MemberCompsognathusJan-11-2014 12:06 PMtwo blood thirsty theropods are about to go head to head, place your bets!
Albertosaurus:
Length: 8 m
Weight: 2.5 tons
Height: 3 m
Albertosaurs are pack animals. Unlike other tyrannosaurs, which hunt in packs of 4 or 5, Albertosaurus has been observed in huge packs of 20 plus members. They use their overwhelming numbers to take down large and difficult prey. They have been observed attacking Diplodocus, though the outcome wasn't seen. Albertosaurs can co-exist with other tyrannosaurs for short periods, but aggression pays a factor in who ends up having to leave. Albertosaurus is dark brown with orange crossbars on the chest, they also have a large yellow dewlap.
Becklespinax:
Length: 7.5 m
Weight: 2 tons
Height: 3.5 m
Becklespinax lives on the lush open plains of Isla Sorna. They are ambush predators, and often sit in wait for as long as 2 days for prey to wander by. When suitable prey blunders by(preferably a juvenile sauropod) the rush out and kill with a swift bite to the neck. Becklespinax lives and hunts in small family groups, but the males are kicked out at the young age of 2 years. They typically are dark green with small red stripes on the snout, and splotches of white down the body.
FIGHT!
It's a cold morning on Isla Sorna, and a female Becklespinax drops the remains of a dead baby stegosaur to the ground. Almost immidiately, her two chicks run in and jockey for the best meat. After watching for a couple minutes, she finds a nice tree and rests in the shade, keeping her eye on her two youngsters. She watched with parental pride, her chicks were only 6 months old, but were quite large. the larger one squawked at the other and ran into some grass to explore..but soon squeaked out in alarm.
The Female Becklespinax immidiately stood at full attention, and saw something large moving in the tall grass...something huge. Apprehensive as to what the animal could be, she put herself between the other baby and the grass. The grass parted to reveal a female Albertosaurus..with her baby in it's jaws. The mother stood and stared in shock, unable to move. The Albertosaur looked her straight in the eye, and swallowed her baby whole. Then with a low growl, moved towards the other youngster.
A sudden burst of hatred washed over the Becklespinax. This tyrannosaur had just eaten her baby, and was going to die. As the Albertosaurus rushed towards the baby, he was met with a tail to the face. She stood up, and glared at the allosaur. The mother Becklespinax stomped and roared, trying to get the Albertosaur to flee. The tyrannosaur wasn't intimidated, and ran forward to bite the snout of the Becklespinax. The tyrannosaurs teeth shredded her snout, but she swung her head violently and the Albertosaurus' grip was released. The Allosaur rushed forward and bit at the albertosaurus' chest. The tyrannosaur tried to break free, but couldn't. Knowing panickingwould make things worse, she turned her body and using her momentum, through the Becklespinax to the ground. She then turned her attention to the Baby cowering behind a pine tree.
She roared, and slowly made her way over to the youngster. The baby made a high pitched whistling sound, but the Albertosaur knew nothing could save it. He ran at the youngster mouth agape, and was hit like a freight train. The Albertosaurus was sent toppling over, and landed on her back. She tried to get up, but the allosaur was upon her. The enraged mother bit down on the throat of the tyrannosaur. The albertosaurus kicked and squealed, but couldn't land a blow on the Becklespinax. The beckespinax released her grip, and the tyrannosaurs foot claws caught the back of her leg. She stepped back and roared, giving the tyrannosaur time to get to it's feet.
The Baby Becklespinax was no where in sight, so the tyrannosaur wanted to make a meal of its mother. The Tyrannosaur leapt onto the side of the Allosaur, and pinned it to the ground. Using the adrenaline that now coursed through her veins, the Becklespinax got to her feet and threw the tyrannosaur off of her. She got to her feet, and noticed the Albertosaurus had started to circle her. She decided to walk oppopsite of the tyrannosaur, and reassed her opponent. The tyrannosaur looked down and out, but was for some reason sticking around. The allosaur wasn't fairing any better, blood was dripping down her snout and she was getting tired.
The sun was starting to come up, and this seemed to give the Theropods some new energy. The tyrannosaur charged first, and headbutted the thigh of the Becklespinax.this didn't have the desired effect, and the allosaur reached down and bit the neck of the tyrannosaur. The albertosaurus tried to wrench free, but the allosaurs' teeth only sank deeper into her neck. Wanting to put an end to this, the mother Becklespinax span a half circle and threw the tyrannosaur into a nearby tree. With a small cough, the Albertosaurus slumped to the ground. She tried to get up...but her legs weren't working. She roared at the approaching Beccklespinax, who upon approaching and sniffing the fallen tyrannosaur, left the area. The Albertosaurus watched as the allosaur left, her baby emerging from the tall grass.
A few hours have passed and the blazing noon sun was taking it's toll on the Albertosaurus. She could still not get her legs to work, and she was fast becoming dehydrated. The smell of decomposing meat caused her to break into a cold sweat. As she had feared, a pack of Kryptops had wandered into the area. The Abelisaurs had tracked the scent of the tyrannosaur and blood, and were now making small chirping noises. The leader of the pack was hopping from foot to foot, obviously excited at this easy meal. The Albertosaurus roared, but this didn't faze them. Instead, one Kryptops walked over and ripped the stomach open. The Tyrannosaur watched as she was being eaten alive.
Winner...Becklespinax!
I know what you guys are thinking. But when a mother has it's baby eaten in front of it, Nothing survives that mothers wrath.

MemberCompsognathusJan-11-2014 12:54 PMThats nice, I like the sort of FBR styled formant your using, Just as a tip, to give this your own spice, why dont you include which time their from aswell? like the Creatousus?
(I've not a problem with the FBR style, I think its rather nice in the hands of another writer at times, But I do ask you add your own style to it, Spice it up some)
other then my judgementalness to style, This is well done, (tips hat to you) Good job...

MemberCompsognathusJan-11-2014 1:09 PMi'm not exactly sure what the 'FBR format' is.. To be quite honest, i just started typing. I thought about adding what time period they were from....but i figured most of you guys might have known that

MemberTyrannosaurus RexJan-11-2014 2:56 PMBonus fights are more for when the series is over. So, after the finale. That out of the way, how about Acrocanthosaurus vs Torvosaurus or Tarbosaurus (I'll be rooting for Tarbo).

MemberCompsognathusJan-11-2014 3:04 PMhaha, that's what i meant, i've sorta got a couple in mind after the finale ( which is coming in a few days)
The second season is mainly gonna be large theropods, so whatever i don't use for bonus fights...i will use in season 2 :) Tarbo vs Acro is a good one.
