Giganotosaurus vs Argentinosaurus
Giganotosaurus
This was the biggest predator that ever walked S. America. At 43-46 ft long and 7-8 tons, Giganotosaurus was the unrivaled king of S. America. It's possible that they hunted in pairs or groups.

Argentinosaurus
At a staggering 100-120 ft long and 85-115 tons, this was perhaps the largest land animal ever! This dinosaur's main weapon would have been it's massive size.

Fight-
A pair of Giganotosaurus are on the hunt. They have not eaten in days and are in the mood for a big kill. The male catches the scent of what appears to be a large sauropod. He immediately follows the trail with the female following closely behind. At last they find the source of the scent. A large Argentinosaurus is browsing on some trees. The male rushes in and takes on the argentinosaur head on. He is not trying to attack however. It's simply a distraction. The female comes in from behind and leaps on the left flank of the sauropod. The gigantic herbivore bellows in pain as she slashes with her claws and bites with her long teeth. The male giganotosaur also joins in. He rushes in and bites the argentinosaur's back left leg. The female jumps off and as she does this, the herbivore launches a counter-attack. He swings his tail and smashes the male giganotosaur, breaking 2 ribs and a few vertebrae. The male goes flying and smashes into his own mate, which breaks 1 of her ribs. The pair stand up to assess the situation. The argentinosaur attempts to flee, but the male attacks again. This time, he goes for the right flank. He performs what most would call the slash and dash. He rushes in at speeds in excess of 20 miles per hour and bites or claws the sauropod and then he jumps away. The argentinosaur is bleeding heavily now. As the male charges again, the titanic herbivore performs the deadliest move he has. The argentinosaur simply, rolls over. The male giganotosaur has no time to react. The last thing he sees, is 115 tons of dinosaur collapsing on him. The Argentinosaurus gets up and reveals the crushed body of it's rival. The argentinosaur moves on. The female walks over to her fallen mate. She growls softly in an effort to "wake him up." Once she realizes he is dead, hunger and the will to live overcome her and she eats her fallen mate. As for the Argentinosaurus, he will find his own mate and start a herd of his own. He will live on to ripe old age and die at the age of 150. Coincidentally, the day he dies is on the 100th anniversary of the titanic battle that took place on the plains of South America so many centuries ago.
Winner- Argentinosaurus

While he sustained injury, the argentinosaur won simply because, in the world of the dinosaur, bigger is better.
Next time on Clash of Giants
Carcharodontosaurus was Spinosaurus' only rival. He was capable of attacking whatever he wanted. However, Africa was a land of giants, and sometimes, Carcharodontosaurus had to be careful about who he attacked. The sands of Africa will never see another battle like this when Carcharodontosaurus goes head to head with Paralatitan.

First, could Giganotosaurus jump? They were much more heavily built than Allosaurus and, thus, may not have been able to jump.
Second, isn't only two vs Argentinosaurus a mismatch? A think that their normal pack hunts would include at least five members. However, as always, I enjoyed the fight and look forward to the next! :)

MemberCompsognathusJul-02-2013 12:25 PMThe jumping was one of my creative additions. As for the pair of giganotosaurs, I wanted to do something a little different than the usual massive gang. Like my first fight, I wanted this one to be an example of how the herbivore can win too. Glad you liked it.

MemberCompsognathusJul-02-2013 1:09 PMEven though Giga is heavy, it has very powerful legs, and could probably still jump fairly well. It was a good fight, when I saw there was only two gigas, I changed from giant to gianter.
Hi

MemberCompsognathusJul-02-2013 6:13 PMGood fight, and definitely these guys are like allosaurs with steroids. On the other hand, and probably off topic, sometimes I wonder how it could be a T.Rex vs. Sauropod battle ..because the bones of these herbivores seems thick and strong and teeth from the T.Rex don´t look so sharp as to cut meat easily.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexJul-04-2013 8:29 AMT-Rex's teeth are thick and strong, and are apparently for ripping out huge chunks of meat without falling out, but it is more accepted that they were for crushing bone.
Jack of all trades. Master of none
