Primal King
MemberCompsognathusFeb-06-2014 6:21 PMKickin off the first classic with one of two of the most iconic fights in my series. T. rex vs Triceratops! This is in prehistoric utah, and its sort of a back story which I will write later. Basically its formatted like a docu or safari. :)
Tyrannosaurus Rex:
LENGTH: 51 FT
HEIGHT: 21 FT
WEIGHT: 8 TONS
ERA: LATE CRETACEOUS
Tyrannosaurus rex is the deadliest and most powerful animal inhabiting both islands. Capable of taking on Spinosaurs, other predators large or small, and any game it chooses, Tyrannosaurus has some of the most devastating weaponry of any animal. With the approximate intelligence of a wolf, the most powerful jaws of any land animal (and possibly ever), the 2nd best sense of smell, and binocular vision more powerful than a hawk's, T. rex is the perfect predator. Being extremely aggressive and territorial, this ultimate hunter will search out and fight to the death any animal that might be a threat. They are found on both islands in high moderation.
Triceratops:
LENGTH: 36 ft
HEIGHT: 10 ft
WEIGHT: 6 tons
ERA: LATE CRETACEOUS
Triceratops is one of the most powerful herbivores to roam the planet. It had to be, It lived with Tyrannosaurus. New studies on Sorna suggest that it might have fed on corpses every once in a while as well as the more often plants. Triceratops’ horns are capable of gouging and spearing any predator. Triceratops will often become aggressive if its personal space is invaded similar to rhinos, although usually they are docile. Triceratops is found on both islands in extremely high numbers.
FIGHT:
Late Cretaceous period North America:
A herd of Triceratops wanders across a clearing in an overgrown jungle of prehistoric Utah. A large male leads the herd through the fog. The specimen is known as Vifaru (rhino), and has lead the herd for many years. When he was young, he challenged the old patriarch and won after a short head-ramming. Now he is in his prime, older, and ready for any fight. Unknown to him, he is being watched.
A Tyrannosaurus rex growls quietly from the shadows of the jungle. He bares his teeth, ready for a meal. This is an old battle scarred male, a bull. He wears scars like war medals, and walks with presence, as he knows that he is the king of his domain. This alpha male is known as Taji (king). He slowly starts to emerge from the overgrown rainforest.
The Triceratops herd smells a predator, and it is the worst one around. A T. rex. They become nervous, when suddenly a large Tyrannosaurus charges out of the jungle, roaring viciously. The herd stampedes on a panic. They try to escape when the predator manages to grab a young one of the massive elephant sized herbivores. The juvenile squirms in his grasp and yelps out a call for help. The Tyrannosaur pulls the ceratopsian closer and is about to make the killing blow when he feels a heavy impact slam into his leg. He looks down to find Vifaru. The triceratops has slammed his frill into the side of the larger predator. The T. rex roars a challenge. The fight’s on.
The Tyrannosaurus rex surprises the Triceratops and head-butts the prehistoric rhino. The ceratopsian turns and gores the T. rex with the small nasal horn. Taji roars in pain and rage, and flips around, sinking his massive teeth into the back of his adversary. The trike bellows in pain and struggles to escape the ever sinking teeth. He manages to kick the T. rex in the face, releasing the jaws from his back. Vifaru slams the nasal horn into Taji’s chin, breaking teeth and fracturing the end of the jawbone. He roars in pain, both are now pissed off and both are now injured.
Vifaru bellows and charges the T. rex. The predator dodges and kicks the herbivore, flipping it over and leaving deep gashes. Just as Taji runs at his fallen adversary, the trike regains his footing and snaps around just in time. His frill slams into the shoulder-blade of the King of dinosaurs. The T. rex slips and nearly falls, just as Vifaru slams the tip of his horn into Tiju’s tail. He roars and grabs the ceratopsian’s horn. The two massive animals grapple and the T. rex manages to pull the Triceratops closer to him. Tiju bites down, hard. It shears off Vifaru’s horn in one quick snap. The both noisily bellow and roar at eachother.
The Tyrannosaurus runs forward and slams into the herbivore. The herbivore goes reeling and as an act of defiance manages to bite the T. rex’s leg, the sharp beak cutting into the shin. The T. rex roars and reaches down, grabs Vifaru by the hips, and throws him to the side. The stare down at each other in seething hatred, the T. rex drooling. He roars and slams into the Triceratops, the titans clashing. The T. rex reaches around and bites the Triceratops’ neck. Vifaru struggles, and Tiju bites down with all the force he has, angrily crushing the spinal cord, windpipe, and ending the life of the mighty leader of the herd. The T. rex roars into the fog as the herd moves on, sadly now without a leader. Tiju begins to eat a feast fit for a king.

MemberCompsognathusFeb-06-2014 6:38 PMThanks! The full backstory to why I'm formatting the classics series this way will be put up soon. Basically its in a world where either anomalies or time travel devices (Prehistoric park style) have been found/created and opened us up to the prehistoric world. They decide to make docus off of it and I'm the host/narrator. I could do this style for the other fights too if you'd like and if you think it makes my fights seem more unique. :D

MemberCompsognathusFeb-07-2014 5:14 AMGreat Fight, I was obviously rooting for the Rex.
Keep in mind that many people have died for their beliefs; it's actually quite common. The real courage is in living and suffering for what you believe in. -Brom-

MemberCompsognathusFeb-07-2014 10:24 AMThanks UCMP! I figured Rex would have a ^60-40 chance of killing a Trike.

MemberCompsognathusFeb-07-2014 3:02 PMGood fight. I think 36 feet is a ibt of a stretch for Trike, but good job overall.

MemberCompsognathusFeb-09-2014 5:40 PMThanks Rex Fan and I know its a little large, but that is a max size based on a 2011 estimate. Only adult animals in their prime would reach that size though, as with 60 ft T. rex's you know?
