MemberTyrannosaurus RexJan-27-2014 8:57 PMThanks, and I know what you mean. It's more fun when people are open minded and consider the opinions of others.
About the scoreboard, it's essentially a popularity contest. There are 809 people who have selected a team. There are 10(?) people who are online on a regular basis.
Just a little FYI, I'm 15 in March (the 6th to be exact), and I've actually been mistaken for older (16-18 usually).

MemberCompsognathusJan-27-2014 9:01 PMok, sure. but the kid wasn't passing his thoughts off as 100% fact...like Godzillasaurus. he was stating what he read and simply posted it on here. no need to attack the kid..
I have my own ideas, thank you very much. you can read my previous threads if you think otherwise.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexJan-27-2014 9:04 PMI agree with most of what he said. I heard that Rex could lift 10 000 pounds in its mouth from JFC (same episode as the vibration thing). Even puppy intelligence for a dinosaur is genius for a non Dromeasaur.

MemberCompsognathusJan-27-2014 9:28 PMI have an idea to make people happy. MrHappy, you ignore Godzillasaurus. The WTO of you have been fighting like Ox. Godzillasaurus, you ignore everybody and say it is my opinion. Now, this is just an idea, but if it tried, it might take away some of the fighting.

MemberCompsognathusJan-28-2014 9:05 AMYeah Fact Dude, he's been here about a month. And you were inactive for how many months exactly? Yeah, things change in that time. Get up to date with what's changed before you start commenting.
Godzillasaurus, your kind of comments are why people don't stick around. Some one new shows up and all they get are insults! How'd you like it if they did that to you?

MemberCompsognathusJan-28-2014 3:35 PMRex Fan, you know that i told you i looked at the site at least once every week, so yes, i am very up to date on how things have changed, as if anything has changed to begin with.
And Carnosaur, Godzillasaurus doesnt say things are fact, he says what he says are opinions as well, hes just good at stating the obvious things, not that its correct, but it makes a lot of sense, a lot like S-Rex does. Yes, he could stop getting all personal about some things, but hey, another quote from S-Rex, debate is what keeps this forum going and exciting. There is no way you guys dont get fun out of this, because you know you do.

MemberCompsognathusJan-28-2014 3:45 PMIf there weren't any opinions, then there'd be no debates or discussions. Debates/discussions are fine until someone goes off the deep end! Why do you think we proclaimed Spino vs Rex dead? You're just beating a dead horse. If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all!
Lord Vader
MemberTyrannosaurus RexJan-28-2014 3:51 PMIt's simple: Say it's an opinion, and most people, are fine with it. Say it's a fact, and someone will get ticked off. For example, just an example, let's say that T-Rex had better teeth than Spinosaurus. Say it as a fact, someone will get pissed off. Say it as an opinion, someone will give their opinion.
Fact is, Rex had better teeth for what it did. Rex had serrated railroad spikes for teeth, and they were great for crushing. If it had Spino's teeth, but lived a T-Rex lifestyle, it would be screwed because the teeth would not be strong enough for the purpose.
This is just an example, no one get mad, let's not get into a debate.

MemberCompsognathusJan-28-2014 4:00 PMLook at it this way, if someone said Tyrannosaurus could fly because his arms were short enough to do so as an opinion, it clearly doesnt make sense. So with that being said, im sure even you would disagree 100.1%
Rex Fan 684
MemberCompsognathusJan-28-2014 4:01 PMA lot of things people say don't make sense Fact Dude. That's life. But instead of obviously calling them wrong isn't the approach you take. You say YOUR OPINION/THEORY and leave it at that. Mention it's your theory and opinion. Trying to disprove someone is not cool. SImply sharing your own views is fine though.
And that's the example your going with? Really?
Lord Vader
MemberTyrannosaurus RexJan-28-2014 4:03 PMI agree with Rex Fan on that one, and that example does make no sense. That was funny though. My example did make some sense though, right?

MemberCompsognathusJan-28-2014 4:18 PMIts just when things really start to not make sense, its probably best to let them know that there is no way that it could possibly turn out to be the truth. Take my son for example, if he says something that makes no sense whatsoever and takes it as his opinion, im going to let him know that its most likely not the case. If i would just let him keep that opinion and it turns out to be wrong, which would most likely be the case, he would get upset about it and throw a fit and/or get made fun of by other kids for thinking the way he does, and i dont like for any kid to come home feeling sad because people made fun of them, ESPECIALLY my own.

MemberCompsognathusJan-28-2014 4:57 PMgo read the ' to end this once and for all about spinosaurus' thread. Godzillasaurus clearly stateswhat he writes as fact. or are you blind? i'll debate you all day. I was in Debate when i was in high school....so i know how these things work. People get pissy. facts of life.
FACT DUDE, you say you don't want some kid to come home upset or whatever when people blow off his opinions...when you did that to start off with! calling him a rex fanboy and dismissing him as' prolly 10-12'. I have a kid on the way... so i've been oddly defensive about certain things lately especially involving strangers. don't attack him for his opinion. Be Bloody constructive. I'll open up a thread for some debates if you feel like it. We can have these bloody discussions you and Godzillasaurus are ranting about.

MemberCompsognathusJan-28-2014 6:22 PMI interpretted it wrong, like i said judging by his wording that he is possibly 12 years old or less, and most kids that age dont think of their assumptions as "opinions", they look at them as fact, and also like you said i was 12 at one time and yes, i was the exact same way. Oh sure, NOW your having a kid so that you could come up with an excuse. Just outta curiosity, are you a bloody Brit lol.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexJan-29-2014 10:08 AMMost stuff is an opinion, it just so happens that that is not an opinion, but a fact that everyone can agree on. I was using that as an example. We can say that some things are fact, but the behaviour and fight style is opinions.

Spinosaurus Rex
MemberCompsognathusJan-29-2014 3:22 PMI not going to say im going to agree with that, I think Spinosauruses teeth are adaped to whatever it decides to eat, not just fish, but more meant for fish. PS, Spinosaurus caught very large fish, and when theyre thrashing to try to get out of its mouth, the teeth didnt break. And another thing, many of the fish it caught had thick, strong scales. Now we DO know this from fossils of the fish.
Lord Vader
MemberTyrannosaurus RexJan-29-2014 3:26 PMMy point exactly. Say it's a fact, and someone will dislike it.
S-Rex, I know about the fish being large and having thick scales, but if a T-Rex lived a normal T-Rex life with Spino teeth, the teeth which would probably get broken repeatedly if they had too much force (example, a T-Rex bite force) applied, they would likely break more easily than the teeth that T-Rex had.
