Season Finale of Clash of Giants First, a short tribute to the winners of the previous fights... The fighters are: Acrocanthosaurus and Astrodon! Acrocanthosaurus At 36-40 ft long and 2.5-3.5 tons, Acro was the biggest predator in all of Early Cretaceous N. America. [img]http://www.wikidino.com/wp-content/uploads/Acrocanthosaurus-tavari.jpg[/img] Astrodon This 60-70 foot long, 25-30 tons behemoth had little to fear, except Acrocanthosaurus that is. [img]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/6/6d/Astrodon1DB.jpg/800px-Astrodon1DB.jpg[/img] Fight A lone Acro is tracking the scent he picked up. He recognizes it as Astro scent. As he enters a field, he sees them. A pair of giant Astros. He surveys the battlefield to be. At one end is a large lake and some trees. At the other, a sheer drop of 300 ft. The Acro rushes in. He puts himself between the two giants. One Astro heads for the relative safety of the lake. The other would love to do that as well, except for the fact that a 5,000 lb predator is blocking his way. The Acro hisses much like a modern crocodile. He begins to circle the giant herbivore. Acro charges in and attacks the sauropods flank. With his deadly combo of teeth and claws, Acro inflicts serious injuries in a short amount of time. The Astro shoves the attacker into the ground with his body. This breaks a few of the Acro's spines. Acro roars in pain. He lunges in but the Astro deflects the attack with a swing of his tail. The Acro gets back up and tries a new method. He runs right in front of the herbivore and as he does, lashes out with his hand claws. This leaves a series of painful cuts on the front of the Astro's front legs. The sauropod begins to flee. The Acro gives chase. He easily catches up to the giant and actually leaps on his back! It's the world's first rodeo, except this rodeo ends in death. The Astro bucks and shakes, but can not get the Acro off his back. Meanwhile, the predatory Acro slashes with his teeth and claws, creating painful injuries. The titans are so engrossed in the fight, they don't notice how close they have wandered to the cliff edge. By the time they do, it's too late. The Acro and Astro look down and see the ground beneath them give way. The two giants fall 300 ft to their deaths. For a while, the world is silent. Then slowly, life returns to normal.
