So, Both Armies, Are fighting with dinosaurs...
Both are controlled by Humans...
Over---
Wait, This would make a pretty good stroy IDea...
Whos in the Armed Dinosaur Forces (The good guys, not hell bent on ruling the world?)
What! Why would Gojira2K join you! You will still never win!
Well, I would say why but then I would get some Rex fans trying to prove me wrong saying that I have to have sources, etc. I am honestly afraid to give my opinion when it comes to Rex and SPino.
In an actual combat Scenario?
In a place frozen in time, Where Pangea still exists, and somehow, Rex and spino live (Pangea breaking is kinda the reason they both exist)
Off the top of my head...
I'd say... And this is really rough... Maybe, 48 - 52, Spino Vs Rex...
Its me, Leutenant 9097, Private 93, Officer 2k, and Seargent Titan. There have been a lot of people joining on my side. And its organized to. There is several DIFFERENT armies on the side that we fight. However, its not unified. We have been dominating everyone else to.
Not bad, just bent on ruling the world with an iron fist and a crapload of dinosaurs.
do you have reasons why, 401?
Maybe the next bonus fight. I literally had the most epic Rex vs Horror Mouth fight idea ever.
Delta is on the bad side, Paden.
I think rex would win if it got its jaws anywhere that can break bone or deliver a fatal wound. if spino didnt get injured and was able to take its claws to make the rex die of blood loss it would win. Also rex had bacteria in its mouth. One bite will cause an infection
i rhink rex wins most of the time because of its weaponry
For us to destroy Scified, we would be destroying the basis of our power. Without scified, we are just normal people like you. We could however, take over Scified.
*Scoffs, Knowing it may not be true*
Okay...
WAIT...
We should organize, which sides there are... I'm confused...
Well, I just think Spino would win. Now by win I don't mean completely tear Rex apart into pieces, just simply beat Rex in a fight.
also, we are gonna drop this" both are dead, we never will know" thing...the point of this is to discuss what would happen IF they fought..
delta, do you have an issue with my post?
If its last man standing, then T. rex wins. Hands down. No contest. Spinosaurus was deab millions of years before T. rex was even born. So, T. rex was the lad one standing before it ever came into existence. That sounds right, right? No.
i never said this..
No animal wins hands down, 10/10 times any way 401. Finally, a spino fan enters the ring..
Great fight, and I like that idea Rex Fan. Lets to with upper estimates to make it fair. Another suggestion is 2 36 ft 4 ton Yangchuanosaurus vs a (veteran but not huge) T. rex. Like 8 tons of T. rex.
No animal can lean on one food item the entirety of it's life, those species would become extinct in a heartbeat.
Spino evolved into what it is to avoid competition with the large land based theropods it lived with (sauroniops, Bahariasaurus. Carcharodontosaurus..)
Like all spinosaurs, it's specialized for Fishing.
Your point on the crocodile is 100% correct.
They eat fish, have jaws suited perfectly for it, but they commonly eat zebra, wildebeast, Impala, etc.
Tyrannosaurus being a scavenger is still kicking for some reason...huh..
Delta, you can never say T-rex "Clearly wins." T-rex and SPino are both DEAD. Even all of the info we have on them, any day our info on how these creature lived could be proved wrong.
Well, I already told you my thoughta about this.
*Facepalms*
*Watches a Spinosaurus facepalm*
*Watches a T. rex attemp to facepalm and fail because his arms are too short*
If its last man standing, then T. rex wins. Hands down. No contest. Spinosaurus was deab millions of years before T. rex was even born. So, T. rex was the lad one standing before it ever came into existence. That sounds right, right? No.
Lets just say thfew more wars have been fought about this than anything else in the history of the planet. To quote somebody, maybe Paden, maybe Rex Fan, "Your beating the dead horse," or should I say, tsake dead theropods. Stop this madness right now. Unbiased no BS my......
What I find funny, Is people can't take it when their told, "Spino Ate a fair amount of fish" But rex fans can take "Rex was a scavanger"
I think both statements hold truth, And lies...
Nothing evolves the way it does, for no reason, I'll admit, the fish were pretty damn big back then... But, a dinosaur wouldn't grow THAT big to hunt fish on down in the Crik... (Spino Probably did hunt some fish... BUT, do crocs eat just fish?)
Nor would won grow that big to scavange... (Rex probably did scavange, But, It wouldn't grow that big to fend off a scavanged kill...)
-Paden
indeed Something real, most predators it lived with were much smaller then it. Te othe rTyrannosaurus' though, that's an entirely different issue.
We have fossil evidence of Tyrannosaur face biting and some pretty gruesome wound that had...and hadn't... Healed, leaving their mark on the bones.

An animal that can take a bite from a Tyrannosaur is a tough animal indeed.
On the other hand, Spinosaurus lived with some huge predatory animals. All carcharodontosaurs, which were nasty in their own right. However, we have no evidence these animals ever confronted each other; it appears spinosaurus was mostly a fish eater. I've covered that in past topics, though.
I like your Unbiased "no bullshit" "Seriously guys, no BS" Spin on this...
Now, I've said this before, Comparing the two, There is, a tactical advantage to rex... It is more evolved, HOLD YOUR HORSES... I'm not bloody done yet!! There? good, Okay...
Spino lived 112 million years ago, to 97 million years ago...
T rex lived 65 Million years ago. 32 million years... is a Pretty long time...
Lets compare shall we?
Picture, A modren day destroyer (I'm not one for the navy, So If you don't know what it is, please google it...) Thats the T rex...
Now Picutre the USS missouri, Or another battleship. Good? picturing it? Thats gonna be our spino...
Now, The battleship, Strong well built... But primitive... The destoryer, Is cutting edge, Smaller, But can still pack one hell of a punch... More weapons, Smaller, But strong.
"Size matters not" -Yoda
Exactly...
The battleship, Can still fight, she was built to destroy and kill... She can win if she wants to...
The Destroyer, Is built to defend, and destroy... Better equipped, Some flaws...
The battleship, looks like a winner, right off the bat. However, She is old, She's missed years to evolve (32 million to be exact) By the time all her guns ahve fired and reloaded (One 900 pound shell, 12 MAIN GUNS, 24 smaller battarys)... The destroyer had already delieverd 42 shots from her main battery, 6 Surface to air Missiles, and blasts from many other guns...
4/10 Battleship wins.
4/10 Destroyer wins.
2/10 They sink each other.
The thing is, They're evenly matched... just like rex and spino, What spino lacks in weaponry, she makes up for, in brute strenght and integrity. What rex lacks in size, she makes up for, In force, and weapons...
One day, We should just respect these beasts, for who they are, Not what we want them to be...
They would've never met... just like the destoryer and battleship... The destroyers ancestors could not have taken her on (Thats for another day)... But now, Destoryer can... But Battleships, are all but gone from the world...
Just like rex and spino, 'Cept Their both dead...
They lived on different continents and different times...
Lets just let, and let be... Respect the beasts, Peacefully discuss them...
And enjoy, what the earth created, Years before man...
Well put SOMETHING REAL!, but ya what something real said.
Monsters Resurected makes the JP franchise look like a documentary if you ask me. I wouldn't be surprised if Spino was capable of lifting sonothing in the 600 pound range.
Man kind always blows these things out of proportion...
One day, We can just respect these beasts, And follow the facts laid down by the scientists, and not done by the crazy fan boys...
Sounds pretty damn good. Rex is the most heavily built carnivore in General, so it only makes sense that it is the heavier of the two, and likely the heaviest theropod.
Hasbro, If I remember correctly, Either bought out kenner, or works with kenner for JP...
The last set of toys released came out... A year ago, in april, For JP-3D.
Hasbro owns the G.I. Joe toy franchise, The last JP sets (With dinosaur and human) Came out with JP Joes... However, keeping true to kenner, the repaints from JP3 were available for sale individually with a baby dinosaur.
Now, Little has been released about the new JW series, WE DO, however, believe we may be seeing some models from the cancelled 2013 line.
(This includes a hummer, A trike, and a few other items...)
I believe, with the new film, Marketing has already started, so... Sometime in july, to december we may see the first new series come out.
Now, The "JP joes" I imagine, since the first time we've actually seen them come out was last year, were a test series. I have no problem with the "Original" style, limited movement ones, However. Children today, prefer realism, More moving points in the figures... Yadda yadda... I believe, Jp Joes, was a test... More of those sold, because they were more appealing, I think we'll be seeing more Joes, And less Kenners...
However, For individual packs, (With one human and a dinosaur) We may very well see (still) The old fashioned Kenner styled ones... Minus all the cool vehicles and such...
Thanks for your concern in merchandising... I think it should be a bit more adressed... I use JP Toys , for most my Info aswell...
It hasn't been updated in almost a year now...
Cheers!

Darnit...
Washintons on the other side of canada and down...
BLAST!!!
(If only I lived in ottowa...)
Monsters Resurrected lives up to its title. It doesn't bring dinosaurs back to life, only monsters, and in a worse way than Jurassic Park with all it's genetic alterations.
While the strength in Spinosaurus' arms would have been off the charts, it would not have been so strong as to lift up a fully-grown Rugops.
The Carch and Sarcosuchus confrontations and outcomes could be possible. Spinosaurus could have shredded a Sarcosuchus, but the Sarcosuchus would have to be almost dead (or severly wounded) to start with to allow a Spinosaurus to inflict that kind of damage to its tough hide. And, a Carch could be killed by one blow from a Spinosaurus' swipe, but the Spinosaurus would have to be very lucky to hit the Carch's skull in the right place.
But Monsters Resurrected over-emphasized Spinosaurus' strength and deligitamized the prowess of other creatures at all the wrong times.
Also, Spinosaurus did not have opposable thumbs, so it couldn't have picked up such a large item in it's hands to start with.
sadly, these kind of documentaries try too hard to get their beloved animal out there. Oversizine, and exaggeration played a large role in how that episode- and the series in general- played out.
Now, for the hypothetical 7ft arms, i base my estimations off of suchomimus, who appeared to have some substantial arms on it.

Rather skinny actually, with some wicked looking claws. My estimates put lifting strength of the suchomimus at around 300 lbs, which is impressive. You try lifting three hundred pounds off the ground...
But, with Spinosaurs, they most likely did not need a whole lot of arm strength. Their wicked claws and jaws did the business for them. Spearing a fish (or small herbivore) and throwing it on the ground, before slaughtering the animal.
My best guess is spino had a lifting strength of around 550 lbs.
Hey! I'll join this rebellion. I own a Utahraptor, a teleathic pterosaur with mind controlling powers, and six guns.
(P.S. I'm working on a sub atomic laser cannon and cyborg dinosaurs.)
54 seconds and (I assume) about 40% chance survival. It's easier when you have a Utahraptor, some guns, and a telepathic pterosaur friend.
(Now, who wants to help me lead a rebellion against Delta's army?)
This should be interesting...
