The Season Final of Clash of Impossibilities First, the tribute... Ceratosaurus- The deadly horned predator Allosaurus- The terror of the Jurassic Ankylosaurus- The deadliest tank Daspletosaurus- The tyrant before T-rex Diplodocus- The suspension bridge dinosaur Now, the bonus fight! The fighters are... Tyrannosaurus rex vs Acrocanthosaurus Tyrannosaurus At 40-50 ft long and 7-10 tons, this was one of the biggest land predators ever. While it's arms were not very useful in battle, it's massive teeth and powerful bite were among the deadliest weapons ever. Acrocanthosaurus This was the biggest predator in N. America before the appearance of Tyrannosaurus. Acrocanthosaurus reached an impressive 36-40 ft long and 3.5-4.5 tons. With sharp teeth and deadly claws, this was one fearsome killer. Fight- A male Tyrannosaurus is patrolling the borders of his territory. As he is reaching the end of his patrol, he encounters something. A male Acrocanthosaurus approaches the tyrannosaur and roars. He is challenging him for the territory. The Rex roars back and the two giants face each other. The larger Rex stands as tall as possible to try and intimidate his rival. The Acro turns sideways, using his sail to make himself look bigger. Neither back down. The fight's on. The Acro approaches cautiously. He knows the Rex is bigger and stronger, but he is slightly faster and has longer hand claws. The Acro rushes forward, but the Rex preempts the attack by swinging is head, smashing the Acro's head. The Rex then headbutts the dazed Acro, knocking him to the ground. As he lunges for the Acro's throat, the Acro slashes the Rex's leg with his foot claws. The Rex backs up while the Acro gets back on his feet. The Acro then lunges forward and grabs the Rex by the shoulder while slashing his flank with his claws. This attack brings him into range of the Rex's jaws though. The tyrannosaur grabs the allosaur by the sail, right above his neck. The Acro lets go and roars. The Rex shakes his head and breaks of a section of the Acro's sail, causing some bleeding. The Acro tries to figure out what to do next and as he does, the Rex charges. The Acro reacts in time. He turns and swings his tail, striking the Rex in the face. The Acro takes the opportunity and attacks. Using his long hand claws, he slashes the Rex's face, taking out an eye. The half-blind Rex roars in pain and shakes his head to try and get the blood out of his face. The Acro attempts the same attack, but with the other eye this time. As he brings his claws down, the Rex ducks and grabs the Acro by the arm, breaking a number of bones. The Acro tries to get the Rex to let go, the tyrant dinosaur holds on. Eventually, the Rex pulls back and dislocates the whole arm. After he does this, he finally lets go. The Acro is in terrible pain. He lunges for the Rex's throat, but the Rex sidesteps. The Acro slams into a tree and gets a splitting headache. This is when the Rex goes in for the killing blow. He grabs the Acro by the back of the neck, right where he broke the sail. The Acro struggles in his jaws, but can not get free. Then, using the force of 18,000 pounds per square inch, the Rex crushes his neck, severs the spinal cord, and kills the Acro immediately. 1 Hour Later A female tyrannosaur and her offspring look up and see the male dragging the Acro's mangled body into the nesting area. The chicks look at the strange carcass, never seeing an Acrocanthosaurus before. Then, the family begins to feed. Winner- Tyrannosaurus rex Bigger, stronger, and smarter than the Acro, Rex was ultimately the better carnivore. Both were apex predators for their respective times, but the tyrannosaurs as a whole eventually succeeded the allosaurs as top predator. Well that's it. The Clash of Series is over. Well, for me it is. Deltadromeus want's to carry on with it and do one more season. So, keep an eye out for his version. Now that I'm done writing the Clash of Series, I will start posting The Fight To Survive. I thank all my loyal readers and hope you enjoy Deltadromeus' version and the upcoming story The Fight To Survive.

I agree with these results. Acrocanthosaurus was like the T-Rex before T-Rex.

Great job Rex Fan. I will do a bit of a continued Clash of season, but I don't think it will be a full official season. I should have one up today it is called Clash of Similarities.

Haha, something tells me Acro would not win against a fully grown Rex.

I read this before Makaveli commented, but I was so busy today, that I didn't have time to comment. Taking off 40 acres of wheat and this isn't even the busy time of year.

T-rex didn't get that big, he was only 40-42ft. long and 7-8 tons. But in the end, I think Acro would lose 65-70% of the time.

Youre fat, and I'm not sugarcoating it cause you'd probably eat that too.

There's been a new study suggesting that Sue was 9.5 tons and there are larger specimen. UCMP 118742 for example, it would've been about 13.5 meters (44 feet) long and about 10-11 tons. The big twist was that UCMP was 16 years old and Sue was 28 years old, which means that UCMP would've had another 4-6 years of drastic growth and after that, 0.6-0.7% of body mass every year, which would put it at about 13-16 tons once it is as old as Sue (since we only have part of the skull for UCMP we can't calculate the weight as exactly as Sue's).

Keep in mind that many people have died for their beliefs; it's actually quite common. The real courage is in living and suffering for what you believe in. -Brom-
