Two months after capturing had begun, most of the dinosaurs on Isla Nublar had been caught, including Thorn. She had walked into her paddock and was exploring it now. She looked for a cavern or spot with overhanging rock first, and eventually found a suitable spot. A chunk of rock was sticking about twenty feet out, and she lied down in the shade in the cool grass. She fell asleep a few minutes later.
When she woke up, she walked around to explore the rest of her territory. She walked toward the lake in the Southwest section, and after a drink, walked along the plexiglass wall. There wasn't as much forest area in this paddock, but there was the spot where she had slept for shelter, so she was happy. She eventually reached the Northwest section and saw John Hammond walking around with General Smith.
"So, General Smith, how did the construction and capturing go?" "Pretty good John, as you can see. Twenty four inch thick, bulletproof plexiglass walls, the dinosaurs are contained, and in the event of a blackout, they will remain contained." "Excellent, I see Rexy is adjusting nicely to her new home." "That's good, she was the easiest to capture. Didn't even have to tranquilize her." "That's good, I can't wait to see what everyone else thinks."
Hammond and Smith continued walking, and Thorn continued walking around the paddock. She had almost done a whole lap when she heard something, and she looked at it. A Spinosaurus was in the paddock next to hers, and she saw it didn't seem to like her. She ignored it and continued walking, knowing that she would be safe to leave in search of new things.

MemberCompsognathusFeb-07-2014 6:08 AMI love this chapter! But I wonder will Spinosaurus play a role?

MemberTyrannosaurus RexFeb-07-2014 6:15 AMI just added it to give an idea on the surroundings more than anything. There is a size comparison coming up in chapter 29 I think involving it.

Keep in mind that many people have died for their beliefs; it's actually quite common. The real courage is in living and suffering for what you believe in. -Brom-
