AdminIndoraptorMar-07-2013 1:57 PMWith such an over abundance of Jurassic Park 4 rumors circulating around, you really have to look at the facts before considering some of them to be true. Today sees a new one, "Jurassic Park 4 returning to Isla Nublar", posted by some member over on the IMDB forum claiming that his co-worker visited the Kualoa Ranch in Hawaii and had this to say:
"My co-worker just returned from a vacation in Hawaii, and he said that his tour guide at Kualoa Ranch informed them that they are in talks to film a portion of JPIV on location at the Ranch.
Not much, but just thought I'd share."
Following this brief mention, a user over at the JPLegacy forums, called the Ranch and asked for clarification on the rumor, to which they were replied with:
"At the time we have no comment. Have a good day."
Now, just like Wikipedia and various other user-generated content sites, you need to be cautious and take what you read with a grain of salt. Not to mention, if Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver are sticking close to the novel for the fourth JP film, Isla Nublar was destroyed in the novel. So yeah...
Right off the bat, I doubt it. If you notice, not 4 days ago, Jurassic Park 4 Producer Frank Marshall commented on the rumors which had circulated the week prior, saying "there's no truth to those rumors".
Not to mention, looking back, Jurassic Park 3 director, Joe Johnston commented about the possibility of returning to the island (Sorna or Nublar) by saying this:
"Why would anybody go back to that island? It was hard enough to figure out the second and third reason for them to go, but it would take it off in a whole other trilogy basically, but when it gets to that level it’s sort of about studios and Steven’s thing and who knows."
Granted, I believe Johnston was referring primarily to Isla Sorna, not Isla Nublar in that interview, so I'm not completely discounting the rumor and ruling it out as fake, but I am very, very, very skeptical.
It seems anyone with a few minutes can post something on a message board, and it stirs up social media into a frenzy of speculation. Personally, I find this very irritating. I want some official leads, some credible news. So, I'm refraining from making this one a front page feature, but I thought I would mention it here so you guys don't catch wind of it and believe it to be legitimate.
As usual, I will update this thread and/or make a front page mention if we receive official word from either Frank Marshall, or Universal Studios regarding this matter.

MemberCompsognathusMar-07-2013 6:21 PMIt depends.
If you are trying to get the original cast to go back to these islands, than it is like pulling teeth. However, if you are in anyway creative, there are a lot of different ways you can get a new cast of characters to these islands, both A, B, or any of the other 5 death islands.
For instance, you could go the route of a rival bioengineering company - Biosyn - taking advantage of Hammonds death to send a team to Isla Nublar - perhaps under the idea the dinos there have died off and did not adapt to survive...which we all know would be untrue.
Or you go with a story of good willed researches to site B to observe and data collect the animals, spend the first half of the film just actual watching dinos, but then one of the researchers does something wrong, or doesn't prepare something properly and things go out of control. The film does not need to have good and bad guys in the classical sense.
Or, you go with the idea of a south american drug lord building his safe haven on island A, letting the dinos be a natural ward against any attempts at taking him - or to make it more intriguing, put it on site B as it has been declared a nature reserve in the movie time line, therefore military/government action cannot be taken.
These are just a few ideas, and I hope they steer clear from original cast simply for the sake of how do you get these people back to the islands. JP3 took a lot for Grant to go back, and really his motivation was purely money.
