I'm one of the few here who like CGI more than live-action, so...
There is just a mind-numbing amount of things that are deemed impossible by live action standards, which would take one or two good hours of work to make them into perfect CGI scenes.
i couldnt do it.
Im ashamed to say that the video has now been watched by my self.
Loved everything. Yes that raptor stance did look very close to the originals from JP1 when it looked to about to pounce well thats what i thought but u can see its new footage , which makes this even better.
screw you tamed raptor haters!!!!!! looks like an epic scene i cant wait to see in HD.
Regarding the Drex , chasing scene looked class, I just hope this super hybrid is good. I dont want it to make the TREX look boring. I hope the REX can show why its still the main dude of the franchise not just an extra dino in the park. If that was the case it still wouldnt change my mind on this being the best movie ever released, which i believe it will !!! :)
Boy can dream though.
Erectopus is more agile and can catch up with the lion then bite the lion's side and tear of a chunk of flesh while holding on to him with big, powerful arms and large claws. The lion would try to shake free but it would only make things worse by pushing the claws deeper inside and making the teeth cut more and more. Then it will stop biting and unhinge its jaw and bring it's upper maxilma down with 500 to 1000 pounds if force and take a Incredible chunk of flesh out and then dose it again but this time on the spine, it breaks the spine and cripples the lion. Erectopus roars, he is tbd new king of the jungle and begins eating the fallen adversary. He needs to eat to refuel his energy and help him heal his bad injuries.
Imagine being a criminal running from the law and as you look behind you see a pack of pissed torvosaurus (each of then weigheing 100 pound), coming at you at 35 miles per hour.
Was amazing vid! Gd news is that on top of that we now have a real gate instead of CGI.
I hope the rex dont act all pussy cos o the d rex i want the rex to remain the main dude!
Was class just to see it in moving pictures as appsed to images . the full 2 min trailer is gunna be out o this world in HD
Also got to point out, most animals happen to be reffered to as her or girl...Meaning they might do what the original park did, that means that lego Red Rex might be the Rex since the females are Red/brown...
I know right, so badass!
Also if you play-pause-paly-pause etc. at 31-34 seconds you see the D-Rex eat the worker and Owen run out the enterence were the scratch marks are on those pics of the enclosure...

Pics from earlier this year
Chris Pratt sounds so badass in that scene.
"Stand down girl!"
I swore that I would never use this cuz it sounds so dumb, but...
I JUST CAN'T EVEN!!!!
Enjoy it while you can, because Universal will take it down.

i know and it makes me incredibly happy
I want a Rex too. I have some special helpful purposes for the cute little guy.
That was so cool!!! Glad I was included!!!
YYYYYYEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!! Will help with funding.
Maybe some stories of people having DinoPets? Maybe those stories could be of us. Like I could have Spino and Something Real could have what she wants?
X_PADEN_X - That was exceptionally fun to read! I'm with GOJIRA2K: will there be more to this compelling storyline? Pretty pleeeeease? :)
GOJIRA2K - I'm funding the research NOW! MUST HAVE MICRORAPTORS! :D
@Something Real, I know!!!! They could stand on my shoulders like a parrot. This would be his meal regiment:
Breakfast: Ham
Lunch: Chicken
Afternoon Snack: Mealworms
Dinner: Bits of Steak
I want a male Microraptor, that's the right size to sit on my shoulders.
Haha, I get it. Not crushing teeth like the teeth of Rex, but not full on slashers either. Kind of a hybrid between crushing and slashing. That would be interesting to see just what teeth like that could have done.
As for the experience, of course it makes sense to use two that are of similar experience, but the question is how much experience.
If they are both rather new to fighting large predators, neither will have a clue what to do, and they'll probably awkwardly bite, lunge and slash.
If both have decent experience, it'll be an interesting battle, both having an idea on what to do, but not having the experience to know exactly what they want to do.
If both have a ton of experience, one of the best battles you'll ever see.
I see that it's teeth were more blade like. Perhaps it didn't have the bone shattering seven ton bite force of its larger cousin, but a three ton bite would have been sufficient for animals similar in size to Tarbo, and with slashing teeth, it would have caused a lot of bleeding. It may not have crushed bone easily, but it could easily rip through flesh, causing its opponent to die of blood-loss rather quickly if a good bite was made. Same goes for Oxalaia controlling a similar sized predator by biting its neck because it has to be well placed.
My bad, i didn't clarify much. Tarbo's teeth are suited for crushing, but not nearly to the extent that Tyrannosaurus possesses.
Also, like any battle, it would come down to experience. An experienced Tarbo vs a younger or less experienced Oxalaia, Tarbo has an edge. If it's two experienced individuals, they may know what they're up against and both back off, or a battle of epic proportions ensuing
Shouldn't we use two animals that are equally as experienced to even this out? I think that's the most applicable here
The lion is going to keep its distance while trying to pinpoint a weakness of the allosauroid. Despite the size advantage Erectopus has, that's basically the only advantage it has here.
Anyway, Erectopus was probably under 200kg.
Allain estimated the mass at ~200 kilograms but noted Erectopus as a "dimunitive, gracile carnosaur"
The lion we should use here is populations in Rhodesia, Kalahari and Kruger Park averaging around 190 kg.
Allosaurs in general weren't very good at taking on small prey. A lion shorter overall, is going to be a difficult target for Erectopus to grab with its jaws. Being an allosauroid, it's jaws don't expend a great deal of pressure. Yes, they possess serrated teeth but what good does that do when you're facing an opponent that isn't sticking around to get attacked?
I see that Tarbo was thinner than Rex, and I see that it's teeth were more blade like.
Obviously, yes, the forelimbs would be important and could possibly give Oxalaia an edge, as would the sail for the purpose of bluffing, but that sail would likely also be a target if it gets to the battle phase. Usually, a fight would consist of intimidation attempts, where, I'll admit it, Oxalaia had a bit an edge with the sail.
Also, like any battle, it would come down to experience. An experienced Tarbo vs a younger or less experienced Oxalaia, Tarbo has an edge. If it's two experienced individuals, they may know what they're up against and both back off, or a battle of epic proportions ensuing.
In light of the trailer going online in about (exactly) 3 Days from 7 PM (where I am), I feel this is necessary...
Same here Fact Dude, same here...
MUST... RESIST... URGE... TO........ WATCH!
But I am the boss, you really shout get me a t.rex.
DAMN IT, SHUT UP!!! IM ALREADY EAGER ENOUGH TO WATCH IT, BUT IM NOT GONNA CRACK LMAO!
Personally I don't think I could sleep at night wih a carnivorous dinosaur roaming my house, no matter how small.
They'd make one hell of a guard dog though
I know!!! I watched all of it. It looks amazing!
Saw the 5 seconds of the video but quickly closed, because I want no spoilers, even for the trailer itself. But the few seconds I saw WERE AWESOME.
Funny. Can I order some raptors, please? I just want to "show" them to a couple of, eh, friends at school...
^^ We sell different variations of different dinosaurs. However, we're out of fluffy Rexes, as they escaped a couple hours ago. We're still dealing with them. :T
GOJIRA2K - *gasp* MICRORAPTORS! They'd be absolutely darling! :D
I'm alright if bits are spoiled.
But, Jeez, It does look fairly nice, Even though what you provided was kinda poor quality, I still enjoyed them...
My hype is just...
Through the roof...
