The park management simulation video game Jurassic Park Evolution was released this past week for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Developed and published by Frontier Developments, the game allows players to build and manage a theme park of their dreams, populating it with hordes of their favorite Dinosaurs, each of which is modeled and animated beautifully. The game has received positive reviews from reviewers such as IGN and GamesRadar, but does the game have the longevity and depth to keep management simulation and Dinosaur fans content once the novelty of the first few initial plays wears off.

To best answer that question we need the opinion of a seasoned gamer who has played the game for a long enough period of time. As such let us turn to Twitch streamer, YouTube gamer and Yogscast alum Chris Lovasz, better known as Sips (pictured above). Sips was given early access to Jurassic World Evolution, of which first streamed the day before the release of the game. Playing the game for approximately 30 hours over the following four days Sips played through the game's campaign, unlocking most of the games available content. From the beginning of Sips' Twitch stream dated June 15th (in which he returned to playing colony management simulation RimWorld) he commented retrospectively about Jurassic World Evolution:

"...It's a pretty good game, but it just feels like after about twenty hours, or so - for some people much less, you've pretty much done everything there is to do and it gets a little bit samey, and stuff. It seems like, it's promising right. I think if they add some more stuff to it it'll be good. There's a couple of things that I thought maybe the game didn't need. Like some of the stats of the Dinosaurs are a bit dumb. Also the fact they die of old age, I would just take that out of the game. I don't think the Dinosaurs should die of old age. I think when you're done with a Dinosaur, or you wanna replace a Dinosaur, then just sell it; don't have them die of old age, 'cause it's just kinda annoying. There's a lot of things in the game that just feels like there's not enough to do, so they just want you to click on stuff. But I think it'll get there after a couple of patches. It'll probably be pretty good"

Sips' Jurassic World Evolution streams can be found on his Twitch channel.

With different parks on different islands, each representing unique challenges Jurassic World Evolutions campaign tasks players to turn around the fortunes of each of the aforementioned parks, with new Dinosaurs and structures unlocked as rewards. The game also features a sandbox mode in which players can create their dream Jurassic Park.

Based in Jersey, a small British Island situated in the English Channel between the UK and France, 38-year-old gamer Sips streams most days on Twitch from his garage to an average of around four thousand viewers, to whom he communicates with throughout his streams. Though typically a relaxed gamer, vegetarian Sips has been known to get "salty" when frustrated, usually to great comedic effect.

Any fan of Operation Genesis, will love this too.  New content, harder/longer progression, new interactions. I've waited a long time for this.

I really loved when sips played this game when it first came out, I’d love for dad to play it again so we can all watch. It’s definitely up there in my favourite series from the live channel alongside Frostpunk, Subnautica and CK2.
