MemberAllosaurusNov-07-2013 7:41 PMThis my post since a LONG while, but I think, in my most honest opinion, that the T-rex has been over used. I think if it appears in Jurassic World, it will be old, and the movie might actually kind of dissapoint me. What are your thoughts? Is the T-rex overused, or do you think it should make another appearance?

I personally want to see Rex return. It's the icon of the series for crying out loud! You don't just go and replace/remove the franchise's icon! Maybe it is getting old, but I guess it hasn't gotten old for me.

You can't dethrone a king is the word rex in its name. I don't think its old, just could be beaten by a pack of Giganotosaurus or even Yangchuanosaurus

Let's not get into what could beat it shall we ;)
T-rex rarely gets old. I'm not calling you a Rex hater or anything raptor401, but the only people that really think that are Rex haters. Tyrannosaurus is the king(it was named the tyrant lizard king for a reason) and is by far the most famous dinosaur. Some people say it's overrated. I say it deserves the press it gets.

I know what you mean.
Which is one of the reasons I sided with Spinosaurus.
But still, I would NOT mind seeing T-Rex again :D

Rex Fan, some people are different than others. Some people have short attention spans, and others not so short. Let's use me and my little brother as an example. My brother can last an hour two in the fields tops if I'm working in the same field (that's with that pop music crap he listens to). I, on the other hand, can last for .over six hours alone with the country radio station I recently discovered.
What I'm saying is, some people get bored with things faster than others. I'm fine with that, but I want the King to return.

T-rex just can't get old. It is too iconic, and I know a lot of people that know one single dinosaur species: T-rex, and this thanks to Jurassic Park. Tyrannosaurus is definitely too important for the JP franchise to get any old.
Just my opinion.

Bah, T.rex is overoveroverused, I would prefer a less-know Theropod, as Deinocheirus.

I agree with MrHappy. If you are a Rex-hater, you hate all things Rex. You are sick and tired of Rex, and you don't think Rex has anything to offer Jurassic World. You also hate Rex as a dinosaur.
The way you put it, RexFan, is that there is no middle ground. Your saying that people either worship Rex as the Tyrant King, or they are Rex-haters. This is just not true. raptor401 said that he thinks Rex is getting old. That's his opinion. People who think Rex is getting old are not necessarily Rex-haters.
While I agree that without Rex there is no Jurassic Park, I would like to see a lesser known theropod make an entrance.

Gigadino, I would like to see a little known theropod in the movie alongside Rex, but maybe not that little know. Something like Megalosaurus or Allosaurus would be ideal. Not massive, but not small either.
That's pretty accurate Dino.Fan, couldn't have said it better myself. It's all personal preference and interest.

What I meant was, most people could at least deal with Rex coming back. The only people who really would not want to see it at all(unless it's getting killed by something) are the Rex haters. If that makes sense.

Uhm nope the Rex haters are much different. I think that the new giant Abelisaur T.rex-sized (lenghtwise) would be a better thing in the next JP chapter. RexFan, the people that don't think that T.rex is a 14 m + 10 t + monster king of the dinosaur that kill any dinosaur in his ecosystem and need to be in JW aren't necessarely Rex Haters.

Let's just get out of the Rex Hater / Should Rex be replaced and by what, shall we?
Gigadino, just sayin, but there are well known dinosaurs, there are dinosaurs people have heard of and don't know much about, there are little known dinosaurs, and there are freakishly little known dinosaurs. I think the second group would be an ideal secondary or tertiary carnivore.

I honestly wouldn't mind if he returned as long as all the other dinosaurs do, but I think maybe it could use a new look, maybe sense they're may be not be frog DNA in the new movie it might look different
welcome to the new age
