Keep in mind the megaraptora represent primitive tyrannosauroids and could have radiated south before Pangea seperated the whole way(island hopping and such).

And originally, Megaraptor was only known by the large claws. However, based on the discovery of a front limb and it's cousin Austrolavenator, scientists have been able to piece it together. Then, in 2014, they described a juvenile specimen...

@VIRTUALVEL- That's a Great Idea, Dino riddle Will be cool, and that is awesome

@RAPTOR-401 - I believe the Riddle's answer is Spinosaurus.

Nice list, i thought for years that Megaraptor and it's kind were Allosaurs, like Giganotosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus...... Nice to see Tyrannosaurus in south, but it might not be as Powerful as The Abelisaurid or Allosaurid of the South. but to be sure, how the hell did Tyrannosaurus gets to south america ?? are they theory's.

@LOPSQUID - Yeah, but.... calling it Predator X is way Cooler Than Pliosaurus - Now let me ask, is it way more awesome to call it Pliosaurus or PREDATOR X.

@REX FAN 684 - You're right, i may exaggerated some but not Spinosaurus, it is true it's the largest predatory dinosaur on land, i saw a documentary about the discovery about Spinosaurus by a morrocon scientist, and according to the studies, Spinosaurus can grow to a monstrous size of 17-18 meter

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/ae/Largesttheropods.png

and if you wanna se more, check wikipedia..https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spinosaurus and it maynot be an evidence for Hatzegopteryx to eat small sauropod, but with a 10 foot long skull, who knew ?????, also i probably put perigrine Falcon on the list.

Well this is a cool idea... DInosaur Riddles...

"What is the one who walks among giants, sails across rivers, and is favorable to the areas fo water?"

Something like those would be fun to solve.

Aw I wish there was a third book. Oh well, guess I'll have to re-read the first and second again :D. Now I want to watch the second movie lol.

@Something Real

Speaking of getting off the computer and reading, what if we did this thing where lots of members read the first and or second book and then we talked about it. Or we could do that for the movies. You know kinda like a book club meeting type thing :P.

As far as Siats goes, Zanno and Makovicky placed it in the megaraptora in 2013.

Nice to be back(even if it is only for a little bit). I have another post I plan on doing sometime tonight or tomorrow, see keep on the lookout.

AlphaDino, Novas placed the megaraptora under the tyrannosaur family in 2012...

And a juvenile Megaraptor skeleton also sheds light on the relationship...

Who placed the megaraptors in the tyrannosaurid umbrella?  And I thought Siats was more acrocanthosaur/carchardontosaur?

Cool post, it is cool to think how in the past many groups of animals migrated and lived all over. Interesting how early humans made it all over the globe, too.

In addition to what Something Real said of there not being a 3rd Jurassic Park Book, I just wanted to say it was mainly because Crichton didn't like to do sequels (He was basically forced to write The Lost World by Spielberg, haha) and Jurassic Park 3 was made before he could even start, so he decided to never make another so he wouldn't cause confusion as well.

VIRTUALVEL - Sadly, there is not a third entry with regards to the Jurassic Park novels. However, the two we have are exceedingly neat and entertaining! You should definately take every chance you have to step away form the computer and indulge in a little reading - it is very good for you! :)

REX FAN 684 - Greetings! It is so very good to see you again! The information you have presented is exceptionally compelling! I had no idea that the Megaraptors were part of the Tyrannosaur family - how very neat! Thank you so very much for sharing this fascinating topic with us! Once again, it is very good to see you! :)

Oh, and if you wanna get technical, dinosaurs also hold the record for fastest animal of all time. AKA, the Peregrine Falcon, which can hit a top speed of 240 miles per hour.

Rex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumThe Mesozoic's Record Breaker

I like this idea, but you got quite a few things wrong...

Sauroposeidon is the tallest dinosaur ever and your info on Brachiosaurus is quite exaggerated

It's not really known with any certainty if Spinosaurus was the largest land predator(T.rex, Giganotosaurus, and Carcharodontosaurus are better contenders)

The claws of Therizinosaurus were actually around 3 ft long

There's no real evidence that Hatzegopteryx fed on small sauropods

The bite force of Predator X is not 25 tons and is exceeded by Megalodon and possibly even T.rex according to some studies(also, Shastasaurus is the largest marine reptile known from decent remains)

^SR you bring a very compelling arguement to the table. I don't think that any disease would be created due to the fact that it isn't a legitimate, "Dinosaur" in the sense that we are reverse-engineering instead of cloning, it would most likely carry all the same diseases that a Chicken would carry, so I highly doubt any disease will be created when they do reverse-engineer.

I agree and so far I am loving The Lost World. There are times I'm on the computer and I want to get off of it and read more of the The Lost World. Is there a Jurassic Park 3 book?

GORILLAGODZILLA - What a very neat concept! I, too, find the notion of de-extinction to be most compelling. However, I have reservations with regards to the actual implementation of such a startling process. Mankind, in my opinion, was never meant to recreate life - to wit, ancient mammals. Consider the negative side effects of reenginnering a life-form of which we know very little - most notably the microorganisms it might be carrying as a natural part of its physiology. The last thing our world needs is an unknown virus against which we have no immunity! Regardless, I believe de-extinction is a very interesting premise! :)

VIRTUALVEL - Oh, we all know Ian Malcolm can not be killed! Looking at the above posts, it would appear that your question has already been accurately and thoroughly answered. Regardless, I certainly hope that you enjoy The Lost World! Levine is such a twerp - but I adore him! ;)

Some things on this post are really inaccurate like calling Spino the largest land predator and calling Pilosaurus funkei Predator X.

Hi all!

I am Jurassic Unicast

My Favourite Dinosaur has to be the one and only T-Rex.

Jurassic Park 1 rules over all other. (closely followed by Jurassic World)

Something interesting about me....I have seen the actual T-rex leg used in Jurassic Park 1, I own a few original film cells from JP1 and the most interesting thing I have done is write a book about what happens after Jurassic Park 3 (this was before J World came out)

It is very cool to think about what awesome and previously thought as impossible will be done in the future of science.

I remember reading how cloning was pure Science Fiction and now it is possible (though legit extremely difficult for it to even be somewhat succesful.)

Wonder if they'll bring back the mammoth, passenger pigeon, extinct rams, and saber tooth tigers...

Now dinosaurs.

I agree with Sci-Fi King25. Having some dinosaurs would be cool. But can you get mods on PS4? Also Sci-Fi King25, I know a Minecraft multiplayer server on PC that has a dinosaur mod installed on the server if you're interested.

THAT'S AMAZING! I can't build anything like that in MineCraft.

Also, you should get the JurassiCraft mod and have some dinosaurs running around. :)

I'm still waiting for my mammoth. ;-;

Anyway, I agree with a random comment on the internet about what they'd be used for. We shouldn't bring back extinct animals just to put them in a zoo. We should learn from them, maybe set up preserves. Some animals could be released into the wild, like species extinct in the early 2000's.
