Oh well, it means next chapters will be posted sooner ;)
So, hope you like it:
All... alone
As the eyelids slowly opened, a small, bright pupil emerged to the sunlight. Brighteyes was regaining his senses, and the world around him was clearer and clearer. He could see the light fleshing through the warm air of the morning, seagulls gathering all around, the green trees limiting the sand of the small beach he was laying on...
Then he realized he wasn't home. He wasn’t safe. He wasn’'t with is beloved family.
He was all... alone.
He slowly got up, very weakened by the flood waves. He sensed pain from all the parts. His muscle were full of lactic acid, that impeded him to move as usually. He was looking around him, confused, as he started to pick the right memories that circled his mind: he needed to remember what happened before, and more importantly, he needed to know WHERE HE WAS.
As Brighteyes managed to walk some feet away, he noticed some prints in the white sand. They were interesting: they were very large and deep, and resembled the body of a large dinosaur. Brighteyes moved his head slightly, only to see footprints getting past the main gash. Those footprints had the marks of only two toes...
With surprise, the 10 months old Balaur realized those were BlackTerror’s prints. It meant he survived the waves, and that he was sent by the flood in the same land Brighteyes was.
It was nothing good about this.
Brighteyes then saw another thing, that made him glad: he saw other footprints mixing with the Bradycneme’s. Those were a lot smaller, and in the same direction, almost hinting a chase between the two beings. And this could mean two things: BlackTerror got distracted before managing to eat him, and that there were preys to hunt.
But, before anything, he needed to eat something, as the waters of the day before wasted all his energies. And he needed quickly.

Brighteyes was wandering the shore from some hours now, in search of something to eat. He was too weak to be able to hunt, and too hungry for entering the forest. So every piece of meat he could get, was manna from heaven.
Finally, he found the carcass of a large Hatzegopteryx , very near to the sea waters. However, there wasn’t much left of what was its body once: only the feet, the skull, and a neck partially covered in some flesh survived the scavengers attack.
The male Balaur runned straight to the corpse, and started eating all he could. Althought remaining a little amount of flesh on the neck, it was enough for a young Balaur, many times smaller than that flying beast.
After getting fullfill, the small animal looked for a place he could rest, and digest in peace. He finally sitted on a shady spot, right under a tree branch. Then his mind started to feature and remember all the different and sad things that happened that fateful day. He remembered all: the lost of his home, the kill of his brothers first, and the kill of his parents, second.
Then, coming closely to getting some sleep, the little Brighteyes thought he will take his revenge.
He will take his revenge someday... yeah, someday...
