The "cold crested lizard" is the largest theropods to be unearthed in Antartica to date. This is do to the fact not that many people are crazy enough to go digging around Antartica. Cryolophosaurus was unearthed during the 1990-91 austral summer by William R. Hammer and his team on Mount Kirkpatrick, in a region of the Transanantartic mountains.
At 25 feet long and nine feet tall, Cryolophosaurus was the apex predator of Antartica. It had an unuaual looking crest, which gave it the nick name "Elvis saurus". This is most likely used for display in the mating season to attract mates and intimadate rivals. Cryolophosaurus has hit the mainstream media, being featured in the mini series Dinosaur Revolution.
Being so large, it could easily prey on the prosauropod Glacialisaurus. Not much is known about the habitat Cryolosaurus dominated. The giant dilophosaurid would have been able to eat anything it wanted, granted if it was the largest predator in the area. Antartica is a land that hasn't seen much on the Paleontological front, and there is probably a gigantic theropod waiting to be unearthed.
Nature doesn't deceive us; it is we who deceive ourselves.
