A Deltadromeus is asleep. She has been successful in her life, and she generally stays around the area of Rexy's paddock. She had even encountered Rexy at one point. Rexy saw she wasn't a threat and decided to leave her alone, allowing her to live in the general area.

An Australovenator is hunting. He has never strayed this far from his territory, and he's in the Deltadromeus's section of Rexy's territory, and he could smell it. The fact that Rexy could attack him at any moment scares him, but he knows he can escape, being faster and always having a ten second head start, her weight causing the ground to vibrate with every step.

The Deltadromeus woke up and decided to go hunting. She quickly sensed the Australovenator, and started looking around for him. When she saw him, she started to follow him, wondering where he was going. She saw that she was larger than him, so she could save the trouble of getting a kill of her own and just taking his.

The Australovenator sensed her when the wind changed, and he turned around to see her within twenty feet of him. They stared at each other, and the Deltadromeus wasn't happy that she had to fight while he isn't tired. He looked at her, unhappy that he was being followed, and not knowing how long she had been following him.

They charged, and the Deltadromeus sidestepped and slashed his face. He turned around and tried to bite the Deltadromeus, but she was already out of his reach. They charged again, and the Australovenator expected the Deltadromeus to sidestep, and he slashed her face, leaving deep wounds. The Deltadromeus took her turn to try and bite, and she managed to bite his tail, slowing him down enough that she could let go and catch up to him.

He turned around and tried to slash the Deltadromeus, but she hadn't gotten that far yet, so he missed and she bit his face. He struggled free and then tried the same thing. He bit her arm instead, and she wasted no time to bite his neck, slash his face, and pull her arm out. She jumped back and mock charged. The Australovenator took the bait and attacked. She was out if his way and then slashed his neck, leaving deep wounds. The Australovenator roared in pain as blood poured out his neck, and the Deltadromeus watched, deciding what to to do.

The battle had gotten some attention, and Rexy was watching what was going on. She was impressed, and decided that she would help the Deltadromeus if she needed it.

The Australoventator and Deltadromeus charged at each other and collided. They both ended up on the ground, and they started biting and kicking and slashing each other and rolling around, the Deltadromeus on top, and the Australovenator on the bottom. The Deltadromeus kicked the Australoventator when she was on the bottom, and he flew into the air, landing in front of Rexy, who was lying down, almost completely hidden and watching.

He stood up, and the Deltadromeus was on his back shortly afterward. He rolled over in an attempt to get her off, but she jumped off and attacked his exposed belly. She ripped him open, and he was dead within minutes. She started eating, and looked up from her meal to see Rexy staring right at her. She growled, and Rexy walked away, having no intention of taking her kill.
