As many of you know, Utahraptor is my favorite dinosaur, so naturally I I have to go with it. Going with raptors, next will be Balaur, but if we include Troodonts (or hypothetical Troodonts) then Bradycneme takes the cake at my fourth favorite dinosar f all times.

Utahraptor, mostly definitely. His is the biggest Raptor and looks closest to the Raptors in Jurassic Park.

EVERYONE - Doesn't Saurophaganax roughly translate to "The greatest eater of reptiles"? I've read a few articles concerning the animal and that always seems to be the meaning of its name. :)

If carcharadontosaurids are counted, then I will go with Giganotosaurus.  It's just the biggest and baddest of them all.

Ties for 2nd is Allosaurus and Saurophaganax.  I cannot forget The Ballad of Big Al, BBC did a great job with the design.  And in that show, it had Allosaurs reaching T.rex lengths, so I'm thinking that maybe Saurophaganax wasn't supported too much in terms of having enough evidence to be determined to be a different genus of allosaurid.

Utahraptor by a longshot!  It not only combined the usual traits of agility, speed, and intelligence of other raptors, but it had the size and strength that put it well ahead of other dromaeosaurs.  It was the T.rex of raptors!

Was rooting for Utahraptor, but then again, nature has it's way with anything caught in the way, no stopping it.

Ssuronhaganax is cool, but my fav has still got to be Epanterias, one reason is because that its name was easy to pronounce;)

*whispers to everyone* saurophaganax is way better.

Even at that. Many estimates for T.rex(often credited with the most powerful bite) range between 3-23 tons psi, but often center around 5-7 tons.

Utahraptor, why? Because its a >20 ft hypercarnivore

Done this kind of list before myself. I'll be honest, I find many of these extremely high.

None of these compare to the whopping 80 ton bite force that is Godzilla's.

I assume this isn't finished. Future reference, post when it's done.

PS- I wouldn't exactly call Ornithelestes a powerful rival, lol

TYRANT KING - What a fun topic! Hmm, I'd have to go with either Giganotosaurus or Saurophaganax! Both were extremely interesting theropods! :)

REX FAN 684 - Hmm, this is a very interesting topic! I'd have to say my favorite "raptor" is either the deinonychus or the Utahraptor. Both were incredibly amazing and agile animals - perfectly suited to the niche within which they arose! :)

Pretty big variety of favorites here. In my raptor post, almost everyone was partial to Utahraptor, haha

haha, well yes Utahraptor is more robust in proportions, and was overall a probably more lethal animal. austroraptor was rather specialized to hunt small animals, medium sized herbivorous dinos
