Colin Trevorrow has unveiled the long-awaited project Jurassic World: Battle at Big Rock! Battle at Big Rock is a short film based in the Jurassic World universe and was directed by Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow himself - who is also returning to direct Jurassic World 3! Below are the first images, details and images of the short film!
Battle at Big Rock is an 8-minute short film which takes place one year after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom at the Big Rock National Park. Dinosaurs are now running wild and free in the real world - not confined by cages or secluded on islands. The short film follows a small family of four who are caught in the middle of the breakout event and must fight for survival. Battle at Big Rock will debut on FX and online September 15th!
Official images of the short and interview with director Coline Trevorrow have also been debuted online, courtesy of Collider. Check out the images below:
Universal asked if I’d be interested in making a short film and I didn’t give them any time to reconsider. I wrote it with Emily Carmichael, who is co-writing Jurassic World 3. It felt like a first step into a larger world after the last film. You have these animals loose in an unfamiliar environment, they’re disoriented, struggling to adapt. The first people they run into are bound to be camping. I wanted to see that.
There are two species we’ve never seen before. The Nasutoceratops, which is a beautiful herbivore that feels like a Texas Longhorn. And the Allosaurus, one of the most iconic dinosaurs of all time. This one was a juvenile in the last movie. She’s all grown up now.
