Albertosaurus Vs. Utahraptor
Albertosaurus
Albertosaurus was a mid sized Tyrannosaur from Late Cretaceous Alberta, Canada. It was about two tons in weight, and was almost thirty feet long. It was fast and agile for its size, and it was also quite strong.
Utahraptor
Utahraptor was a large Dromeasaur from Early Cretaceous Utah. It was about fifteen hundred pounds in weight, and about twenty feet long. It was agile, fast, and had a twelve inch sickle claw on each of its feet.
Begin!
An Albertosaurus is searching for a territory. He is on his own, and he's trying to establish a territory before he searches for a mate. He came across a nice territory, with an open plain, as well a dense forest, and a gently flowing river through the middle. He decides that this area would be worth a fight, and starts scent marking it, not seeing the owner.
A Utahraptor sensed the intruder, and went to check it out. The Albertosaurus was about halfway around the territory when he found him, and he roared out a challenge. The Albertosaurus turned around and roared in response. They stared at each other, neither breaking eye contact.
The Albertosaurus was the first to attack, and the Utahraptor jumped out of the way. Before the Albertosaurus had time to move, the Utahraptor jumped on him and started biting him. He lied down and rolled over in an attempt to crush the Utahraptor. The Utahraptor jumped off, and before he had a chance to attack, the Albertosaurus was on his feet and ready to counter.
The Utahraptor looked at the Albertosaurus, trying to see what he could use against his much larger foe. The Albertosaurus was doing he same, and he saw that it would only take one good bite to the neck to end the fight. The Utahraptor charged, and the Albertosaurus prepared for a counter attack. When the Utahraptor jumped, he ducked and turned around, ready for another attack.
The Utahraptor landed on his feet and turned around in time to see the Albertosaurus charging at him. He didn't have time to react, and was headbutted in the chest, sending him back a few feet. The Albertosaurus started to try and bite the Utahraptor when he got to him. The Utahraptor started slashing in an attempt to get the Albertosaurus off of him, and one of claws left a gash along his side.
The Albertosaurus roared in pain and stepped back, and the Utahraptor stood up. They looked at each other again, starting to get a feel for what the other was capable of. The Albertosaurus saw the toe claws would be an issue, and the Utahraptor saw that the Albertosaurus's jaws were its main weapon.
The Albertosaurus looked at their surrounding for a moment, open plains next to a cliff. The Utahraptor wondered why the Albertosaurus was interested in the terrain, and then he saw the cliff. He looked back at the Albertosaurus, and when he charged, he ran away. The Utahraptor ran as fast as he could for the forest, but the Albertosaurus was slowly gaining ground.
Just before he reached him, the Utharaptor turned. The Albertosaurus turned almost as quickly, and tripped the Utahraptor when he caught up. The Utahraptor didn't expect the attack, but the next thing he knew, the Albertosaurus was biting his arm. He slashed the Albertosaurus in the face with his free arm, and the Albertosaurus let go. The Utahraptor kicked him in the chest, and the Albertosaurus stumbled back.
The Utahraptor stood up, and by the time he had, the Albertosaurus had regained his balance. They looked at each other, and at the forest. They were within twenty feet of it, and the Albertosaurus could tell the Utahraptor wanted to go to it badly. The Albertosaurus decided to keep the Utahraptor as far away as possible from it, and charged in an attempt to push him away from it. The Utahraptor dodged, and ran into the forest, the Albertosaurus right behind him.
When they got in the forest, the Utahraptor tried to hide, but the Albertosaurus never lost sight of him. The Albertosaurus walked to the Utahraptor's hiding place, and the Utahraptor jumped out at him. The Albertosaurus expected it and headbutted him out of the air. The Utahraptor landed on his feet and charged again, attempting to jump on the Albertosaurus's back. The Albertosaurus ducked, and the Utahraptor hit a tree instead.
The Albertosaurus turned around and wasted no time attacking the Utahraptor. The Albertosaurus bit the Utahraptor in the neck and startedhaking his head. The force drove his teeth deeper into the Utahraptor's neck, and the Albertosaurus killed the Utahraptor quickly.
He dragged his dead enemy out of the forest and roared in victory, the territory being his now. A female Albertosaurus had been watching the fight and approached the male, seeing that he is a suitable mate. A few weeks later, their nest has ten eggs in it, and the male hunts while the female watches the nest.
Winner........ Albertosaurus
Larger, stronger, similar in speed and agility, Albertosaurus had a major advantage from the beginning.

MemberCompsognathusJan-02-2014 9:27 AMGreat fight, but one question, why was the Albertasaurus looking at the cliff? Beside that iit was a great fight.
