ALPHADINO65 - That was exceptionally neat! I am so very pleased that you have chosen to share this with us - and I am very much looking forward to the next! :)
Fantastic, really enjoyed it! Looking forward to the next one!
^I'm extremely glad you're happy with the ending! I attempted to make the story very poetic in certain parts, I'm so glad it was able to give you nostalgia of those films!
This is a very nice ending GorillaGodzilla, I'm happy for such a nice ending. I was reminded of Moses looking over the Holy Land at the end of the Exodus story when Tyrance went up the hill. Doesn't matter if you believe in the Bible or not, but when you picture a scene like that, especially seeing it movies like The Ten Commandments (both the 1956 and the 2007 versions, it is really pleasing to see.
^There actually are skeletons of a Tyrannosaurus Rex, Deinonychus, and a Allosaurus at the museum of Natural History in New York. So glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome ending! When you said Tyrance had saw the sun for a minute there I thought he was in heaven. Before I saw the aftermath I was going to make the joke that since you make this story we'll see dinosaurs in a few hours xD. Also in the aftermath was it true that their skeletons were in museums or was that just for the story? I can't wait to see what you'll come up with next :D.
This was great! I love how you told this scene from the alpha female raptor's view. Please make more ^-^!
Took me a while to guess the scene, but I loved how it showed the caring side of raptors.
I know, I guessed it was the alpha female. Well don't worry, I'm sure as you go along you'll find more ideas, I had few ideas for A Day In the Life of a Dinosaur, but I still have other ideas.
@Raptor-401, you got it! This is that scene told through the eyes of the alpha female. I do plan on doing more, but I don't know how far to go. I only have 2 good ideas left.
I recognized this as the scene from Jurassic Park 3 when the raptors catch up with Grant's party and take the stolen raptor eggs back.
You did a good job, if you do more it'll be cool to see what other scenes you do.
This was a good chapter, looking forward to the finale.
Finally I saw Nequit Dominum die, was waiting for that demon to die!
GORILLAGODZILLA - Yay! :)
^Thanks guys, and we aren't done yet! We have one final chapter!
GORILLAGODZILLA - That was a phenominal end to your story! I very much enjoyed the amount of destruction and carnage that you included in this final addition! Though it needed to be destroyed for its own sake and the sake of the world, I still felt somewhat sad that Nequit Dominum was slain. Regardless, thank you ever so much for having taken the time to produce this fantastic series for our enjoyment! :)
This was great! There are two things that amaze me here, how good these are and how long they are. I agree with @Alphadino65 with the four dinosaur attack thing. I'm a little sad Egypt died but he did good. I can't wait for the next one!
^Thank you.
Nice chapter. This goes for 'em all, not just this one.
^Thank you so much! I actually have been thinking of this story since February, I have had the whole idea and this fight was always going to happen, so glad I was able to imagine it onto writing that is pleasing to the eyes. Chapter 7 the final chapter will be on Friday, going to give this time to sit.
FINALLY ND dies!!! Took long enough. If someone that deranged gets into combat and dies, there was no choice.
This is definitely my favourite chapter. A T.rex and Spinosaurus, which some indirect help from an Allosaurus and a few Mapusaurus made for a great idea! Inspiration from Jurassic World?
GORILLAGODZILLA - WOW! That was vicious! I greatly enjoyed this chapter and am looking forward to the next! SUNDAY?! But I want it now! Hahaha! Thank you so much for continuing to share this excellent series with us! :)
"Don't worry JPCerato, Spinosaurus became my new favourite when I first saw JP3. T.rex was and will always be my default favourite, but to a 7 year old dino fan, any theropod that can take down a T.rex is a big deal :P"
*Facepalm*
With the new skeleton, I'm not sure how capable Spinosaurus was anymore. Not to mention, the Spinosaurus was GOING to be the new therapod for the movie anyway. No matter how strong/weak, fast/slow, or large/small the Spinosaurus was, it was going to kill dear old Timmy the Tyrannosaur no matter what. Any therapod could've taken it's place, like the originaly planned Baryonyx, and the same thing would've happened, so we're left to ask ourselves, outside of this partly fictional universe, who REALLY would've won? This is, of course, a debate for another day, but it's just something to think about. Food for thought, if you will.
^ Well, that's a good point JPCerato, but like Alphadino65 stated in his/her post that actually caught our attention in order to bring us to this thread, if there is no potential mate that lived with Rexy, there would be no need to change sexes. This actually brings me to my next point...
Alphadino65, what evidence supports that the Spinosaurus we saw in JP/// was the ONLY individual that existed on the island? We only saw three Tyranosaurs in The Lost World: Jurassic Park, but there is no way that with how much the herbivores have reproduced that the carnivores, especially with so much prey available, couldn't and/or wouldn't do the same.
This was cool to read, and very good for your first chapter!
Eric without a doubt.
As for weapons, here we go.
Main weapon: When simply walking and looking for means of survival, a shotgun of sorts. 12 gauge chambered for 3.5" rounds would be ideal, but 3" rounds would get the job done for most applications. I'd say a Remington 870 with a 20" barrel and folding stock. Factory, they have a 4+1 capacity (unless you get a tactical model, then it's 6+1).
Heavy: Your big gun. This SOB needs to be able to kill anything and everything you may run into. Close range, long range, doesn't matter, this weapon needs firepower. Barrett M107, the modern version of every COD players dream gun, the Barrett M82A1 (I want one too, TBH, but not because of COD). The M107 is semi automatic and comes with a 10 round magazine. Add one in the chamber, and you're looking 11 rounds of .50 BMG downrange as fast as you can pull the trigger. Ideally, a scope would be on the rifle (3-12x magnification for these purposes is plenty).
Other: Misc. weapons. A knife, maybe matches, other basic tools for survival.
I agree with both of you guys. Eric has proven to have the best survival skills. It would be an interesting dynamic, though, if there were no man-made items, on an island that no one has been on. I still think Eric would survive the longest, and let's not discount Kelly with her gymnastic ability ;) Lex depends on computers, and Nick and Gray are in an age of great technology-dependence, plus they needed the Jeep. Apart from his juvenile knowledge of dinosaurs, Tim is fresh meat.
I think the ideal team would be Eric and Zach. Zach is older and could at least have the muscle that the others don't have, and Eric is innovative. I think in this kind of survival situation you have to have stamina of both mind and body, which I think Eric and Gray both have.
But you're right @AlphaDino65, I wouldn't wish this terrible fate on anyone.
^I do leave cliffhangers a bunch xD! I hope you're excited for the final battle, it's pretty intense!
This was great! You would leave us on a cliff hanger lol. ALso #JurassicPark3
^I agree.
HOWEVER, Eric survived in a truck, and Kelly wasn't alone, along with Tim and Lex. Zach and Gray lasted a few hours before rescuing themselves with the Jeep. All of them had other people or man-made items to survive.
(Eric would definately survive though.)
@GorillaGodzilla, this is not meant to be a chapter. If this is to become a series, it would just be a collection of stories spanning the entire JP movie universe, which could include the time between JP3 and JW. But it's by no means a chronological tale.
^Thank you a lot! You will see soon what happens to Tyrance. Also, if you want to know more about ND I don't know if you have yet but you can read the second chapter to know more about Dominum. He does look a bit like Godzilla in the artwork lol.
Judging on past events, Eric would, with or without Kelly. 8 weeks on a dinosaur-infested island sounds improbable, but that's the storyline, and the improbable does happen. Eric knows what to do.
Answering this was difficult, not because I couldn't come up with my own answer, that was easy. It's because no one should ever be in these situations. They are too scary, too isolating, too much of everything bad. I don't wish it on anyone.
Glad to see a non-JP Spino vs T.rex fight done right: in context, and in fiction. It makes it a lot more fun :D
I do hope Tyrance makes it out ok. He doesn't have to kill ND YET, but hurt him just enough so that he'll leave the opening and won't give chase for a while.
Do you think ND is an ancestor of Godzilla? That drawing at the bottom of this post makes him look a lot like a Godzilla family member.
ha... nice, i think it could be good in Blue.
just an opinion
I know how you feel with the misspellings
um... Where's the Deinosuchus ?
no. but close, i lived in the Hateg, 65 MYA
