MemberCompsognathusFeb-02-2014 4:16 PMAlright, this is my longest and most vicious fight yet= A battle of the Ages. Pun intended
SHUNOSAURUS:
Length: 38 ft
Height: 16 ft
Weight:4 tons
Era: Late Jurassic
Shunosaurus are very unusual sauropods. They are somewhat a mix between sauropods, stegosaurs, and ankylosaurs. Nothing looks out of the ordinary at first sight, then you get to the tail. Equipped with a tail club, and two sets of spikes jutting out of the sides of it. Shunosaurus is actually one of the most docile animals in Jurassic Park, until it feels threatened, when it undergoes a personality change. If threatened they will not back down and become one of the most aggressive herbivores in Jurassic Park. They will only travel in family groupsa nd not herds. They are found only on Nublar, although they are extremly common there.
TORVOSAURUS:
Length: 40 ft
Height: 14 ft
Weight: 4 tons
Era: Late Jurassic
Torvosaurus is at the top of its own food chain. This megalosaur is the ultimate Jurassic predator. It is a carnivore that all animals fear except for the largest predators such as Spinosaurus and Tyrannosaurus. The Torvosaurus will hunt in any amount of numbers from 1 to 20 and in one extreme case 27. They do not have any coordinated attack plans, they simply mob the animal until it dies from exhaustion and strength in numbers. They are found on both islands in decent numbers and inhabit heavily forested game trails and clearings
And Last But not Least: TYRANNOSAURUS REX
LENGTH: 51 FT
HEIGHT: 21 FT
WEIGHT: 8 TONS
ERA: LATE CRETACEOUS
Tyrannosaurus rex is the deadliest and most powerful animal inhabiting both islands. Capable of taking on Spinosaurs, other predators large or small, and any game it chooses, Tyrannosaurus has some of thr most devasatating weaponry of any animal. With the approximate intelligence of a wolf, the most powerful jaws of any land animal (and possibly ever), the 2nd best sense of smell, and binocular vision more powerful than a hawk's, T. rex is the perfect predator. Being extremely aggressive amd territiorial, this ultimate hunter will search out and fight to the death any animal that might be a threat. They are found on both islands in high moderation.
Fight!
A large male Torvosaurus pushes through a thunder storm on Isla Nublar. He is on the hunt. The megalosaur recently lost a fight to a Triceratops, so he needs a meal soon. He prowls the foggy low lying plains, keeping an eye out for prey. The Torvosaurus suddenly hears a tree crash down , and he finds a lone female Shunosaurus wandering and eating from the tall trees. He slinks low, stalking the large herbivore. Suddenly, he lunges out and jumps on the side of the large sauropod. He leaves deep scratches, and bites into the side of the Shunosaurus. The sauropod shakes him off and clubs him with her tail in the flank, leaving a deep indentation and gashes along his side. He roars in pain and she bellows to frighten him off. In the heat of the battle they fail to notice the ground begin to shake in a rhythmic beat, almost in footsteps.
The Torvosaurus charges at the Shunosaurus and head-butts the large sauropod, nearly knocking it over. The megalosaur roars and bends down to take a bit, when he hears a louder roar echo his. He turns to find a bull Tyrannosaurus rex emerging in the clearing. Dread starts fill the Torvosaurus. The T. rex roars again, challenging the Torvosaurus for the territory and food. The megalosaur roars, trying to intimidate the Tyrannosaurus. In response the T. rex charges the Torvo, slamming into the side of the smaller predator. The impact flips the Torvosaurus over. The T. rex bends down to finish off the Jurassic hunter, when he feels a heavy impact hit him in the thigh. He turns around to find the Shunosaurus, swinging its heavy tail club, defending itself from the two large predators. The T. rex roars in fury, as the Torvosaurus gets his footing and slashes at the larger predator. All three animals are now ready for a fight, and no one is backing down.
The Torvosaurus kicks the Tyrannosaur, momentarily dazing the Cretaceous predator. The Shunosaurus rears up, and tries to land on the megalosaur. The smaller theropod jumps out of the way, just as the Tyrannosaurus grabs him by the arm, ripping off in one swift crunch. The King of the dinosaurs then hears the sauropod bellow, and he turns his attention to the Shunosaurus. He dodges the club, reaches down and bites the Shunosaur’s leg, crushing it instantly. The sauropod bellows in pain as the Tyrannosaurus grabs it by the neck and shoves it to the ground. The crunch of the Shunosaurus’ neck vertebrae can be heard around the clearing. Then he hears a roar, and turns to find the Torvosaurus. The megalosaur runs at his larger opponent, and tackles the Tyrannosaur, who quickly regains footing, and roars in pain and anger. The Torvosaurus manages to bite the thigh of the T. rex. The Tyrannosaur roars in pain and turns, now limping, and smashes his robust head into the face of the Torvosaurus, breaking teeth. The Tyrannosaur gets back up to find the Torvosaurus charging at him, jaws open and claws ready. The Tyrannosaurus quickly dodges out of the way, grabbing the Torvosaurus by the neck, mid-charge. Then the T. rex lifts him up in the air, and bites down decisively, snapping the neck vertebrae with ease. The T. rex’s pregnant mate arrives, as the Bull Tyrannosaurus lets the Torvosaurus tumble from his jaws, and roars viciously into the night sky, as lightning flashes, silhouetting the massive predator, king of the island.
WINNER: TYRANNOSAURUS REX!!!
T. Rex won because it honestly just had more power than the other two. Although the Torvosaurus' bite was strong, the T. rex's jaws were much more powerful. As for the Shunosaurus, the size difference and it having weak points that were taken advantage of lost the fight for it.
NEXT TIME: Giganotosaurus vs Yangchuanosaurus!
