GigadinoDinosaurs ForumMy Take On The New AbelisaurNov 6, 2013
Ekrixinatosaurus was rather small compared to this giant, it was more likely in the 7-9 m range.
ReplyGigadinoDinosaurs Forumsarcosuchus compared to deinosuchusNov 6, 2013
Accordig to the later estimates, Deinosuchus was around to 7-10 m, same for Sarcosuchus. Both are about to the same size.

Thanks guys. I enjoyed spending the half hour writing it, and I'm glad you enjoyed.
ReplyUltra PredatorDinosaurs Forumsarcosuchus compared to deinosuchusNov 6, 2013
OK then but I would say they would be the top predators of the water ways. But if I where to compare deinosuchus and the tyrannosauride to todays crocodiles and lions when they are on the beach witch neither one controls but they always fight over
Reply**Al**Dinosaurs ForumAl the Albertosaurus Part 4Nov 5, 2013
<3 he must be the happiest Albertosaurus ever, good short story I liked it ;)
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumMy Take On The New AbelisaurNov 5, 2013
Seems pretty good. I do dub Titanovenator, who I've given the name Tarbovenator kenyanis. Terrible hunter of Kenya. Also, I think its about 8 tons while Ekrixinatosaurus was around 7. That's just my thought.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumDeinocheirus had a awesome hump on his backNov 5, 2013
Interesting, I guess I can't deny that it had a hump, but I still think it got bigger. My size comparison to the arms of Deinocheirus and Gallimimus told be that it was around 38-40 feet long.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs Forumsarcosuchus compared to deinosuchusNov 5, 2013
Ok. I don't know if I'd consider them the top predators, but they're up there. You're right, both Sarcosuchus and Deinosuchus were very similar in size and niche. I actually wrote a fight between Sarcosuchus and Spinosaurus, and another about Tyrannosaurus rex and Deinosuchus.
ReplyUltra PredatorDinosaurs Forumsarcosuchus compared to deinosuchusNov 5, 2013
well my comparison is what niches they have if you look at the time period and there size it show that these where the top predators of there place and time also how two different species have the same adaption even thought they are million years apart and on two different continents.
ReplyDinoSteve93Dinosaurs Forumsarcosuchus compared to deinosuchusNov 5, 2013
Yeah, mostly, haha. We often agree on the most, especially when it comes to large theropods ;)
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumMy Take On The New AbelisaurNov 5, 2013
Thanks. Glad you liked the name and agreed with my thinking/estimates. I felt Tyrannovenator was too tyrannosaur sounding(despite Tyrannotitan), so I went with Titanovenator instead.
ReplyDinoSteve93Dinosaurs ForumMy Take On The New AbelisaurNov 5, 2013
Interesting, Iagree with your estimations and thinking. I initially called it "Carnogigantus kenyanensis", but your name sounds better to me. Hmmm... it would be cool if we use Titanovenator as the abelisaur's name, until it's given an official new one.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs Forumsarcosuchus compared to deinosuchusNov 5, 2013
DinoSteve, your estimates are nearly the same as mine, haha
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumClash of Speed DemonsNov 5, 2013
Thanks. I tried to give more of an intro and a longer aftermath for the fight.
ReplyDinoSteve93Dinosaurs Forumsarcosuchus compared to deinosuchusNov 5, 2013
Nice. I think too Sarchosuchus is larger.
Those are my estimations:
Sarcosuchus- 33-43ft long (10-13m), 4,5-6,5 tons
Deinosuchus- 33-40ft long (10-12m), 4-5,5 tons
ReplyDinoSteve93Dinosaurs ForumClash of Speed DemonsNov 5, 2013
I liked it actually. It makes it more human. But that could happen, who knows?
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs Forumsarcosuchus compared to deinosuchusNov 5, 2013
Yeah, Sarcosuchus is more crocodilian in design while Deinosuchus was more like an alligator.

Now, my estimates are a little smaller than yours...
Sarcosuchus- 33-43 ft(10-13 meters) long and 5-7.5 tons
Deinosuchus- 30-40 ft(9-12 meters) long and 4.5-6.5 tons
But still, we both agree that Sarcosuchus was larger. Now, what is this a comparison of exactly?
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumAl the Albertosaurus Part 4Nov 5, 2013
Nice. I like how you show the transition of apex predator from Albertosaurus to Tyrannosaurus. Good job.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumClash of Speed DemonsNov 5, 2013
Glad you liked it Al and DinoSteve
How did you guys like the way the Delta woke it self up(splashing water on it's face)? I thought it'd be a nice little touch.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumDeinocheirus had a awesome hump on his backNov 5, 2013
It usually takes a while for discoveries to be made public.
Still not sure if it's a ornithomimid. If it's bulkier than others like Gallimimus and Ornithomimus, then it might be a therizinosaur(my theory). I always did think it was a herbivore though.
ReplyEustreptospondylusDinosaurs ForumDeinocheirus had a awesome hump on his backNov 5, 2013
Here's a National Geographic article on it. Apparently they found the two specimens in 2006 and 2009, which is pretty crazy since we are now just hearing about it.
ReplyDinoSteve93Dinosaurs ForumDeinocheirus had a awesome hump on his backNov 5, 2013
That's nice. I think that the hump could help in food and water reserves, like in camels. Anyway, hope it's legit.
PS- Delta, if it's legit, your dream of finding first a Deinocheirus skeleton is just gone ;)
ReplyDinoSteve93Dinosaurs ForumClash of Speed DemonsNov 5, 2013
Good fight RexFan, I was rooting for Albertosaurus.
Also, I see you included a thinking of Deltadromeus while its head was bit by the tyrannosaur. That reminds me of the Tarbo vs hadrosaur picture ;)
BTW, that's a very positice dinosaur. It just thinked "well, if that's gonna end, hope it does soon". I'd think something like ****** ******* *********** ********* **** then -------------------
ReplyDinoSteve93Dinosaurs ForumAl the Albertosaurus Part 4Nov 5, 2013
Great. Very nice short story at the end.
ReplyEustreptospondylusDinosaurs ForumDeinocheirus had a awesome hump on his backNov 5, 2013
Wow this is really cool. So it did turn out to be an Ornithomimid. I wonder what the hump was for? maybe they used it kind of like a camel uses its hump? I don't know either way this really cool.

Thanks Rex Fan I've enjoyed this fast moves battle, maybe with a couple of deltadromaues they could hurt a bit more to the Albertosaurus. Good fight.

I know a lot, I'm not crazy, but I know a lot, and I have a nice .22. Dime size groups at about 50 yards, so I'm happy.

ReplyLord VaderDinosaurs Forummy dinosaur weaponsNov 4, 2013
That's just overall gun knowledge, and while impressive for a teenage Canadian, I probably don't know anything compared to a 6 year old Redneck.

ReplyLord VaderDinosaurs Forummy dinosaur weaponsNov 4, 2013
I'd list Compsognathis as pistols, but..... aw hell, why not?
Tac 45, Five Seven, Desert Eagle .44 magnum, .357 magnum, Smith and Wesson 500 in .50 Action Express, Python .44 magnum, CZ75 or Makorov.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumClash of Speed DemonsNov 4, 2013
Of course, but you could easily predict the winner(unless both died in a disaster of some sort).
