AdminIndoraptorJan-05-2013 6:03 PMJurassic Park 4 is still a year away from release, and little news has come up regarding the film's progress in a long while. However, I don't think we should rush this project, as fans will agree with me - we want a solid Jurassic Park film with an enticing plot and believable characters. So, if the process takes a while, that's fine with me.
In the mean time however, we can speculate and discuss the possible aspects that may be present in the film. Below is a pic of the juvenile Male Tyrannosaurus Rex which fought the Spinosaurus in Jurassic Park 3.

Tyrannosaurus Rex - Jurassic Park 3

Since the release of Jurassic Park 3, our perception and knowledge of Dinosaurs has changed quite a lot, according to Paleontologist and Jurassic Park film consultant - Jack Horner. In recent interviews over the past two years, Jack Horner has mentioned that the Dinosaurs we will see in Jurassic Park 4 will look dramatically different than in previous Jurassic Park films. He also claimed that they have now discovered that most Dinosaurs were very colorful and had feathers.
Personally, I would not like to see a Tyrannosaurus Rex covered in feathers. To me, it would seem unrealistic. For smaller Dinosaurs, like Velociraptor I would be fine with, but not T-rex.
What do you think? Would you like to see Tyrannosaurus Rex covered in feathers in Jurassic Park 4? Or would you prefer him to remain more lizard-like? Assuming of course, T-Rex is in Jurassic Park 4 (which I do so hope he is).

MemberCompsognathusJan-07-2013 3:54 AMif it actually did have feathers.... you'll notice large birds like emu's and ostrich arent the fanciest feathered birds.
i figured if the t rex did have feathers it would look similar to those large flightless birds and not have very ornamental feathers or coloring. or more like a vulture or a condor.
personally id love to see smaller dinos like different types of raptors look more like "birds of paradise". who knows what silly feathers and mating dances some of them could have had.

MemberCompsognathusJan-07-2013 8:35 PMMaybe feathers on the raptor, that would be cool! Tyrannosaurus is fine without them.
They should add some markings to tyrannosaurus though

AdminIndoraptorJan-09-2013 10:45 PMI agree, feathers would look odd on T-Rex. However on Velociraptor, might look cool!
