MemberCompsognathusJul-13-2013 2:17 PMThis is a possible battle constructed by me and Rex Fan684. This battle is what could have happened before DinoFights's sister found the bones showing a brutal battle between two giant meat eaters. Enjoy
Giganotosaurus Carolinii was a large South American Allosaur. It has been found bigger than previously thought by none other than DinoFights's sister and her dig team. The size has been moved up from 45 feet long to 50 feet long. The new length has a height of 20 feet, and weighed 8.5 tons. Giganotosaurus wasn't the smartest dinosaur, despite its size, it only had a brain the size of a banana. It had a head that was much bigger. Its 6 foot head held long 8 inch knifelike teeth that are perfect for cutting through flesh. It had a bite force of nearly 3 tons per square inch. That is only 1/3 on that of a Tyrannosaurus rex, but is perfect for the kind of prey it taken on, sauropods.
Giganotosaurus was one of the largest predators, and it took on the largest prey, Argentinosaurus. Possibly the largest animal ever to walk the earth, only smaller, than the Blue Whale. To take on these animals of colossal proportions, Giganotosaurus is speculated to hunt in large groups, allowing them to take down even the 80+ ton sauropods. Life wasn't easy for Giganotosaurus though, Mapusaurus and Tyrannotitian, relatives of Giganotosaurus, roamed South America as well.

Ekrixinatosaurus Novasi is perhaps the largest Abelisaur, the dinosaurs that include Carnotaurus and Majungasaurus. It is 33-36 feet long, 14 feet tall, and around 4 tons. The main weapon was its jaws, they packed a 2 ton bite pressure, and the teeth were a full 4 inches long, a deadly combination. It was fairly fast too, reaching up to 25 miles per hour. It lived in Argentina with the other Abelisaurs like Abelisaurus and Aucasasaurus. It had very small arms with extremely small hands, a common Abelisaur feature. It was a fairly large and robust dinosaur, and probably scared other dinosaurs away if need be, either to take food, or to defend territory. It probably preyed on the smaller sauropods like Saltosaurus or Amargasaurus.

It is a hot, dry day in Middle Cretaceous Argentina, a 35 foot long Ekrixinatosaurus has just killed a large Amargasaurus but now is thirsty. A 50 foot long hungry male Giganotosaurus is patrolling the edges of his territory, hoping something will enter it in search of water. He hears a large crashing sound and finds that an adult Argentinosaurus has just came and is heading towards his watering part of a lake. He decides not to attack the giant over twice his size, it's too risky. Ekrixinatosaurus has just eaten when he hears the sauropod. Even though he's not hungry, he goes to investigate. Ekrixinatosaurus unknowingly passes into the Giganotosaurus's territory, and Giganotosaurus knows it instantly. The Allosaur goes to investigate the intruder who made it to the lake and is drinking from it. Giganotosaurus sees the intruder and potential meal, and roars at it for some distance. The Ekrixinatosaurus wants to know where the sound came from, but the distance makes the Giganotosaurus sound smaller. The Ekrixinatosaurus wander into the woods where Giganotosaurus lies in wait. The Ekrixinatosaurus can smell Giganotosaurus, but can't pinpoint his location. Suddenly, Giga bursts out of hiding and instantly gets his jaws around the neck if Ekrixinatosaurus. The Giganotosaurus's teeth pierce deep into the Ekrixinatosaurus's neck, but despite the deep gashes they are creating, it isn't doing much damage. The Ekrixinatosaurus wrenches his neck out of Giga's jaws and lunges for the neck of Giganotosaurus, but Giganotosaurus swings his arm at Ekrixinatosaurus. Ekrixinatosaurus dodges this and bites Giganotosaurus's arm. The Giganotosaurus roars in pain and tries to pull his arm out of the Ekrixinatosaurus's mouth, with no luck. Finally, the Giganotosaurus, with his arm in the Ekrixinatosaurus's mouth, goes to a near tree, and slams it with the Ekrixinatosaurus's head by moving his bitten arm. The Ekrixinatosaurus only gets angry by this, and he bites the snout of Giganotosaurus. The Giganotosaurus shakes his head and dislodges the Ekrixinatosaurus from his snout. He than uses his height advantage to bite down on the Ekrixinatosaurus's back. The Giganotosaurus then proceeds to shake it around, but Ekrixinatosaurus manages to wrench himself free, then he slams into the Giganotosaurus with the side of his body, sending Giganotosaurus staggering back. The Ekrixinatosaurus now follows up with a headbutt, knocking the Giganotosaurus over. Giganotosaurus quickly gets up, only to have the Ekrixinatosaurus headbutts him again. The Ekrixinatosaurus bites down on Giganotosaurus's side, and pushes him sideways. The Giganotosaurus hits a tree, and the Ekrixinatosaurus backs up, only to slam Giganotosaurus into the tree again, then again, then again, breaking many ribs. Finally, Giganotosaurus uses his long, powerful legs and runs forwards, freeing himself from the Ekrixinatosaurus, and making the Ekrixinatosaurus run into the tree as he was going to slam Giganotosaurus into it again. The Giganotosaurus turns around and gets its jaws around the Ekrixinatosaurus's neck once again, but the Ekrixinatosaurus has such a thick neck, that it doesn't do much damage. The armor on his neck protects him further and the Giga proceeds to break teeth. While keeping his hold on the abelisaur, Giga uses his good arm to slash the Ekrix’s shoulder, causing deep gashes. The Ekrix struggles to get free and eventually does. Unfortunately for him, the Giga is already attacking again. He rushes in and at the last minute, goes in low and slashes the Ekrix’s chest with his teeth. The abelisaur swings his head and knocks the Giga in the face with it. The Allosaur shakes his head around a bit and the abelisaur takes advantage of the situation. He headbutts the Giga in the flank and he goes stumbling back. As he stumbles, he trips over a log and falls hard. He has trouble getting up and realizes his leg is broken. The abelisaur charges in for the final kill, but the Giga strikes out. Using his good leg, he thrusts his toe claws deep into the stomach of the Ekrix, causing serious pain and bleeding. The Ekrix leaps back to get the claws out of his stomach. The Giga painfully gets up to face his rival. The abelisaur takes advantage of the Giga’s broken leg and attacks. He grabs the allosaur by the back of the neck. His jaws are strong, but short. The Giga quickly shakes him off. He swings his head and strikes the Ekrix across the face. The Ekrix turns around and does a similar move, but instead uses his powerful tail. He follows through by shoving the Giga with his own body. But the allosaur fights back. Using his good arm, he slashes the abelisaur’s face and blinds him in one eye. The Ekrix backs up and shakes his head, trying to get the blood out of his face. He charges the Giga, but the larger predator is ready. He meets the charge and shoves back. He pushes the Ekrix back until he slams him against a tree, knocking it over. The heat is starting to take it’s toll. Being warm-blooded, they overheat easily. The two super-predators begin to pant and rest. After a few minutes, their temperatures are back to normal and they continue the fight. The Giganotosaurus takes the first move and slams into the Ekrixinatosaurus, sending it staggering back. The day is turning into evening, and clouds are starting to come in. The Ekrixinatosaurus recovers from being hit, and headbutts the Giganotosaurus, hitting him right in the chest. The Giganotosaurus is pushed back by the blow, but he uses his good arm and rakes the Ekrixinatosaurus's neck before it has time to back up. The Ekrixinatosaurus quickly backs up before his neck is too badly wounded, and he bites that arm too. Then the Ekrixinatosaurus jerks his head back and forth and dislocates the Giganotosaurus's good arm, disabling it. Giganotosaurus roars in pain, and he brings his jaws down on the Ekrixinatosaurus's neck and shakes his head around. The Ekrixinatosaurus brakes free, backs up, and slams his head into the Giganotosaurus's snout. Giganotosaurus steps back, in great pain, and copies the Ekrixinatosaurus's attack and headbutts the Ekrixinatosaurus. The Ekrixinatosaurus is surprised to be attacked like this, and staggers back a bit, but soon recovers, and bites at the Giganotosaurus's shoulder. The Giganotosaurus is in great pain, but he rips his shoulder out of the Ekrixinatosaurus's jaws, bringing many teeth with it. The Giganotosaurus now uses the side of his head to slam into the Ekrixinatosaurus like a baseball bat, sending the Ekrixinatosaurus stumbling. Just as the Ekrixinatosaurus regains his balance, he steps forwards and trips over a big rock that he happened to miss when he was stumbling. The Ekrixinatosaurus goes crashing to the ground, and Giganotosaurus takes his chance to bite down on the Ekrixinatosaurus's neck and keep it down by the floor, while he uses his bad leg to push down on the Ekrixinatosaurus's back. The Ekrixinatosaurus uses his very powerful legs to push up on the Giganotosaurus, and the Giganotosaurus eventually gives. The Ekrixinatosaurus painfully stands up and faces the Giganotosaurus, then they hear a crashing sound in the wood. The Argentinosaurus that drank from the lake before the fight began is still here and has spotted the two predators. It faces them with its side, and swings its tail at them. The Giganotosaurus quickly ducks, and the Ekrixinatosaurus gets out of the way, but is not quite quick enough and is hit with the very end of the tail. It doesn't do much damage, but it knocks it off balance. The Giganotosaurus is wary about the Argentinasaurus's tail, but runs to the Ekrixinatosaurus and slams right into it. The Ekrixinatosaurus is pushed over to a large tree and hits it hard, then slumps to the ground, temporarily unconscious. The Giganotosaurus also fall, he too is going in and out of unconsciousness, when he realizes that his dislocated arm doesn't hurt as much any more, and that he can move it just fine. His fall to the ground has miraculously pushed his arm back into place. He gets up on it, and watches as the Ekrixinatosaurus slowly gets up too. The Ekrixinatosaurus starts running in head first at the Giganotosaurus at top speed, but just at the last moment, the Giganotosaurus swings his arm and hits the Ekrixinatosaurus in the side of the head, sending his momentum flying somewhere else, and sending the Ekrixinatosaurus falling to the ground. The Ekrixinatosaurus is once again surprised by the Giganotosaurus, it thought that both arms where disabled. He knows not to make that mistake again, the Ekrixinatosaurus rolls onto its belly, then pushes off with its legs and catches the Giganotosaurus's throat in his jaws at a good speed. The Giganotosaurus roars in pain as his head is brought down to the level of the Ekrixinatosaurus's head, and is slowly having his neck twisted. He uses his arm once again, and strikes the area just below the head of the Ekrixinatosaurus, causing it to let go of the Giganotosaurus's head. It is almost night and is starting to rain, and now the Giganotosaurus is using the has just gotten out of the Ekrixinatosaurus's jaws, but not without deep wound that are bleeding heavily. Giganotosaurus uses his size advantage to use and once again slams into the Ekrixinatosaurus, sending it staggering back. As the Ekrixinatosaurus recovers, he find that breathing is hard because of the rain, and decides to end it quickly. Giganotosaurus has found this out to, and has the same thought. The Ekrixinatosaurus charges the Giganotosaurus at full speed, jaws agape, but the Giganotosaurus stays right where he is. Then, the Giganotosaurus sidesteps, sending the Ekrixinatosaurus flying past him, and hitting a tree. The Giganotosaurus turns around and bites the Ekrixinatosaurus's neck from behind. Then the Giganotosaurus quickly jerks his head downwards, driving his long teeth into the Ekrixinatosaurus's spine, and spinal cord, severing it. The Ekrixinatosaurus drops, paralyzed, and the Giganotosaurus puts his foot down on the Ekrixinatosaurus's neck, puts all his weight on it, and kills the Ekrixinatosaurus. It is really raining hard now, and Giganotosaurus is feasting on the dead Ekrixinatosaurus, he is bleeding extremely heavily, and need oxygen as much as food. The rain keeps pounding when the Giganotosaurus takes a large bite out of the Ekrixinatosaurus, and as he is swallows it, but it slowly goes down his throat because of its size, and the bone that the Giganotosaurus didn't know was in there. It is now starting to restrict air flow, and the fact that it is raining heavily, bringing water into his lungs as much as air, and his extreme exhaustion and heavy blood loss, the huge Giganotosaurus starts becoming dizzy and seeing spots. Everything is starting to turn black for the Giganotosaurus, and finally, he collapses. In a few minutes, he is dead. The battle with the Ekrixinatosaurus was just too much for him, and he sustained to much damage, that he couldn't keep going. He lead a good long life though, and finally fell at an old age and a massive size.
The death of these giants did not go to waste. A large pack of Mapusaurus ate most of the Giganotosaurus, and some Aucasasaurus came and ate what was left of the Ekrixinatosaurus. These dinosaurs scattered the bones, and left little to find. Even with this disturbance, 100 million years later, DinoFights's sister dug up this battle scene depicting this battle, and how it ended in the death of one of the largest predatory dinosaurs ever known.
