MemberCompsognathusApr-20-2013 8:48 PMt-rex would win, it's bones were really thick and built for fighting, not to mention those powerful jaws with banana shaped sized teeth, Giganyosaurus was tough too but it's skeleton wasn't as strong, though it was defintley stronger than a spinosaurus's and it it had sharp teeth too used for slicing through flesh but not much for crushing when going in for a bite. Still, I'm sure it'd be a good fight.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexApr-21-2013 8:58 PMT.Rex would win most of the time for sure. It had the obvious bite advantage. I saw this one forum and a guy said that Giga would win because it's arms were bigger. I saw that and thought, are they having an arm wrestle of doom? (Loser dies, in case that wasn't obvious, no offence to people who wouldn't be aware of that, yes, I am Canadian). I would be a great battle to see in a movie (although it may be inaccurate), or in real life (from a plane or something that they can't reach).

MemberCompsognathusMay-17-2013 5:15 AM One on one, T-Rex would have a pretty good chance at winning, perhaps 60 or 65% of the time. However, given that Giganotosaurus was probably a pack hunter, a real run in would be in favor of the Giga pack.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexMay-17-2013 11:27 PMWell when it's a pack of Giga against a lone Rex obviously Giga has the advantage. One on one, T-Rex could judge distance, it was smarter, it had the bite force advantage, it would just be a great fight to see.

MemberCompsognathusDec-24-2013 12:00 PM@T-rex90, giganotosaurus was actually much more gracile in build than spinosaurus. Its skull was much less robust and its teeth were quite thin as opposed to thick and spike-like. It was designed for killing vertically (as it had a very deep rostrum), but not being adapted for gripping necessarily (unlike spinosaurus). Whereas spinosaurus had a much denser and more specialized snout to be able to effectively grip large fish and yet withstand the pressures brought upon by them.

MemberCompsognathusDec-24-2013 3:33 PMOh jeez!
First:giganotosaurus dont need huge bite force.its teeth are enough to made crytical damage without big bite force!
Second:if(an i say IF) the holotype giga(mucpv-ch1) was a juvenille or sub-adult it could become more robust and smarter.and the second giganotosaurus(mucpv-95) is just a lower jawpart so the god know that how big ,and strong was it really.

MemberCompsognathusDec-24-2013 4:19 PMJaw strength is not determined by tooth shape and function but rather the killing style of a certain animal. Allosaur dentition was designed to rip and cut as opposed to crush, but that does not mean that forces are completely absent in this regard, as one of the primary allosaur killing styles would be the utilization of their powerful necks and knife-like teeth alike to create a "hatchet" and cause a good deal of spinal damage caused by both the actual downward impact itself and the abrupt backward pulling following it. Allosauroid teeth were laterally compressed and serrated, perfect for this backward pulling. Unlike animals like spinosaurus (which had very erect and conical teeth perfect for impaling deeply) and tyrannosaurus (which had very thick and robust teeth that possessed serrations perfect for causing immense skeletal damage), allosaurs needed a strong bite force the least because most of the power in predation comes from their powerful necks and is irreliant on tooth, jaw, or snout strength (as allosaurs had, fundamentally, deep rostrums perfectly adapted for this downward killing tactic).

MemberCompsognathusDec-26-2013 6:40 PMWell both have short arms and bigger muscular bodies.....besides advantage of size the only way to figure this fight out is by determination and endurance
