Hi :), long time Jurassic Park fan here. I came across some concept art for JP4, in particular this image:
and decided to make my own realistic version of the concept art to share with you all :).
(Technical info: Made in Autodesk Mudbox and rendered in Vray. Time: 2 days, Rendertime: 40m)
Hope you like it!

Now then, I'm going to say an Allosaur of sorts, most likely Allosaurus, maybe Metriacanthosaurus/Yangchuanosaurus.

Carnosaur
MemberCompsognathusJan-18-2014 8:35 PMlooks a bit like an allosaurus, interesting. Maybe Metriacanthosaurus because its' name was seen in the first movie

MemberCompsognathusJan-18-2014 8:49 PMA Metriacanthosaurus would be pretty interesting, but i don't think he really has the size and power to be the new villain, maybe the guys from ingen screwed something up and combined it with the DNA of a T.Rex/Spinosaurus making it super-sized, but otherwise it doesn't seem very likely, but he could get a side-role

MemberTyrannosaurus RexJan-18-2014 8:52 PMThing is though, Rex is going to back, so there's the big predator, Metri/Yang could be secondary (larger than Allosaurus), and then Velociraptor. At least, that's what I'm hoping.

MemberCompsognathusJan-18-2014 9:01 PMThat sounds like the most probable scenario :)

MemberCompsognathusJan-18-2014 9:01 PMWhat would a Jurassic Park movie be without the TRex and Velociraptors?? :)
Ofcouse they are coming back! :)
Gigadino
MemberCompsognathusJan-19-2014 6:51 AMTo me, it looks like a Giganotosaurus. Notice that this drawing (below this comment) is the Jame Gurney's Giganotosaurus, wich looks like a lot to this mysterious dinosaur.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexJan-19-2014 7:06 AMGiga is an Allosaur, so it's entirely possible. Here's an Allosaurus.
Notice how it also looks like our mystery Dinosaur. My reasoning for Metri/Yang is that Metri appeared in the first movie (the test tube theft scene), and the logo has Rex, not an Allosaur.

MemberCompsognathusJan-19-2014 8:26 AMThe new dino is a Giganotosaurus, mark my words. The Spinosaurus , Trex and Giga stand side by side in size, so there is only giga left, and because of his size and his name he is gonna be in Jurassic World :). You might wanna bookmark this comment ;)

MemberTyrannosaurus RexJan-19-2014 10:21 AMMy money is on Allosaurus, Metriacanthosaurus, or Yangchuanosaurus being the new dinosaur as a secondary predator, with T-Rex being the big one again.

MemberCompsognathusJan-19-2014 10:24 AMBtw what do you guys think about my render? I haven't seen any comments on it, maybe it's not visible? it's a rather large PNG tho, 1.2 MB...

MemberCompsognathusJan-19-2014 12:12 PMNow remember, This isn't finalized concept art, Sadly we wouldnt have our hands on it, if it was end product concept art. Remember that seen with lex and the baby trike? Yes No? Its okay, That concept didn't reach the production filming either...
Still, This Shouldn't have been rendered to a believable state, Because, remember those raptors, They never met Standards...
This should be taken in as a form of style of how their changing the dinosaurs for the next film, Giving it a new twist of style.

MemberCompsognathusJan-19-2014 12:17 PMAlso, From an artistic standpoint, you did a fairly good job rendering it to a believable state, The ridge above the Eye should be a little more sharper but still, Its a nice job
