Allosaurus vs Triceratops
Allosaurus
This carnivore was the most common predator of the late Jurassic, and for good reason. It had the size, 30-36 ft long and 2-3.5 tons, and it had the weapons, teeth and claws. Not to mention speed and agility. Allosaurus was certainly the terror of the Jurassic.

Triceratops
At over 25 ft long and 5-6 tons, these giants were some of the most dangerous herbivores ever. With 3 foot horns and a massive frill, even T-rex had to be careful when dealing with this dinosaur.

Fight
A lone Allosaurus is on the eternal search for food. He picks up the scent of something he does not recognize. He decides to investigate. Upon reaching the source of the smell, he discovers what he believes to be the "jackpot." A small herd of Triceratops is feeding at the base of a cliff. A large bull is the alpha male of the herd. He quickly catches the scent of the allosaur. He bellows and the herd takes that as "time to go!" The allosaur charges out of the trees to attack. The bull gets between him and the herd. He'll defend them with his life. The allosaur has never fought anything like this in his life. The Trike on the other hand has. He's fought much worse actually. His frill has a large bite mark in it courtesy of a large tyrannosaur. The allosaur, using his speed, tries to outflank the Trike. But the bull is surprisingly fast. He turns to face the attacker head on. Even thought he has never fought a Triceratops before, the allosaur is no fool. He knows those horns can cause serious damage. To him, they are like Stegosaurus tail spikes, only on the head. The Trike changes his frill's color from black to bright blue. The allosaur is momentarily confused, then sees through the ruse. He's seen a Stegosaurus perform a similar move with it's back plates. He charges the bull, then sidesteps. He slashes the Trike's neck with his long hand claws. The Triceratops bellows in pain and turns to face the allosaur. The predator is too fast though. He actually jumps over the Trike and lands on the other side. He quickly turns and bites the Trike on the shoulder. This time, the bull does react in time. Right before the allosaur can pull away, he sends his small nose horn directly into the flank of the allosaur. The predator roars in pain. Luckily for him, the injury is not serious. He circles around and slashes the Trike's back leg with his claws. The bull turns and slams his body into the allosaur. The carnivore runs into the cliff-face and sustains two broken ribs. But Allosaurus' are born fighters and can take injuries like that pretty well. He leaps forward and slashes the Trike on the face, blinding him in one eye. The bull backs up a few steps and shakes his head to get the blood out of his face. Then, he charges. The allosaur is surprised by the Trike's speed and can't get out of the way in time. The bull sends one of his brow horns straight into the allosaur's thigh. The predator is in terrible pain now. The Trike believes the fight is over and turns to leave. His mistake. The allosaur is not done. He jumps onto the back of the bull and, using his hand and toe claws, holds on as he bites down with his hatchet-like jaw. The Trike bucks, but can't throw the allosaur off. The bull is bleeding heavily now. Eventually, he succumbs to blood loss and falls over. The Allosaurus walks up to the fallen Trike and slashes it's throat open. This allosaur won't have to hunt again for a week. A pair of Ceratosaurus' watch from the trees and are soon joined by a trio of raptors. However, they dare not try to take away the agitated allosaur's food now.
Winner- Allosaurus

The allosaur was too fast for the Trike. Even though the Triceratops was stronger, it didn't really matter if the allosaur was never within striking distance. Allosaurus' speed gave him the victory today.
Next time on Clash of Impossibilities
Spinosaurus. The pharaoh of Africa. Ankylosaurus. The tank of N. America. What would a fight between these two heavy weights be like? Find out when Spinosaurus takes on Ankylosaurus in Clash of Impossibilities.

MemberCompsognathusJul-18-2013 12:25 PMI think this outcome was pretty accurate.
For the next fight, I'm predicting Spinosaurus. It can just stomp on the much-smaller-than-we-thought Ankylosaurus or flip it over.
