MemberCompsognathusOct-09-2013 1:08 PMWelcome to round 2 of DeltaFights! This is should be on Wensday, and that is because I needed a day to write ahead. Well, I hope you like it, and I really hope you like the new competitor profile thing.
Eocarcharia

Length: 25 feet
Height: 7 Hips/Head
Weight: 2 tons
Weapons: 3 inch hand claws, 3 inch teeth, strong bite
Aggression: High
Intelligence: Low
Speed: 20 Mph
Defeated: Kryptops
Prey: Ouranosaurus, Carrion, young sauropods, whatever it gangs up on
Habitat: Preferably Forest, but they venture and hunt by Rivers too
Behavior: Eocarcharia is a naturally mean dinosaur. It likes to team up in large packs and go out looking for fights. Its been observed that one pack overwhelmed and killed Carcharodontosaurus. They hold their head at hip height most of the time and it has a fairly stiff neck. It rarely recurved its neck, and even when it does, its short, stiff neck doesn't allow for much addition in height. They have an unusually strong bite, and they also seem to use their claws a lot, which isn't as common in the larger Carcharodontosauriades. When it comes to fighting, they go for a full on frontal attack. They are reckless, and have a small brain for even a Carnosaur.
Utahraptor

Length: 25 feet
Height: Hips 6, Head 8
Weight: 1550 lbs
Weapons: Brain, 3 inch teeth, 5 inch hand claws, 12 inch toe claws, speed
Aggression: Low
Intelligence: Very High
Speed: 25-30 Mph
Defeated: Deltadromeus
Prey: Iguanadonts its own size or smaller, sometimes scavenging
Habitat: Forest
Behavior: Utahraptor is mostly an ambush hunter, running at top speed for a short distance, and then jumping on its side. Then it uses its long claws to cut deep gouges in the flesh. It then jumps off very quickly and waits for its prey to die of bloodloss. In close combat though, it is a different story. Its a naturally cautious animal, and it surprisingly doesn't prefer to fight. This is most likely due to its large brain. It is not as primitive as some used to think, and it turns out that it has the brainpower of a wolf or lion, and also learns very quickly. When fighting, it will try to end it quickly by attacking the legs and belly. Its arm flexibility is rather good for a dinosaur, but is only average for a raptor. They live in packs of family, and nothing more. The parent, children, and maybe a sibling, but that isn't often. Its not the fasted raptor, peaking at barely 30 mph, but its thick legs gives it amazing endurance, and another one of its strategies is to run its prey to exhaustion. They rely heavily on sight and hearing for their attacks. They vocalize very often and it seems like they talk to each other. Their talk is hard to hear, and they are fairly camouflaged against light forest and drier land, but in spring, is given away by bright red head plumes.
The terrain is going to be a light forest, and the river from the first fight isn't too far away.
Fight!!!
A Utahraptor takes a bite of of his killed Gallimimus. He had snuck up on it, and could speed up faster than the Ornithomimid. He was checking just how far the territory extends when he smelled the Gallimimus. He didn't plan to kill something, but he decided that it would help him. It is spring, and his head is in bright blume. He needs to attract a mate, and a dead Gallimimus would help his chances of attracting a mate. Unfortunately, it attracted an Eocarcharia. The Allosaur smells the dead Ornithomimid, and runs at top speed to the source of the smell. The Utahraptor hears, and smells the Eocarcharia coming, and backs away from his food. He goes off to hide in the woods just as the Eocarcharia gets to the Gallimimus. As the Carcharodontosaur eats, the Utahraptor watches, knowing that he has almost all the time in the world being downwind and hidden behind a tree, and comes up with a plan. He puts on a burst of sudden speed and quickly closes the gap between the Eocarcharia and himself. The surprised Carnosaur doesn't have time to react as the Utahraptor jumps onto his side and digs his long toe claws into the Eocarcharia. The Utahraptor is fairly heavy, but the Eocarcharia can hold his weight and still struggle. Finally, the Utahraptor is thrown off. He lands on his side, and before he can get up, the Eocarcharia runs over and bites down on his leg. It was the Allosaur's first very big mistake. His strong bite cracks the Utahraptor shin, but the Utahraptor gets the good end of the deal. His leg in pain, the Utahraptor lashes out with his other leg and create many long and deep gashes on the Eocarcharia's side. The Carcharodontosaur lets go and roars, only to be kicked in the jaw. The Utahraptor gets up and slashes at the Eocarcharia's neck. His long hand claws cut deep, but before too much damage is down, the Eocarcharia backs up. The Utahraptor is about to follow when the Allosaur runs forwards and slams into the Utahraptor. The small and light Utahraptor is sent flying backwards into a tree, breaking a couple of his ribs. The Eocarcharia runs at the Utahraptor, but the small raptor jumps out of the way at the very last second, and the Carcharodontosaur runs headfirst onto the tree. The Utahraptor runs in very fast and slashes at the Eocarcharia, but then he backs out before the Eocarcharia can attack him. The Eocarcharia runs at the Utahraptor, but the swift raptor flanks him and bites down on his side. The Eocarcharia roars and swings his arms, cutting into the Utahraptor's shoulder. The raptor is jumps back and runs away. The Eocarcharia follows him, but the raptor is too fast and gets away. The Eocarcharia, feeling like he won, goes back to the Gallimimus carcass, and, unfortunately for him, drops is guard, his second major mistake. Soon, the Eocarcharia hears a loud high pitched roar, and it sounds like it is coming from all around him. He is confused and a little scared. That little bit of terror becomes total fright when he sees the Utahraptor running at him, feathers fully out, and he is screaming like a banshee. The Utahraptor jumps onto the side of the Eocarcharia, arms and legs flailing, and the force of the impacts knocks the Eocarcharia over. The Utahraptor proceeds to gut the Eocarcharia with his teeth, hand, and toe claws. The poor Eocarcharia was still alive to see his liver get eaten and small intestine ripped out. Then, he died of bloodloss, scared, and in great pain. The Utahraptor lets out a triumphant roar, telling anything around that it killed an Eocarcharia.
Winner..... Utahraptor!!!

It was a short, and brutal fight. The Utahraptor was lighter, but more equipped to stay out of harms way, and once again, it had a plan of attack. It was spring, so its head and arm plumes helped a lot too.
Author's Comment: I want surprised that Utahraptor won, but I honestly didn't except it to win so fast. I though the Eocarcharia would put up more of a fight, but oh well.

MemberCompsognathusOct-09-2013 2:37 PMStrange, I don't know what is going on with the comment system. I edited and re-writed my comment 2 times. Anyway, great fight Delta. I was rooting for Utahraptor. Man, it just ripped apart the poor Eocarcharia!

MemberCompsognathusOct-09-2013 2:59 PMI was rooting for Eocarcharia, but it was a well written fight. Short, sweet, and to the point. Good job.

MemberCompsognathusOct-09-2013 5:40 PMI was rooting for Utahraptor. If I could redo one decision in my life, it would have been to not eliminate Utahraptor from DinoFights. Worst decision ever on my part.
Great fight, and also, do you mind if I borrow the "defeated: x" part of your file format? I think I must be a bit slow to have not picked that up earlier....

MemberCompsognathusOct-09-2013 5:46 PMYes, but you did have that on your small fights, remember? And I agree, I didn't agree with your Utahraptor vs Edmontia results.
Hi

DinoFights
MemberCompsognathusOct-09-2013 6:13 PMDid I? I could have swore I wiped that awful era from my mind and thus existence, since I never created them.
In all (unfortunate) seriousness, the entirety of my season 1 and some of season 2 were just awful.
But thanks for letting me use your format anyways!

MemberCompsognathusOct-09-2013 6:15 PMI still think they were good. Deinonychus is my favorite raptor so I was content with the results.
