MemberCompsognathusNov-24-2013 6:01 PMThe Jurassic Park 3 ending to me was very anti climatic, but the original jp 3 script had a different ending. After the characters gave the raptors their eggs back and they go to the beach but suddenly the boat that Eric came in is there. Dr. Grant then asked Eric if he knew what happened to the boat driver but Eric said he didn't know, Doctor Grant then walks towards the boat and examines it. The helicopters then come and Doctor Grant examines a dead body's wounds he then realizes that the wounds were made by the pteradons, then Doctor Grant sees something. Dr.Grant tries to tell the helicopters and the Kirbies to be quiet but it's too late. The pteradons suddenly come out of the trees and chase Dr. Grant and others , everyone gets in the helicopters and they leave. The pteradons stay at the island and the characters start talking, Paul and Amanda Kirby say they hope the island will get blown up but Eric and Dr.Grant say that they do not agree with them and they want to go back. ( Billy does not get rescued like he did in the final ending) I feel like this ending would have answered some questions and have been a good set up for jp 4, but what do you think?

MemberCompsognathusNov-24-2013 9:16 PMThere was also an idea where the Spinosaurus attacks the soldiers and they fire on it. Not sure if it was supposed to die or if the army just retreats. But I agree, the ending was a bit of a let down.

MemberCompsognathusNov-24-2013 11:58 PMI like it. The ominous shot of the aviary door not being locked seems to set up something bigger to come, but in the film the pteranadons just majestically fly away. This ending seems to pay off the aviary shot better, and also ties into the very beginning of the movie with the boat. (Although it doesn't address how the Pteranodons attacked the boat in the beginning when they weren't let out of the cage until later in the movie.)

MemberCompsognathusNov-25-2013 1:06 AMThe ending to JP3 was good but yes as some have stated that it was quick and anticlimatic. I love the element of the the pterodactyls flying out of the trees. It makes sense and would have a been 10x the better ending.

MemberCompsognathusNov-25-2013 6:24 AMWell, the pteranodons shot explains a lot, but I agree with you, I was kinda dissapointed by the end: too short and without action.
