Terrance's Story: New World Chapter 7

They meet a new friend in the chapter, so enjoy.

A Strange Creature

After looking at the Stegosaurus, Terrance and Thorn continue looking around. They find a river, and have a drink, not seeing the Sarcosuchus twenty feet off the shore. The Sarosuchus suddenly lunges for Thorn, but Terrance sees it, and headbutts it off course, causing it to land a few feet off shore. Terrance walked up to it, and it snapped at his face, thinking Terrance was just an ordinary T-Rex. Terrance snapped at it's face, and the Sarcosuchus bit his face, and Terrance pulled out and looked at the Sarcosuchus, mad at it for biting his face, but more so for attempting to kill Thorn. He bit it's head and began pushing it around, and the Sarosuchus hit him with it's tail just under his eye, which made Terrance let go. The Sarcosuchus lunged, and Terrance sidestepped and decided to end it by stepping on it's head, crushing it's skull and killing it quickly.

Terrance and Thorn drag their kill away from the shore, hoping there aren't more. They eat it, and then hear a growl. Terrance looks in the direction it came from, and sees a strange predator roughly the same size as him. The challenger, a Spinosaurus, walks over to the dead Sarcosuchus and roars at Terrance. Terrance, having already eaten recently, decides it's not worth a fight and nudges Thorn to leave. They walk away from the Spinosaurus, and it begins to eat, wondering why Terrance and Thorn didn't fight, or run away scared.

Terrance stopped after a few minutes, and watched from a small distance away. He watched the Spinosaurus walk into the river and begin fishing. Thorn was amazed when it swiped at the water and pulled out a fish. That's when Terrance realized he had been intruding in the Spinosarus's territory. Terrance wondered what would happen if he entered the area of he brought a hadrosaur of some sort, seeing that the Spinosaurus seemed to enjoy fish and crocodiles.

Terrance found and killed an Edmontosaurus, and returned to the Spinosaurus territory. The Spinosaurus saw him, and the Edmontosaurus, and wasn't interested in it. Terrance set it down, and the Spinosaurus ignored it and continued fishing. After several tries to get the Spinosaurus to eat it, he gave up trying, and thought maybe they could share the territory, seeing that they have different diet preferences. The Spinosaurus thought the same thing, and thought he might be able to get some bonus protection from Terrance and Thorn. They lowered their heads in respect, forming a truce.
