Death Duels 9097 Small Sector Round 1 Fight 6: Deltadromeus vs Austroraptor
Deltadromeus
The Delta runner, Deltadromeus was an agile predator from Mid Cretaceous Africa. It lived along side dinosaurs such and Charcarodontosaurus and Spinosaurus. It was about thirty feet long and weighed about one ton. It could run at speeds of about thirty MPH, and likely used its claws more than jaws in a fight.
Austroraptor
Austroraptor was a large Dromeasaur from Late Cretaceous Argentina. It was about twenty feet long, and weighed one thousand pounds. Much like any other Dromeasaur, it was fast, had a sickle claw, and mainly used its claws in combat.
Begin!
A Deltadromeus is hunting in Northern Isla Nublar, around the area of Rexy's paddock. She doesn't know she is being watched by something from inside the paddock, but it's not the Queen of Kings herself, it's a smaller, less threatening creature.
An Austroraptor suddenly charged out of the paddock and attacked the Deltadromeus. The Deltadromeus had heard the twang of one of the old electric wires, and turned just in time to see the Austroraptor. He tried jumping on her side, but she ducked and he sailed over her back.
They turned and faced each other, sizing the other up. The Deltadromeus knew she was larger, and she saw that her opponent would still be a threat. The Austroraptor knew he would have to fight for every hit and every dodge, and he saw that he was smaller. Both are light weight, extremely agile predators, and both prefer to use their claws.
The Deltadromeus roared at the Austroraptor, and attacked in the brief second he was confused. The roar got Rexy's attention, and she raised her head, half asleep, looked around, and went back to sleep. The Deltadromeus hit him in the side and he stumbled back before he hit the cement base of the original foundation of the paddock.
He regained his balance and faced the Deltadromeus, not knowing where she went. A sudden splashing in the mud got his attention, and he faced where it came from. He saw the Deltadromeus running full speed at him, and slashed her across the face with his hand claws, her momentum working against her and causing her to crash to the ground. The Deltadromeus rolled over and saw the Austroraptor jump at her. She kicked last second and sent him flying into the paddock, landing next to Explorer 04.
The Austroraptor landed on his feet and survived, but he jarred his spine in the process. There wasn't much fight left in him after the landing, and the Deltadromeus stood on top of the cement wall, looking down on her opponent, who could barely walk and was staggering around.
She looked for a way down to finish him off, and when did, she walked over to him and bit his neck. He knew he was going to die, and he wanted to attracted as much attention as possible. He let a high pitched scream, and unfortunately for him, the only thing that heard it was Rexy. The Austroraptor dropped dead, and Rexy was about to let out a loud roar, but managed to suppress her rage in order to avoid startling her human companion.
Winner........ Deltadromeus
Larger and stronger, the odds were in the Delta Runner's favour.

MemberCompsognathusDec-18-2013 4:40 PMDeltadromeus, Aucasaurus, and Irritator were the largest if I'm right.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexDec-18-2013 4:47 PMYes, and I remember being asked if I classified Delta as one ton.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexDec-18-2013 4:51 PMForgot about Dilo, he's up there too. Utahraptor is fifth largest. Dilo is in the runnimg for victory if he can take out Dryptosaurus tomorrow.

MemberCompsognathusDec-18-2013 4:55 PMI forgot about Dryptosaurus. He'd be up there as well.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexDec-18-2013 4:58 PMHe would be. Remember, I'm using Delta's poison crest theory, not the weak poison with the spit that I'm using in something else next week.
