MemberCompsognathusJul-26-2013 11:43 AMThis is my dream dinosaur game that I will make someday. It is called
Dinosaur Vs. Man
It is like primal carnage as in it has the same goal. Kill the enemy. It also has a bit of Dino D-Day in it because you get to play as a first person dino, and all of you have wanted to do that. Your argument is useless, don't pretend you haven't wanted to do that.
Dinosaurs (the only reason you would by this game)
Sinorthosaurus
Attacks: Jump, Claw, Bite.
Jump: it is just a jump, but you jump very high, and you glide from it. It's an attack because when you hit a person while jumping, you will latch onto them, and attack them with all your claws. It is the most powerful move, but it has a chance you will be thrown off. You don't kill the other person, but inflict some real damage.
Claw: a short range attack. You just swing your arm and hit stuff with your claws. It can be used in rapid succession. It has medium power.
Bite: probably the most used attack. Bite the enemy, and it will be poisoned. More bites equal more poison. It kills them over time. The initial bite isn't very powerful.
It is very very fast. The fastest if the game. It also jumps the highest. It is 5 feet long, and looks like the one from Dinosaur Planet ( correct me if I'm wrong). It has a very low health. And one tranqu dart puts it to sleep. It is a first person dinosaur, and all you see of it is the top of its snout, but it extends for some distance. It is also the only dinosaur in the game that can climb almost any surface. Has night vision, and everything is like it was in the daytime except a bit diluted in the color department.
Dienonychus
Attacks: Bite, Pounce, Claw
Bite: It is a low power attack that you can hold down to keep it bitting while biting, the opponent can't move much.
Claw: A quick claw swipe. Medium damage. Almost instantaneous cool down time.
Pounce: You jump onto the opponent and bite there head while shaking it around. If you aren't hit by a bullet, the victim dies. It is long range, and fairly low to the ground compared to jumping.
It is very fast and can jump very high, but not as far or high as Sinorthosaurus. When you jump, if you are going to hit someone, then you land on them and cause a differing amount of damage. It won't kill a full health, but it goes up to about 80% of full health damage. It kinda looks like the Novaraptor from Primal carnage, but has more light blue to it. No feathers. Lighter health, one tranqu tart puts it to sleep, but it takes a bit if time, and in that time, the controls get slower and more difficult. It has a fairly low health. As first person, all you see of it is a bit of the side of its snout on both sides, and it looks really narrow. Sees as good as the animal above.
Ceratosaurus
Attacks: Bite, Headbutt, Claw
Bite: It takes a few bites to kill a human, but you can keep biting for a while if you hold down the button. Medium-high damage
Headbutt: It uses its horn a spike to jab people with, but it eventually breaks, and if you use it on a wall or tree, it instantly snaps. You can still use it after the horn is gone, but it does little damage. Damage high-low
Claw: You swipe your arm around and it knocks people back. Damage little, but stunning.
Has a body shaped like jurassic fight club, but is a dull orange. It has a more medium health, and it takes two tranqu darts to subdue it. It runs quickly for its size, but is not as fast as Deinonychus. You see a bit wider snout than with the Deinonychus, but otherwise it is about the same. It is a weak strength dinosaur, and can break through some weaker objects, or stronger ones that have been weakened. The horn has a slight yellowish color to it, but sometimes becomes red. It also has a small jump. Enough to get up ledges and pipes you can't step over. Everything is dark, but silhouettes still can be made out. It sees motion the best.
Daspletosaurus
Attacks: Bite, Headbutt, Slam
Bite: This is the first time a dinosaur eats a person mostly whole. It bites down on the top half of the human, and is eaten. Leaving the bottom half for smaller dinosaurs to eat. Kills on spot.
Headbutt: It is like that of the Carnotaurus in Primal Carnage. It lowers its head and charges around. Sends humans flying, but usually doesn't kill them.
Slam:This isn't for killing humans, it is for breaking stuff. You run forwards and just before hitting something, turns to the side, slamming into whatever is in your way, and most likely breaking it.
It basically looks like a 30 foot long T. rex, but has a thicker and shorter neck compared to T. rex. It is a dark grayish brown color. Large head, with noticeable arms. More of a high health dinosaur, but not quite there. Medium to high strength. First person view shows very similar to that of Sinorthosaurus, but the snout is much wider. It takes 4 tranqus to put it asleep, and even then, it is not instantaneous. It takes some time, but the controls get sloppier. Slow dinosaur, but has good maneuverability. At night, it is dark. If there is some light, then it can normally see some things. Movement is very quickly seen.
Triceratops
Attacks: Headbutt, Trample
Headbutt: Basically you just run around with your head in position to skewer anyone with your horns. It is an instakill, but the horns don't have to do anything if just the small nose horn hits. This isn't any different form running or walking.
Trample: You just run over anything you didn't hit with your head. Kills instantly.
A simple dinosaur to use. Just run around. It has a good speed, and great steering. Also a moderate health. High strength, but when hitting concrete walls, your long horns might break. Also the horns hight get stuck in a tree. First person just looks out onto the top of its snout and sees it large nose horn. It is has many large grey and green blotches on its body, but the main color is a dark brown. It takes almost six Tranqu darts before finally falling asleep. In the dark, it is almost blind, but hearing is much better, and there is a smell radar on this.
Giganotosaurus
Attacks: Bite, Head Swing, Roar
Bite: It is as simple as you reaching down and getting your jaws on whatever gets in your way. It is then eaten. Instant kill.
Head Swing: It is a quick movement of bringing his head near the ground and swinging his body to one side. Anything in the way of the head is send flying, and there is a 50:50 chance if it being killed.
Roar: It is the only dinosaur in game to have this as an attack. The other dinosaurs will do it from time to time, but Giganotosaurus lets out such a loud roar, that it disorients people, and stuns them nearby. It has a mean cool down time though, so it can't be often used.
It is a big 50 foot long dinosaur, but still moves as fast as Ceratosaurus in a strait line. Turning is a nightmare though. It will break through many thing, and has a very high strength. It has the highest health, but is always the center of attention. First person view is a snout down the middle, taking up a fair amount of sight. Almost a a third of the screen is taken up by it. Most of the other dinosaurs have about a sixth or less of their screen taken up by snout. No matter how many tranqu darts go into it. It will not fall asleep, but controls get almost impossible at the worst. Almost blind in the dark. Needs a good light to see things. Hs great hearing, and a very large smell radar.
Now for people... (The dinosaur's snack)
Hunter
Weapons: Shotgun and JP style taser
Shotgun: It is a custom made shotgun powerfully built for taking on animals as large or larger than Elephants. Not the best accuracy, but loads of ammo strapped to a belt. Large recoil, and isn't the best at quick firing. It does have some distance to it.
Taser: It is a very powerful taser capable of temporarily stunning even a Daspletosaurus. It has a goo battery, and another on backup. It takes a while to reload the battery though. It is on a stick to keep the dinosaurs away further.
Looks a lot like Robert Muldon, (who am I kidding, he looks nearly identical) but has a belt with a large amounts of ammo and a long, shock proof pouch to carry the taser. Not the quickest person, but is very quiet, even when running. He gets a good vision, but no nigh vision. Still sees well in fairly dark places.
Sniper
Sniper rifle, two kinds of ammo, Tranquilizer darts and regular long range bullets. (Mr Happy, could you tell me the gun terminology for me please?)
Reg. Ammo: your every day sniper rifle bullets. Does a considerable amount if damage. Works from a very very long range. Dead on accuracy when using the scope.
Tranqu Darts: Not as long range as the others, but has a very powerful tranqulizer and will put most dinosaurs to sleep. Does no damage.
Great accuracy, a perfect long range guy. Has a dark red shirt on with a black vest over it. looks a bit like the Trapper from primal carnage, but has black hair and a beard close to his face. A strong amount of ammo. He is quite quick, and a great climber. He has more bullets than darts. The rate of fire is slowish to medium. He has an above adverse vision, and his sniper scope doubles as night vision.
Spy
Double Pistols, Dart gun
Double pistols: much like trapper from primal carnage. The both fire, and has a very quick cool down time.
Dart gun: It is a little gun that shoots poisonous darts. The poison is not to strong, and shouldn't be expected to kill. It does temporarily stun. Little damage.
The Spy is the only female in the game. She is wearing a black bodysuit, black eyeliner, and has black hair tied back in a pony tail. She doesn't have much ammo, and will have to constantly refill. She also has night vision goggles that come up automaticity when it is dark. She is very quiet, and can hide behind corners. She is also fast, and can climb some trees.
Army
Machine gun, grenade
Machine gun: Very rapid fire. Loads of ammo, a good amount of damage. Not an incredible amount of accuracy, especially from a distance.
Grenade: You chuck a grenade and it explodes. It is extremely loud.
You have camouflage clothes on, and a helmet. You have a considerable amount of ammo strapped to your chest. Fast, but not the quietest. It is sometimes hard to see you when in bushes.
And now for specifics...
This is one of the only games where you can't go through anything at all without breaking it. If you are a larger dinosaur, then you can break through some objects. It has a recoil though. It can only be played through an X box controller, even though it is on the pc. It will require a program to be downloaded, and you will have to get or have a controller. Wired is recommended. I'm really going into specifics here, so it might get a bit boring. There are a couple maps.
Rundown City: It is made of concrete, and have many broken windows. It also has lots of road and many trees. There are many lights with it. It basically looks like a city.
Forest: It is a thickly forested are its no hints of civilization at all. There are also several rivers with it.
Dinosaur Holding area: medium to thick jungle. Very much like Jurassic Park. There are several large fences, and plenty of buildings to go with it. Has several buildings with it. Some lights.
Beach: Its just your average sandy beach with a light house and a lifeguard area.
Sea Port: The area where ships come a d go. There is a cargo ship there, but it is pretty close to shore, and if you go around the back, you can get onto a beach.
There is also the matter of time of day, and weather.
Time of Day, evening, noon, night. Weather can be clear, overcast, sprinkling, thunderstorm. During the night or some weather, the brightness of it all changes. Night is dark, and a dinosaur or human with night vision is advised. The weather is created randomly.
You can die form a long drop, drown in the water (but still can swim depending on how far the fall was), dinosaur killing you. Humans also have stamina that depletes as you run, but regenerates as you walk or stay still.
There can only be one Giganotosaurus per ten players to make it fair. Up to forty people can play on one server at once. It is an online game, and always is online multiplayer. The modes are
Normal: There are two teams that try to kill eachother. Once dead, you spawn as the same team, but you can change your character. It is timed, and the person with the most amount of Kills to Deaths wins.
Dino Free For All: there are only dinosaurs allowed, and you can't be a Giganotosaurus. One you are dead, you are dead. The last person standing wins.
Practice: This really isn't a mode, but it doesn't need wifi. You choose your character and just run around the map of your choice. You can add computer controlled players to practice with other things around. No restrictions apply.
Everyone for themselves: It is an all out battle royal with every man for them self. Once you are dead, you spawn the as same team you where on, but you choose the player (I mean if you were a human and died, you can only chose a human). It is a timed event and the person with the most kills to deaths win.
To be added content; Marine Battle, Air Battle. More detail later.
Once your health runs out, you are dead. Dinosaurs can revive their health by eating people or dinosaurs killed by people. Falling will damage your health depending on how far you fell. People can revive their health by going to little health boxes scattered around the map. It takes a while to heal to full health, and is advised to not fully heal. Ammo boxes are scattered around to, but it isn't to long to reload your ammo storage.
Now that you now the game, how much would you pay for it:
A: $30
B: $40
C: $50
D:
Mine is D
Any questions? Let me know. And suggestions are very helpful too. Thanks

MemberCompsognathusJul-26-2013 11:56 AMB. is a fair price to me. Interesting game. I'd be a Daspletosaurus most of the the time because it's the closest thing to Tyrannosaurus. I would have added T-rex in there personally. The one dinosaur that is able to challenge the Giga. Good overall though.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexJul-26-2013 11:56 AMThat is a cool idea. All sniper rounds are long range. My only question is, what calibre? .223 would be good for anywhere from 300-400 yards, .50 BMG can be accurate for over a mile, and 20 mm is huge, not sure about range, probably at least 1500 yards for accuracy. Slow fire speed obviously means Bolt Action, and wouldn't be a good idea to have a pistol as a back up weapon?
I choose D.

MemberCompsognathusJul-26-2013 12:06 PMRex Fan, there a reason I didn't add T. rex, it was in Primal Carnage. I want a different game, with different Dinos. It has some similarities, but I think only one big dino is good.
MrHappy, I'm thinking more in the range of the 223. I think the battle field would only be about 6-7 hundred meters, probably less.
Hi
Rex Fan 684
MemberCompsognathusJul-26-2013 12:17 PMI get that. It's nice to have some differences. I'd have T-rex, but that's just me.
This is the bonus level

MemberTyrannosaurus RexJul-26-2013 12:48 PMIf you want 600-700 metres, then a .338 Laupa would be pretty good for that. Maybe a standard 30-06 Springfield would be the best option though.

MemberCompsognathusJul-26-2013 4:32 PMIt is so much like Primal Carnage though. It's like all the new Wii u Mario games. They all the same with a little difrentials. I'm also designing an adventure game, but it's nothing with dinosaurs yet Keyword yet. I'm still thinking of an applicable level.

MemberCompsognathusAug-11-2013 12:43 AMhere are some tips to get more people into the game:
1 you should add some famous dinosaurs to increase the peps:
T-rex (now who wouldn't want to be a t-rex chomping peoples' head off)
Velociraptor (small but you can grab onto peoples' body parts and claws them to death)
spinosaurus (in jungle/outdoor maps you can add rivers so you will be able to play as a spino and pick up npc animals like fish, smaller dinosaurs etc. and THROW them! I got that from dino d-day)
and more!
2 FREE TO PLAY!! I mean I would get the game if it was ftp and others would too cause it ain't about the money its about how much people enjoy it.

MemberCompsognathusNov-11-2013 3:31 PMI personally think this would be an amazing game, i would pick C. A little thing to add some extra awesome would have to be an underwater area, maybe the humans would start off in a viewing dome, and had to equip diving suits and try to make it through various checkpoints to get to an escape of some sort! IF SOMEONE WHO CAN MAKE THIS IS READING THIS JUST PLEASE DO IT D: some ideas for the prehistoric creatures waggling there way through the water trying to eatya' would have to be 1 liopleurodon, plesiosaurs, and maybe a tylosaurus!
