Here we go..
The crippling drought had settled on Isla Nublar for three weeks now. On top of that, the recent bird flu epidemic had wiped out a large number of Species. The combination of the two had sent the remaining species to the interior of the island in search of water. Confrontation was around every corner. Th Spinosaurs are having the most trouble, as their main revenue of food was quickly evaporating. This forced them into direct competition with the other large bodied predators.
The sun slowly creeps into the morning sky, creating a dazzling sunset of gold, purple, and orange. The brightness of the morning sun shines on the crocodilian head of a young bull Oxalaia. He opens an eye, and decides it's time to get up. He gets to his feet and surveys his hunting spot. It was reduced to nothing more then sun baked earth. He stood and watched intently for any sign of movement. He spotted a small make shift cavern in the bank of his river. It was worth checking out. He walked over to it and shoved his snout into it, sniffing around. He pinpointed a small crocodile, entombed in a mud cocoon. He grabbed it and pulled his head out. He slams it onto the hard packed mud, and tears it open. Water spews from the cocoon. The pleasant suprise of two vital resources all wrapped into one.
What the young Spinosaur failed to realize is he was being watched. A female Suchomimus had watched the entire thing unfold. She was growing desperatly dehydrated and hungry.Throwing caution to the wind, she walked towards the larger Spinosaur. She let out a high pitched squeal, that echoed in the empty sky. The Oxalaia stood at attention, and watched the Suchomimus boldy challenge him. She dove for the carcass; the Oxalaia swung his arm, and connected. The Suchomimus backed up and squealed again. Blood was flowing down her neck, and breathing was becoming difficult. She abandoned the attempt, and walked back the way she came. The Oxalaia resumed his feast.
The Suchomimus was having a difficult time breathing. The talons of the Oxalaia had done serious damage. She walked backk into her territory and lay beside an old rotting log. The small confrontation had winded her. But before she could get some shut eye, she felt the ground beneath her shake. Quite frightened, she got up, and when she did....stared a snarling Giganotosaurus in the eye. The scared Suchomimus stumbled back, and turned to run. The Giganotosaurus lunged down and bit down on her muscle ridge. He shook his head violently, and threw the spinosaur ten feet. Her eyesight was fading as she saw the Giganotosaurus approaching. Then, it all went black. The Giganotosaurus bent down and sniffed the Spinosaur. It was dead. Satisfied, he moved on.
Nearby, a small pack of Velociraptor was on the prowl. They had been hanging around a small estuary, knowing it would attract herbivores from all around. They weren't dehydrated, but they were Starving. They hadn't eaten anything for nearly two weeks. The small pack squatted behind some bushes, and saw a Stegosaurus lumbering towards the water. The alpha male tapped his sickle claw on the ground in anticipation. One young animal haphazardly rushed forward, ruining the ambush. A bit irritated, the other three followed. They fanned out around the Stegosaur, who was now in defense mode. A small pack member ran in and slashed the Stegosaurus' front leg. Another jumped from behind, but was swatted out of the air. It crashed into a nearby rockface, and slumped to the ground. The alpha raptor jumped onto the Stegosaurus' side. He tore and slashed, creating hideous wounds. The bold youngster that started the attack kicked at the Stegosaurs head, and the Stegosaurus reared up. The raptor failed to register the move, and was crushed as the animal landed. The two remaining raptors broke off the attack, and ran back to their ambush spot. The stegosaurus walked to the estuary, with a slight limp. That's when the Yanchuanosaurus burst through the trees. It ran with suprising speed, and bit down on the Stegosaurs head. A sickening crack erupted in the clearing. The Stegosaurus fell dead, and the Allosaur began to feed. Not wanting another fight, the Raptors moved on.
The Yanchuanosaurus gourged himself. He ate as fast as he could, to avoid loosing his kill. Sadly for him, A male Carcharodontosaurus had seen the entire thing. He had been stalking the Allosaur, and now saw he could have two means instead of just the one. The bull Carcharodontosaur rushed from the trees, splashing in the small Estuary. The Allosaur saw him advance, and roared a challenge. He was met with a sharp headbutt to the chest. The Yangchuanosaurus was now on his back, as the Carcharodontosaurus lunged for his throat. The Allosaur kicked and scratched at the Carcharodontosaur, but it was no use. The Carcharodontosaurus grabbed the front of the Allosaurs neck, and tore his throat out. The Yangchuanosaurus had caused some gnarly wounds on the Carcharodontosaurus' snout, but he would be fine. He settled down for a huge feast.
The Giganotosaurus had stumbled onto the Salt flats. The skeletons of Hadrosaurs and Ornithopods littered the area. The bull Carcharodontosaurus had come to the area for one reason, he smelt Sauropod blood. He didn't have to walk far, as he came across a pair of Shunosaurus walking in the opposite direction. One had a hideous looking wound on its neck. With laser focus, the Giganotosaurus ran at it. The squishing sound of the sand alerted the Sauropods. They tried to run, but found it useless. They turned their sides on the Giganotosaurus, prepared to defend themselves. Hunger outweighed caution, as the Giganotosaurus rushed forward. He was met with the bony tail club of the injured Shunosaurus. He felt his ribs crack under the blow, grunting in pain. He stepped back, and looked at the injured Shunosaurus. He set a simple plan in motion. He leapt onto the small Sauropod, and went to town. The injured sauropod collapsed. The Carcharodontosaur bit down on its neck, and killed it. The surviving Shunosaurus started to run.
The young Oxalaia was now on the search for a new water source. It had been several hours since he ate the crocodile, and he was once again thirsty and hungry. The mid day sun was beating relentlessly. After half an hour, he came across an Eotriceratops. Not his normal prey, but it looked weakened. The Ceratopsian was rooting around, paying no attention to the Spinosaur. The young Oxalaia spotted a small rocky outcrop, and now squatted down behind it. He waited for it to turn its back. As it turned to eat s small root of some sort, he made his advance. The Eotriceratops heard the Spinosaur approaching, and swung around wildly. Its brow horn sliced open the Oxalaias arm. He howled in agony, and grabbed the Ceratopsians frill. He bit down on the frill, and the Ceratopsian swung his head up. He connected with the Spinosaurs lower jaw. The Oxalaia backed up, and walked away from the Ceratopsian. It just wasn't worth it. Before the Ceratopsian could go back to what he was doing, the two Raptors had attacked. They too had thought it would be an easy kill. The lead raptorsprang onto the Ceratopsians back, slashing at its tough hide. Th other was taunting the Eotriceratops, running back and forth. The Ceratopsian bucked, and the lead raptor fell. The remaining raptor turned to check on him, and was gored. The Eotriceratops threw the Raptor down, and in the process, crushed the alpha raptor. The bull Ceratopsian went back to his rooting.
A large female Tarbosaurus had smelt blood drawn in every direction. She was terribly hungry. She walked towards the nearest smell, a Spinosaur. Her memory was fraught with terrible memories of Spinosaurs. She didn't know what it was, but she wanted to kill it.
The Giganotosaurus had his fill, and walked to some nearby conifer trees to sleep. The Carcharodontosaurus had the same idea, but saw the Giganotosaurus coming towards him. He roared at it, but it kept coming. In a fighting mood, the Giganotosaurus ran forward. The Carcharodontosaurus heard a loud snapping sound. As the bull Giganotosaurus entered the trees, he was crushed under a falling conifer. The old tree had rotted, and finally collapsed. The Giganotosaurus coughed up a bit of blood, before closing his eyes for good. The Carcharodontosaurus, now in a fighting mood, turned and walked around, lookingfor a good opponent.
The remaining Shunosaurus was doing poorly. He had gotten lost in the salt flats, and the death of his sibling had sent him into shock. He walked weakly for a few steps, before collapsing on the scorching sand. He lay there as the blazing sun took his life.
Meanwhile, the Tarbosaurus had pinpointed the Spinosaur. She watched it from behind the large Sequoias. It was injured. She made her move. She rushed head on at the Spinosaur The young Oxalaia turned in time to see the wide open jaws of the angry Tyrannosaur. The female Tarbosaurus bit down on his neck, and swung him around. The two massive theropods engagedin a life or death dance. The Tarbosaurus let the Spinosaur go, sending him reeling. She rushed at him, headbutting him in the side. The Oxalaia fell onto his sail, and broke his back. His life blood seeped onto the Sun baked earth. The Tarbosaurus loathed the Spinosaur too much to eat him. Instead, she saw a Ceratopsian not too far away, and decided to kill it.
A cool breeze had wafted in from the east, this helped cool down the inhabitants. The Tarbosaurus' plan was foiled by this. His was no longer downwind from the Ceratopsian, who now caught her sent. The huge bull Eotriceratops turned on the Tyrannosaur. He swung his head back and forth, turning it an angry red. Shaking her head in frustration, the Tarbosaurus sprang forward. The Eotriceratops ran at the predator, but ran directly past it. The Tarbosaurus had pivoted, and now bit down on the Ceratopsian with four tons of force. She broke the Ceratopsians back, and it fell to the ground. She rolled it over and began to eat.
The Carcharodontosaurus, now fueled by adrenaline, had heard the commotion. It was close. He marched towards the scene, and walked out onto the open plain. He saw the Tyrannosaur, and sized her up. He was larger, this would be easy. Confidently, he strode towards the Tarbosaurus. The female Tyrannosaur jerked her head from the bloody carcass, and stared coldy at the Carcharodontosaurus. She issued a low rumbling growl, a chance for the Carcharodontosaur to leave. It apparently didn't hear it. The fight was on. The Tyrannosaur put one foot onto the carcass and growled. The Carcharodontosaurus howled at the tyrannosaur, and began to circle her. The Tyrannosaur kept her eyes on him, waiting for an attack.
The Screech of a passing Ornithocheirus distracted her for a moment, the Carcharodontosaur took the oppurtunity. He ran forward, and bit down on her snout. She shook him off and shoulder checked him. The Carcharodontosaur grabbed the Tyrannosaur and raked his deadly claws down her sides. She grunted in pain, and stepped back. He advanced again, biting down on her arm. The female Tyrannosaur saw that one coming, and slammed her head down on his. He dizzily hit the ground, and she bit down on the back of his neck.
He wrenched backwards, breaking off the Tarbosaurus' teeth. He stood up, and weighed his options. He was too deep into it to back out. He stpped back, and the Tyrannosaur followed. This is exactly what he wanted. As she stepped forward, he rushed her. She jumped, startled. He rammed into her, sending her over the Eotriceratops carcass. He followed, and bit down on her stomach. She kicked him forcefully, fracturing his snout. He was unrelenting. The Carcharodontosaurus stepped onto the Tyrannosaur, and bit down on her chest. She flailed her arm, and caught him in the eye. He grunted, but kept up his attack. He went for her throat, and slwoly began to suffocate her. She flailed helplessly, but this lessened some after a few minutes. After another minute, he let her neck go. He stood up, and surveyed the carnage of the area. Dead bodies were every where, already starting to rot under the intense sun. The Carcharodontosaurus shook himself violently, and moved back to the trees.
And the winner is...Carcharodontosaurus!

MemberCompsognathusFeb-16-2014 11:59 AMI was rooting for Giganotosaurus, but since Giganotosaurus was basically Carcharodontosaurus 2.0 i'm not dissapointed at all. Very good fight(s). I really like these massive fights.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexFeb-16-2014 4:42 PMIsn't that something because both Spinosaurs in MS are eliminated by Tyrannosaurs in round 2. I hate having to kill off Tyrannosaurs, so I strategically gave them a reason to quit before they get killed.

MemberCompsognathusFeb-16-2014 4:52 PMI originally planned for one of mine to win the fight, but as i wrote it the outcome kinda changed and the other one was just at a too high disadvantage, it would've been unrealistic for him to survive.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexFeb-16-2014 4:59 PMIn one, it was unrealistic for the Spinosaur to win, and the other was evenly matched, but the Tyranno saved the Spino from an external force and gained his respect.
