DD9097MS Round 1 Fight 3: Torosaurus vs Gorgosaurus

Torosaurus

Torosaurus was a twenty two foot long, three ton Ceratopsian from Late Cretaceous North America. It had large horns and one of the largest skulls of any land animal.

Gorgosaurus

Gorgosaurus was a thirty foot long, three ton Tyrannosaur from Late Cretaceous North America. It was standard for a Tyrannosaur, and fast and agile.

A Gorgosaurus is looking for a mate. She has been looking for several days, and came across a lone Torosaurus. She decided to take a break and planned an attack. The Torosaurus had its back turned to her, and she took the chance.

She slowly walked up behind it trying to get close. She was about to rush forward when she stepped on a stick, getting the Torosaurus's attention. The Torosaurus turned around and saw the Gorgosaurus. It roared at her, and she roared back. The Gorgosaurus walked around the Torosaurus, looking for the best angle to attack from.

She walked around the Torosaurus several times before she figured out what she had to do. She saw that she had to find a way to distract it long enough to get underneath the frill and crush its neck. She didn't know how to distract it, until she saw a massive tree. She quickly put her plan to action.

She mock charged the Torosaurus several times with no effect. The Torosaurus saw that she wanted him to charge, but he didn't know why. He mock charged, and the Gorgosaurus didn't move, seeing that he was trying to get her to something stupid. Both knew that the battle was going to be a difficult one, seeing as to how both were experienced.

The Gorgosaurus saw that mock charging wasn't going to work, so she disappeared into the woods. The Torosaurus, thinking that he just won, returned to eating. The Gorgosaurus hadn't gone very far, and she ran at him from behind. She jumped on his back and tried to bite his neck, but she ended up biting his back instead. She slashed and bit until she was shaken loose.

The Torosaurus attacked while the Gorgosaurus was still on the ground, but she got up too fast and she was out of the way when he got to where she was. She saw that she had a chance to get him to hit the tree, and she took it. She stood right in front of the tree and waited for the right moment. The Torosaurus charged again, and the Gorgosaurus avoided the attack again. His horn got stuck in the tree, and the Gorgosaurus took the opportunity.

She bit his neck and slashed his sides. She tried for several minutes before the Torosaurus got free and faced her. She had succeeded in causing heavy bleeding, and the Torosaurus charged again. The Gorgosaurus jumped out of the way several times before the Torosaurus hit her. She roared in pain as she was lifted off the ground and thrown around.

The Torosaurus had narrowly missed her lungs and Jugular, but she could barely move now. She watched the Torosaurus charged again, and the Gorgosaurus closed her eyes, waiting for the final hit. It never came though, and after what felt like a long time, she opened her eyes. He had bled out before he hit her, and she stood up.

She coughed up some blood and then roared in victory. She was eating when something else joined her. She looked at what it was, and saw a male Gorgosaurus. She happily shared her meal and they went to sleep afterward.

Winner...... Gorgosaurus

Same weight, the Gorgosaurus was more agile, and her plan saved her life.
