hi man! if you were asking i am still alive, i just got busy and a new computer which works as s... i don't i will be able to post something :/ maybe I will quit...pleasure talking to you and keep making nice posts as this one.
Well, I knew how to pronounce a lot of dinosaurs names when I was 5 years old and my first big word I spelled was Jurassic and Dinosaur. So I pretty smart if autistic seven year old...when it came to dinosaurs at least in other things, I was meh.
Yeah, Dinosaurs were all I could think of back then.
^Yes, but you were more mature at the time. You couldn't help it. 11 year olds are smarter than most people give them credit for. 7 year olds...not as much :P
I grew up on Jurassic Park original when I was 4 years old and I was 7 years old when The Lost World: Jurassic Park came out. I was 11 years old when Jurassic Park III came out. I was as much as a dinosaur fanatic as probably you are back then.
I really loved T. rex as well as the Velociraptors and the Dilophosaurus (my favorite Therapod) but to see T. rex being killed off in such an unrealistic way pissed an 11 year old me.
S.aegyptiacus could probably somewhat walk on land.
@Xenotaris, when you're a 7 year old dino-fanatic born that couldn't care less when people are talking in the movie, you're going to love JP3 more than the other two. Remember, even if you think you know a lot about dinosaurs when you're that age, and if OTHER PEOPLE say the same thing, you really don't. So I wasn't ticked off about JP3's Spinosaurus when I was that little. To me, I was amazed. To think, there's a theropod that's bigger, stronger, and MEANER than a T.rex?!?! I loved it! Only when I matured more did I see the problems with the movie, but never did I end up disliking the Spinosaurus, true animal or JP canon.
What do you 7 year old kids know, right?
Hmmm maybe they are miniature Indominus rexes as hinted by Gomer Pyle...I mean...Hoskins.
Spinosaurus the animal, I could see being very comfortable in the water and due to its larger size would probably fare better in the water to alleviate its weight. Since Spinosaurus is carrying around that large sail which would make it top heavy on the land.
^concur but imo there is no king of the dinosaurs
How could Jurassic Park 3 be better than Jurassic Park original or The Lost World? As a devout Jurassic Park fan, that's heresy!
Also, Tyrannosaurus is so much more powerful than Spinosaurus, I hated it when that fish eater killed the true king of the dinosaurs.
I don't hate Spinosaurus the animal, but as for Jurassic Park dinosaurs go... I hate the Jurassic Park Spinosaurus for being OP.
Yeah, saw nobody was mentioning the first and second dinosaur discovered.
^Those two probably changed the most out of any dinosaur.
I was hoping to see Iguanodon and Megalosaurus on this list.
DRACONUS - I enjoyed this presentation quite a lot! The different pairings you displayed were extremely neat! Thank you ever so much for taking the time to share this with us! :)
DRACONUS - This was an exceedingly interesting presentation! I can not wait to see what Mankind will "reenvision" dinosarus to appear as in the next ten or twenty years. Who knows? Perhaps you will look back upon our "modern" ideas of dinosaurs and think we were foolish to believe what we do now! :)
^They've changed a lot, but not enough to make it on top 5
(No dromaeosaurs?)
I agree with a lot of the points stated, but Alphadino already listed all the points I disagree with.
^Yeah. Spino went from a sail-backed rex to a hyper-carnivore to a piscivorous crocoduck.
^Tyrance also actually had parents and siblings, which helped him become an alpha-predator.
From lumbering reptiles to fast moving feathered giants, pretty amazing.
Agreed. Tyrance was born gifted with extreme strength and size for his species, that he uses responsibly--but he's never had a problem with dealing with other animals. Tyran however, hasn't even been taught how to hunt, and is thrown into a world on the verge of extinction.
^Oh yeah, Tyran's up there for me too. While Tyrance destroys everything with brute force, Tyran is more of an underdog.
^I think they found bumps on its back and tail that may have held the quills. 20 tons may be a fanboy estimate, but I got it from this chart:

Thank you KotM. Yeah I changed Claw and Difference's species because it fit better with the time-frame of The End. My five favorite characters are Tyrance, Nequit Dominum, Egypt, Tyria, and Tyran.
Those thagomizers would still inflict serious injury to T.rex.
Where is the evidence for quills on Triceratops? We only have phylogenetic bracketing to suggest this theory, based on irrefutable evidence from Psittacosaurus. The only irrefutable evidence related to this theory is that there were large scales between smaller ones.
Tuft Love's Rex would not gotten much longer if said specimen reached adulthood. Heavier yes, but not much longer. See my comment on the topic on this specimen.
Paleontologists are still unsure whether Saurophaganax and Epanterias are valid genera, or if they're just much larger specimens of Allosaurus fragilis. And the hatchet-bite theory, while interesting, may not actually be valid. Just because the skull could absorb high magnitudes of maxillary force, doesn't necessarily mean that it did bite down on prey the way it's shown. This video explains why, from 15:40-18:50. I'm also guilty of thinking about it that way in the past.
I have never heard, from a credible source, that Spinosaurus would have weighed 20 tons before Ibrahim et al's reconstruction. The highest estimate from said type of source was 12 tons. The 60 foot long estimate was from Jack Horner on an interview on the set of JP3 that was a part of the special features for the movie, but keep in mind that very little fossil evidence was still known, AND the JP3 crew only made that Spinosaurus 43 feet and 9 inches long, with the animatronic measuring 45 feet total, so they didn't even go overboard with Horner's hyped exaggeration.
Spinosaurus may not have even been an obligate quadreped. If it pulled its neck in, and raised its tail and torso, then its centre of mass would have shifted from its torso its knees, which is where it was for any theropod when in locomotion. And of course, there's Scott Hartman's criticism of Ibrahim et al's study, which states that the pelvis and hind limbs were too small in the study, which suggests that Spinosaurus' hind limbs, though still small for such a large therapod, were not as small as suggested.
^Some scientists think that Triceratops was partially carnivorous and I just facepalmed
^Btw my favourite characters are Tyrance, Egypt, Nequit, Maledictus, Claw, Tyria, Earth, Tyrantic, Tyranak, and Giganoctus.
That is what I said.
^Tyrani and Tyro are Tyran's parents. If you re-read part 1 of this story, the description of the mother matches Tyrani in Tyrants. And she left with Tyro.
I have finished reading The End, Tyrants, The End 2, and reread Lost in the End parts 1-4. My favorite was Tyrants. I liked how Tyrance's life was explored from when he was born to when he reclaimed Taghia-Sakhra from Tyrantic with the conflict between he and Tyrantic throughout, as well.
I also realized that Tyro and Tyrani from Tyrants are the parents of Tyran.
With The End, I preferred the canon ending, but for The End 2, I preferred the Mixed Ending. Maledictus Dominum was a good character, but I preferred Nequit Dominum more.
Overall, you did a very good job with your stories. Tyrants remains my favorite, and if I had to pick a character's death that was saddening, I would go with Tyrantic. He was a solid character and I enjoyed him very much.
^Modern dinosaurs>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>old dinosaurs
It's really interesting to see how we thought dinosaurs looked like in the past.
5. Microraptor
4. Achillobator
3. Velociraptor
2. Utahraptor
1. Dakatoaraptor
Snake that is an amazing collection. I'll feature it for you
I would like to see the Dilophosaurus back too. Its a great mesopredator, adds that extra dimension of threat, lurking around.
^Thanks. Spinosaurus is next.
