Deinonychus

Utahraptor

A Deinonychus is sleeping in his favourite place, a large tree branch about twenty feet off the ground. He discovered the branch when he slipped off the side of the nearby rock face and landed in the tree.

A Utahraptor is looking for a place to rest. He walked under the branch the Deinonychus is in and sensed him. He roared out a challenge, and the Deinonychus woke up and looked down to see the Utahraptor. They were both planning their attacks, but the Utahraptor didn't know where the Deinonychus was.

The Deinonychus suddenly jumped out of the tree, but he hit a small branch on his way down. The Utahraptor heard the branch get hit, and jumped to the side, watching the Deinonychus land on his feet where he had been standing. The Deinonychus looked at the Utahraptor, frustrated because he could have killed him right there.

They walk in circles, and neither broke eye contact. They suddenly charged each other, and the Utahraptor jumped. The Deinonychus ducked and slashed the Utahraptor's leg, knocking him off course and making him land on his back. The Deinonychus turned around and jumped for his signature move.

The Utahraptor tried to kick, but mistimed it and hit nothing, and was hit hard in the tail. The Deinonychus jumped off the Utahraptor before he could try to kick again, and was out of the way as the Utahraptor jumped up.

The Utahraptor charged again, and this time, attempted to hit the Deinonychus head on. The Deinonychus sidestepped and slashed, and the Utahraptor slashed as well. They caught each other by the hands, and their claws dug in and they stopped. They both fell, their hands a bloody mess, and both in great pain.

The Deinonychus stood up first, despite taking the worst of the move, and charged while the Utahraptor was down. The Utahraptor tried to kick again, and connected this time. The Deinonychus bounced back and hit a tree, and the Utahraptor took a turn to charge.

He hit full speed, but the Deinonychus was out of the way when he hit. The Deinonychus watched the Utahraptor stumbling around, and when he was seeing straight again, he looked at the Deinonychus, but then he saw something behind him as well.

He walked past the Deinonychus, and then the Deinonychus saw what he was looking at, a Parasaurolophus. They turned back to each other, and nodded. They attacked the Parasaurolophus, and when it died, they ate.

Winner........ Draw actually, let's say Utahraptor because Deinonychus won't stand a chance in the DD9097SS finale.

Larger, but less agile, the fight was more even than it appeared.
