck. The dinosaur turns prepares another neck bite.

     It bites down, but on Scar's tail. He roars in pain and tries to wriggle free. It doesn't work, but he has one more option. He turns and bites the Tyrannosaurus in the neck again, but harder. The rex's bite becomes weaker, and Scar slashes the dinosaur in the shoulder. It realeses the Spinosaurus' tail, and Scar slashes the rex in the face again. Then, he uses his arms and weight and pushes the Tyrannosaurus down. He finishes it off with a stomp on the head. He roars in victory, scaring off any other carnivores. The family, including Claw, who wasn't wounded much, walk back to the nest, now knowing how to hunt.
